U.S. gasoline prices decreased across all fuel grades in July 2025 when compared to the month before. Regular gasoline prices rose to an average of 3.17 U.S. dollars per gallon. Higher grade fuels have higher octane levels, meaning that the fuel can be compressed more in the engine. This enables high-performance engines to create more power.
