The District of Columbia government uses the Master Address Repository (MAR) to implement intelligent search functionality for finding and verifying addresses, place names, blocks and intersections. It provides complete standardization of addressing components so that agency applications and systems maintain clean integration. Most often the MAR is solely known for its address points. But did you know it is also a web data service, a standalone app, a toolbar and website? Did you know uses of the MAR go beyond DC government and are available for public use in your applications? Take a look at what we've done with it and then make it your own.

This study is devoted to an analysis of presentation format differences in factorial survey experiments by the example of fear of crime as conceptualized by criminological theories. Guided by approaches from the psychology of cognition, we aim at a systematic comparison of the processing of factorial survey experiments based either on written or visual vignettes. We conducted a cross-sectional web survey in 2014 among n = 1449 students of a German university. Within the framework of a split ballot-experiment, we varied the presentation format of vignettes which were part of a factorial survey experiment. The results of our study show that dropout rates do not differ between presentation formats while processing time and self-reported fatigue are reduced when using visual vignettes.
Description
The in-Vehicle Face Presentation Attack Detection (VFPAD) dataset consists of 4046 bona-fide recordings from 40 subjects, and 1790 attack presentation videos from a total of 89 PAIs (presentation attack instruments). These presentations have been captured using an NIR camera (940 nm) placed on the steering wheel of the car, while NIR illuminators have been fixed on both front pillars (adjacent to the wind-shield) of the car. The bona-fide videos represent 24 male and 16 female subjects of various ethnicities. The PAI species used to construct this dataset include photo-prints, digital displays (for replay attacks), rigid 3D masks, and flexible 3D masks made of silicone.

Unlike other glycoproteins, correct folding of MHC class I molecules is not sufficient to trigger their exit from the ER, they exit only after peptide loading. Described here is the process of antigen presentation which consists of the folding, assembly, and peptide loading of MHC class I molecules. The newly synthesized MHC class I Heavy Chain (HC) is initially folded with the help of several chaperones (calnexin, BiP, ERp57) and then binds with Beta-2-microglobulin (B2M). This MHC:B2M heterodimer enters the peptide loading complex (PLC), a multiprotein complex that includes calreticulin, endoplasmic reticulum resident protein 57 (ERp57), transporter associated with antigen processing (TAP) and tapasin. Peptides generated from Ub-proteolysis are transported into the ER through TAP. These peptides are further trimmed by ER-associated aminopeptidase (ERAP) and loaded on to MHC class I molecules. Stable MHC class I trimers with high-affinity peptide are transported from the ER to the cell surface by the Golgi apparatus.
