The 5m DEM is derived from the LiDAR2019B dataset (consisting of the 2018, 2019A and 2019B datasets). The 5m DEM has a vertical accuracy of 30cm. The Soil and Terrain database for South Africa primary data (version 1.0), at scale 1:1 million (SOTER_South_Africa), was compiled of enhanced soil information within the framework of the FAO's program Land Degradation Assessment in Drylands (LADA). Primary soil and terrain data for South Africa were obtained from the SOTERSAF database (ver. 1) at scale 1:2 million. This version of SOTER_South_Africa includes some changes in the GIS file, based on the SRTM-DEM derived data and a changes of the attributes database. SOTER forms a part of the ongoing activities of ISRIC, FAO and UNEP to update the world's baseline information on natural resources.The project involved collaboration with national soil institutes from the countries in the region as well as individual experts.

Predmet izrade Studije je utvrđivanje postojećeg stanja pokrivenosti terena Kantona Sarajevo po kategorijama upotrebe zemljišta, usklađenog s nomenklaturom i kodiranjem, a prema standardima CORINE Land Cover projekta (CLC) na nivou Evropske unije. CORINE klasifikacija je razvijena i prilagođena uslovima u Bosni i Hercegovini za mjerilo karte 1:5.000. Studija inventarizacije stanja i izrada baze podataka pokrivenosti i načina korištenja zemljišta Kantona Sarajevo u GIS tehnologiji urađena je upotrebom satelitskih snimaka iz 2006 godine, ortofoto snimaka iz 2008 godine u mjerilu 1:5.000, aero foto snimaka, postojeće pedološke karte mjerila 1:50.000, karte upotrebne vrijednosti zemljišta 1:10.000, te dodatnim terenskim istraživanjima i provjerama podataka. Osnovni ciljevi izrade Studije su da se: - ustanovi bilans stanja zemljišnih resursa, - ustanove kategorije pokrivenosti i upotrebe zemljišta, - izradi karta namjene površina, odnosno pokrivenosti i upotrebe zemljišta kojim će se razgraničiti produktivno zemljište (poljoprivredno i šumsko) od neproduktivnih zemljišnih površina (zemljište upotrijebljeno u druge svrhe). Kao finalni proizvod dobivena je sintezna karta 1:50.000 (baza podataka na 1:5.000), na kojoj su istaknute posebne vrijednosti prostora – šuma, šikare i rubni dijelovi šume, stanište, tradicionalni voćnjaci, uređeno kultivirano zemljište i sl., kao osnova budućeg planiranja razvoja Kantona Sarajevo i njegovog prostornog uređenja uz racionalnu primjenu i optimalno korištenje zemljišnih resursa.

The City of Cape Town Ground Level Map 2019 is defined in the City of Cape Town Municipal Planning Amendment By-law, 2019 as: “‘City of Cape Town Ground Level Map’ means a map approved in terms of the development management scheme, indicating the existing ground level based on floating point raster’s and a contour dataset from LiDAR information available to the City”.The Ground Level Map was approved by the City Council on the 27th July 2023.Contour lines connect a series of points of equal elevation and are used to illustrate topography, or relief, on a map and can be drawn at various desired intervals. This dataset displays contours drawn at every 2m height interval. Numerous contours that are close together indicate hilly or mountainous terrain; and when far apart, they represent a gentler slope. The contours were derived from LiDAR (Light Detection and Ranging) data that was captured in 3 blocks in the years 2018 to 2019. The LiDAR point cloud has a density of 2 to 3 points per square metre at a vertical accuracy of 0.1m (95%). The 5m DEM is derived from the LiDAR dataset and has a vertical accuracy of 0.3m. The contours are derived through bipolar interpolation from the 5m DEM raster. According to the vertical accuracy standard, the 2m contours must be accurate to half the contour interval value. In other words, the 2m contour dataset has a vertical accuracy of 1m. The height reference used is the SA Land Levelling Datum and the SAGEOID2010 was employed.Accuracy Statement: The standard vertical accuracy of contours stipulates that the elevation of 90 percent of all points tested must be correct within half of the contour interval.
