Weighted mean applied tariff is the average of effectively applied rates weighted by the product import shares corresponding to each partner country. Data are classified using the Harmonized System of trade at the six- or eight-digit level. Tariff line data were matched to Standard International Trade Classification (SITC) revision 3 codes to define commodity groups and import weights. To the extent possible, specific rates have been converted to their ad valorem equivalent rates and have been included in the calculation of weighted mean tariffs. Import weights were calculated using the United Nations Statistics Division's Commodity Trade (Comtrade) database. Effectively applied tariff rates at the six- and eight-digit product level are averaged for products in each commodity group. When the effectively applied rate is unavailable, the most favored nation rate is used instead. Primary products are commodities classified in SITC revision 3 sections 0-4 plus division 68 (nonferrous metals).

TwitterThe datasets comprise greenhouse gas (GHG) emission factors (Factors) for 1,016 U.S. commodities as defined by the 2017 version of the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS). The Factors are based on GHG data for 2022. Factors are given for all NAICS-defined commodities at the 6-digit level except for electricity, government, and households. Each record consists of three factor types as in the previous releases: Supply Chain Emissions without Margins (SEF), Margins of Supply Chain Emissions (MEF), and Supply Chain Emissions with Margins (SEF+MEF). One set of Factors provides kg carbon dioxide equivalents (CO2e) per 2022 U.S. dollar (USD) for all GHGs combined using 100-yr global warming potentials from IPCC 5th report (AR5) to calculate the equivalents. In this dataset there is one SEF, MEF and SEF+MEF per commodity. The other dataset of Factors provides kg of each unique GHG emitted per 2022 dollar per commodity without the CO2e calculation. The dollar in the denominator of all factors uses purchaser prices. See the supporting file 'Aboutv1.3SupplyChainGHGEmissionFactors.docx' for complete documentation of this dataset.

Supermarkets around the world use Price Look Up Codes to encode and catalogue their produce items. Those are the numbers that you find on stickers on bananas or apples. The International Federation for Produce Standards (IFPS) is the global organisation that maintains and assigns those codes in a standardised way.
This dataset contains the currently defined Price Look Up Codes; about 1,500 distinct numbers at the time this dataset was first published on Kaggle. The data has been derived via the PLU search on the IFPS website. I will keep the data updated as new codes are added or items are revised.
Alongside the Price Look Up Codes the data contains the produce item's category, measurements, dates of addition to the database, and others. Features are described below. After downloading the data, I'm adding some light wrangling operations to clean column names, remove empty columns, adjust date formats, and to tidy some strings.
Most of the feature names are pretty self-explanatory. I've put together this list with the help of the IFPS website. Note, that some columns contain a significant percentage of NA values.
plu: Numeric Price Look Up Code. Primary key.
category: String feature corresponding to a low-cardinaly categorical; e.g. "fruits" or "vegetables".
commodity: High-cardinality string categorical that is more specific than category; e.g. "apples" vs "oranges" for fruit.
variety: High-cardinality string categorical that is more specific than commodity; e.g. "Alkmene" vs "Golden Delicious Blush" for apples.
size: Which sizes does the product come in? Low-cardinality string categorical; e.g. "small" vs "large".
measurements_north_america: String. "The size (count 100 or 88) refers to the number of fruits/vegetables in a standard box most commonly in use in N. America" (IFPS). Large percentage of NAs.
measurements_rest_of_world: String. "Average fruit/vegetable weight or diameter is not a minimum weight or diameter, but the average weight or diameter of the items contained in the box irrespective of its size (capacity)" (IFPS). Large percentage of NAs.
restrictions: String. Mostly specifying restrictions on the geographical usage of the code. Large percentage of NAs.
botanical: String. Botanical name.
aka: String. Also known as.
updated_at: Date. When the information in this row was revised.
created_at: Date. When the code was added to the database.
All credit for creating this dataset goes to the International Federation for Produce Standards.
