    Description

Publication Date: February 2025. This polygon layer is updated annually.

This layer contains 2023-2024 parcel data only for NY State counties which gave NYS ITs Geospatatial Services permission to share this data with the public. Work to obtain parcel data from additional counties, as well as permission to share the data, is ongoing. To date, 36 counties have provided the Geospatial Services permission to share their parcel data with the public. Parcel data for counties which do not allow the Geospatial Services to redistribute their data must be obtained directly from those counties. Geospatial Services' goal is to eventually include parcel data for all counties in New York State.

Parcel geometry was incorporated as received from County Real Property Departments. No attempt was made to edge-match parcels along adjacent counties. County attribute values were populated using 2023-2024 Assessment Roll tabular data Geospatial Services obtained from the NYS Department of Tax and Finance’s Office of Real Property Tax Services (ORPTS). Tabular assessment data was joined to the county provided parcel geometry using the SWIS & SBL or SWIS & PRINT KEY unique identifier for each parcel.

Detailed information about assessment attributes can be found in the ORPTS Assessor’s Manuals available here: https://www.tax.ny.gov/research/property/assess/manuals/assersmanual.htm. New York City data comes from NYC MapPluto which can be found here: https://www1.nyc.gov/site/planning/data-maps/open-data/dwn-pluto-mappluto.page.

This layer displays when zoomed in below 1:37,051-scale.

This map service is available to the public.

Geometry accuracy varies by contributing county.

Thanks to the following counties that specifically authorized Geospatial Services to share their GIS tax parcel data with the public: Albany, Cayuga, Chautauqua, Cortland, Erie, Genesee, Greene, Hamilton, Lewis, Livingston, Montgomery, New York City (Bronx, Kings, New York, Queens, Richmond), Oneida, Onondaga, Ontario, Orange, Oswego, Otsego, Putnam, Rensselaer, Rockland, Schuyler, Steuben, St Lawrence, Suffolk, Sullivan, Tioga, Tompkins, Ulster, Warren, Wayne, and Westchester.

The State of New York, acting through the New York State Office of Information Technology Services, makes no representations or warranties, express or implied, with respect to the use of or reliance on the Data provided. The User accepts the Data provided “as is” with no guarantees that it is error free, complete, accurate, current or fit for any particular purpose and assumes all risks associated with its use. The State disclaims any responsibility or legal liability to Users for damages of any kind, relating to the providing of the Data or the use of it. Description

This data, indicating the supply class for Mohawk River Watershed tax parcels, was collected by Stone Environmental, Inc. for the New York State Department of State with funds provided under Title 11 of the Environmental Protection Fund. These data represent tax parcel boundaries. Data are meant for watershed planning purposes only. Mohawk River Watershed Coalition of Conservation Districts does not take responsibility for the overall content and/or spatial accuracy of the tax parcel data available for download on this page. You should always verify actual map data and information. The limitations and accuracy level of the data should be accounted for before using them in any analyses and their validity cannot be guaranteed.Parcel boundary data was acquired by county offices. Individual County and Town files were compiled to create a seamless coverage of Tax Parcels. Areas of overlap were eliminated by clipping to adjacent county boundaries. Attribute information of interest, property class code, residential development from 1945 to present (year built), sewer service code, and water service codes were obtained from the New York Office of Real Property Services (ORPS, accessed in November 2011). Parcel boundaries and attribute information from ORPS were joined based on the municipality code and print key.Source Information:Albany: Albany County Real Property Tax Services. 2010 Albany County, NY parcel boundaries derived from AutoCAD MAP 3D tax maps; Delaware: Delaware County Planning Department. Description

This dataset is a series of digital map-posters accompanying the AdaptNRM Guide: Helping Biodiversity Adapt: supporting climate adaptation planning using a community-level modelling approach.

These represent supporting materials and information about the community-level biodiversity models applied to climate change. Map posters are organised by four biological groups (vascular plants, mammals, reptiles and amphibians), two climate change scenario (1990-2050 MIROC5 and CanESM2 for RCP8.5), and five measures of change in biodiversity.

The map-posters present the nationally consistent data at locally relevant resolutions in eight parts – representing broad groupings of NRM regions based on the cluster boundaries used for climate adaptation planning (http://www.environment.gov.au/climate-change/adaptation) and also Nationally.

Map-posters are provided in PNG image format at moderate resolution (300dpi) to suit A0 printing. The posters were designed to meet A0 print size and digital viewing resolution of map detail. An additional set in PDF image format has been created for ease of download for initial exploration and printing on A3 paper. Some text elements and map features may be fuzzy at this resolution.

Each map-poster contains four dataset images coloured using standard legends encompassing the potential range of the measure, even if that range is not represented in the dataset itself or across the map extent.

