Precincts are updated by SCBOE staff in coordination with the Stark County GIS Department (SCGIS). For precincts within a community with the same number, the specific ward is distinguished in the attribute table. The attribute table also contains several IDs, including those uses by SCBOE and SCGIS, as well as IDs for the polling place for each precinct. For static/paper maps of precincts, view the SCBOE Maps page.

    Description

When the districts running on a particular election ballot are identical for 2-6 adjacent regular precincts, California Election Code 12241 allows for those precincts to be consolidated. In Sacramento County it is policy that the consolidated precinct will bear the lowest precinct number of the original regular precincts. Through the 2016 elections, consolidated precincts with 250 or more registered voters were assigned a polling place and designated "Polling Place" precincts. Consolidated precincts with less than 250 registered voters were designated "Mail Ballot" precincts. For every Polling Place Precinct there also existed a coextensive "Vote by Mail" precinct for the registered voters of that precinct who voted by mail. Since the 2018 elections, there is no longer a distinction between "Polling Place" precincts and "Mail Ballot" precincts. All Consolidated Precincts also have a corresponding and coextensive "Vote by Mail" precinct. Because the combination of contests on ballot is unique to a particular election, the set of consolidated precincts is unique to that particular election.Sacramento County Voter Registration and Elections

The data for this map was complied from the King County Elections Canvass results and the historical precinct boundaries for the corresponding years. The data is grouped by year into six percentage ranges: 0-30%, 31-40%, 41-50%, 51-60%, 61-70%, and 71%-100%. The lighter colors represent lower turnout and the darker colors represent higher turnout. The percent turnout equals number of ballots counted divided by the number of registered voters multiplied by 100.

    Description

This dataset represent the boundaries of Fulton County voting precincts. Voting precincts are districts created for the purpose of assigning voters to polling places based on their place of residence. The boundaries are defined by the Fulton County Department of Registration and Elections. The dataset includes all precincts in Fulton County but also includes precincts for the part of the city of Atlanta that lies in DeKalb County because the Fulton County Department of Registration and Elections conducts elections for the the city of Atlanta even though the precincts in DeKalb County are defined by DeKalb County. Precincts are identified by alphanumeric designators which typically begin with a two-letter prefix indicating the city in which they lie. For example, precinct JS09 lies in the city of Johns Creek. The only exception to this convention is assignment of designators for precincts in the city of Atlanta, which begin with a two digit number indicating the council district in which they lie followed by a letter or letter and number combination to make each designator unique. The designator is recorded in the dataset in the field VoterDist. Changes to precinct boundaries can be triggered by a number of events including the redistricting that occurs as part of the reapportionment process following the decennial census, annexation of land by municipalities, and requests from municipalities to change the number of precincts with their boundaries. Any change to a precinct boundary must go through a formal process that begins with the documentation of the proposed change, approval by the County Board of Registration and Elections and approval by the County Board of Commissioners.

A voting district is a geographical area which is represented by a seat or numerous seats in a legislative body. These boundaries are created by State and local governments for the purpose of administering elections. These boundaries are updated by the Indiana General Assembly by aggregating local data annually, and are often used to build Congress and General Assembly districts during the redistricting process. This dataset contains attributes for the district's county FIPS code, the district name, a full FIPS ID, and what US Congress, General Assembly House, and General Assembly Senate district each polygon resides in. This data is made available by the Indiana General Assembly on an annual basis.
