In fact, after starting approximately 113 billion euros in 2010, the value of private pension assets grew significantly in the following years in Italy.
Private pension assets are defined as all forms of private investment with a value associated to a pension plan over which ownership rights are enforced by institutional units, individually or collectively.
The table also shows the average annual contribution per individual. The data is derived from annual personal pension information submitted to HM Revenue and Customs by pension providers for each individual scheme member.