Most map series are provided in two parts: part 1 shows the two climate scenarios for vascular plants and mammals and part 2 shows reptiles and amphibians. Eight cluster maps for each series have a different colour theme and map extent. A national series is also provided. Annotation briefly outlines the topics presented in the Guide so that each poster stands alone for quick reference.

An additional 77 National maps presenting the probability distributions of each of 77 vegetation types – NVIS 4.1 major vegetation subgroups (NVIS subgroups) - are currently in preparation.

    Example citations:

Williams KJ, Raisbeck-Brown N, Prober S, Harwood T (2015) Generalised projected distribution of vegetation types – NVIS 4.1 major vegetation subgroups (1990 and 2050), A0 map-poster 8.1 - East Coast NRM regions. This dataset has been delivered incrementally. Please check that you are accessing the latest version of the dataset. Lineage: The map posters show case the scientific data. The data layers have been developed at approximately 250m resolution (9 second) across the Australian continent to incorporate the interaction between climate and topography, and are best viewed using a geographic information system (GIS). Each data layers is 1Gb, and inaccessible to non-GIS users. The map posters provide easy access to the scientific data, enabling the outputs to be viewed at high resolution with geographical context information provided.

Maps were generated using layout and drawing tools in ArcGIS 10.2.2

A check list of map posters and datasets is provided with the collection.

    Description

Output formatted extracts from ALKIS, property map Rhineland-Palatinate (RP31) analogue or print-prepared (PDF). In the property register, data of a factual and legal nature must be provided on all properties (lots and buildings), including data on the owners and hereditary builders of the plots. The property register consists in particular of the property map and the property description. The property map is the scaled down and leveled graphical representation of all in the official property cadastre information system (ALKIS®) managed properties. The presentation of the property map on a scale of 1: 1 000 is an official property map and a graphical basis for the official list of plots of land within the meaning of Paragraph 2(2) of the Land Registry Code. The product RP31 - Property map shows the graphic representation of the plot on the selected scale (free scale). The choice of scale 1:1000 (official property map) may be necessary due to specific requirements of external persons and bodies.

    Description

Land cover maps are the basic data layer required for understanding and modeling ecological patterns and processes. The Circumpolar Arctic Vegetation Map (CAVM), produced in 2003, has been widely used as a base map for studies in the arctic tundra biome. However, the relatively coarse resolution and vector format of the map were not compatible with many other data sets. We present a new version of the CAVM, building on the strengths of the original map, while providing a finer spatial resolution, raster format, and improved mapping. The Raster CAVM uses the legend, extent and projection of the original CAVM. The legend has 16 vegetation types, glacier, saline water, freshwater, and non-arctic land. The Raster CAVM divides the original rock-water-vegetation complex map unit that mapped the Canadian Shield into two map units, distinguishing between areas with lichen- and shrub-dominated vegetation. In contrast to the original hand-drawn CAVM, the new map is based on unsupervised classifications of seventeen geographic/floristic sub-sections of the Arctic, using the Advanced Very High Resolution Radiometer (AVHRR) and Moderate Resolution Imaging Spectroradiometer (MODIS) data (reflectance and Normalized Difference Vegetation Index (NDVI)) and elevation data. The units resulting from the classification were modeled to the CAVM types using a wide variety of ancillary data. The map was reviewed by experts familiar with their particular region, including many of the original authors of the CAVM from Canada, Greenland (Denmark), Iceland, Norway (including Svalbard), Russia, and the United States (U.S.). The analysis presented here summarizes the area, geographical distribution, elevation, summer temperatures, and NDVI of the map units. The greater spatial resolution of the Raster CAVM allowed more detailed mapping of water-bodies and mountainous areas. It portrays coastal-inland gradients, and better reflects the heterogeneity of vegetation type distribution than the original CAVM. Accuracy assessment of random 1-kilometer (km) pixels interpreted from 6 Landsat scenes showed an average of 70 percent (%) accuracy, up from 39 % for the original CAVM. The distribution of shrub-dominated types changed the most, with more prostrate shrub tundra mapped in mountainous areas, and less low shrub tundra in lowland areas. This improved mapping is important for quantifying existing and potential changes to land cover, a key environmental indicator for modeling and monitoring ecosystems. The Raster CAVM was released in 2019. Raster map data are available for download from Menedeley Data (DOI: 10.17632/c4xj5rv6kv.2). This data record contains PDFs a 36x36-inch print version of the map at at 1:7,000,000. The print map is illustrated with photographs of representative plant communities and species for each of the 16 map units, data on the area of each unit, and information on the making of raster CAVM. The press-quality version includes a 1/8-inch bleed on all sides to allow the map to printed at 36.25 square inches and trimmed to produce a "full bleed" map with color extending to the edge on all sides.
