During the week ending July 4, 2025, the price of automotive fuels in France recorded a slight decrease. The price of diesel was at approximately **** euros per liter, including all taxes. The inflation since 2022 relates to increasing uncertainty over motor fuel supplies after Russia invaded Ukraine on February 24, 2022, and with the Hamas-Israel conflict started in October 2023.

At 0.12 euros per kilowatt-hour, gas prices reached their highest value in the observed period. In 2023, the average price of household natural gas in France amounted to *** euros per megawatt-hour, up from ** euros in the previous year.
