Using Deep learning Objects, the images were re-classified into useful consistent colours. Deep Learning Objects and Training The resulting mosaic was then prepared for reclassification using the Label Objects for Deep Learning tool in ArcGIS Pro. A training sample, "LandUseTrainingSamples20211220", was created in the geodatabase for all land use types as follows: Neighbourhoods Insitutional Natural Areas Core Employment Areas Mixed Use Areas Apartment Neighbourhoods Parks Roads Utility Corridors Other Open Spaces General Employment Areas Regeneration Areas Lettering (not a land use type, but an image colour (black), used to label streets). The Canadian County Parcel Data Public View is a set of geospatial features representing the surface ownership of property in fee simple for property tax purposes as required by 68 O.S. § 2821 and other related data used to produce the parcels such as subdivision boundaries and subdivision lots. The data is created from source documentation filed with the Canadian County Clerk's Office including deeds, easements, and plats. Other data sources such as filed Certified Corner Records filed with the State of Oklahoma or highway plans produced by the Department of Transportation may be used to adjust parcel boundaries. Single legal descriptions may be split up into two or more parcels if the description crosses the boundaries of multiple taxing jurisdictions or crosses quarter section boundaries. Accuracy of parcel data can vary considerably due to a combination of factors. Most parcels and subdivision legal descriptions reference a quarter section or quarter section corner. The accuracy of the quarter section corners is discussed with Canadian County's Public Land Survey System Data. Accuracy is further enhanced or degraded by the quality of the legal description used to create the feature. Generally, legal descriptions created from surveys will have higher accuracy the newer they were created due to improvements in the field of surveying. However, it can be difficult to determine the age of a legal description as descriptions are generally reused on subsequent deeds after the description was first created. Legal descriptions can occasionally contain updated bearings and distances and may denote the updates. The Assessor's Office uses the latest available legal description for creating parcels. Legal descriptions may lack specificity such as the use of "North" instead of a measured bearing or have missing parameters such as missing bearings for curved boundaries. In these cases, parcel data accuracy can be degraded. Further, if a legal description contains a specific landmark or boundary, sometimes called a "bound", the boundary is drawn to that point or landmark regardless of whether the bearing and/or distance accurately arrive at that point. For instance, if a legal description reads "...to the south line of the southeast quarter", the boundary is drawn to the south line of the quarter section even if the bearing and distance are short of or extend beyond that point. Because parcel data must be created for the entire county regardless of the accuracy of the descriptions used to create those parcels, parcels may need to be "stretched" or "squeezed" to make them fit together. When possible, the Assessor's Office relies on the most accurate legal descriptions to set the boundaries and then fits older boundaries to them. Due to the large number of variables, parcel data accuracy cannot be guaranteed nor can the level of accuracy be described for the entire dataset. While Canadian County makes every reasonable effort to make sure parcel data is accurate, this data cannot be used in place of a survey performed by an Oklahoma Licensed Professional Land Surveyor.ParcelDataExternal - Polygons representing surface fee simple title. This data set provides local LAI maps for the selected measured sites in Canada. These derived maps may also be useful for validating other LAI maps over these same sites given that the areas are protected from disturbance. The maps should be used for the given period of validity. The LAI data are suitable for use in modeling the carbon, water, energy, energy and trace gas exchange between the land surface and the atmosphere at regional scales. The data set may also be useful for monitoring changes in the land surface.The Leaf Area Index (LAI) maps are at 30-m resolution for the selected sites. LAI is defined here as half the total (all-sided) live foliage area per unit horizontal projected ground surface area. Overstory LAI corresponds to all tree foliage except for treeless areas where it corresponds to total foliage. The algorithms were developed from ground measurements and Landsat TM and ETM+ images (Fernandes et. al., 2003). A mask was developed using the Landsat ETM+/TM5 image and available land cover map to identify only those areas with land cover belonging to the sample land cover classes and with Landsat ETM+/TM5 spectral reflectance values that fell within the convex hull of the spectral reflectance values over the plots. LAI was mapped within the masked region using the Landsat ETM+/TM5 image and the developed transfer function. The final LAI map was scaled by a factor of 20 (offset 0). The LAI maps are in Tagged Image File Format (TIFF).

Land cover information is necessary for a large range of environmental applications related to climate impacts and adaption, emergency response, wildlife habitat, etc. In Canada, a 2008 user survey indicated that the most practical land cover data is provided in a nationwide 30 m spatial resolution format, with an update frequency of five years. In response to this need, the Canada Centre for Remote Sensing (CCRS) has generated a 30 m land cover map of Canada for the base year 2010, as the first of a planned series of maps to be updated every five years, or more frequently. This land cover dataset is also the Canadian contribution to the 30 m spatial resolution 2010 Land Cover Map of North America, which is produced by Mexican, American and Canadian government institutions under a collaboration called the North American Land Change Monitoring System (NALCMS). This land cover dataset for Canada is produced using observation from Thematic Mapper (TM) and Enhanced Thematic Mapper (ETM+) Landsat sensors. An accuracy assessment based on 2811 randomly distributed samples shows that land cover data produced with this new approach has achieved 76.60% accuracy with no marked spatial disparities. - Land Cover of Canada - Cartographic Product Collection
Data include a collection of annual land cover maps derived from MODIS 250 m spatial resolution remotely sensed imagery for the period 2000 to 2011. Processing of the time series was designed to reduce the occurrence of false change between maps. The method was based on change updating as described in Pouliot et al. (2011, 2013). Change detection accounted for both abrupt changes such as forest harvesting and more gradual changes such as recurrent insect defoliation. To determine the new label for a pixel identified as change, an evidential reasoning approach was used to combine spectral and contextual information. The 2005 MODIS land cover of Canada at 250 m spatial resolution described in Latifovic et al. (2012) was used as the base map. It contains 39 land cover classes, which for time series development was considered too detailed and was reduced to 25 and 19 class versions. The 19 class version corresponds to the North America Land Change Monitoring System (NALCMS) Level 2 legend as described in Latifovic et al. (2012). Accuracy assessment of time series is difficult due to the need to assess many maps. For areas of change in the time series accuracy was found to be 70% based on the 19 class thematic legend. This time series captures the spatial distribution of dominant land cover transitions. It is intended for use in modeling, development of remote sensing products such as leaf area index or land cover based albedo retrievals, and other exploratory analysis. It is not appropriate for use in any rigorous reporting or inventory assessments due to the accuracy of the land cover classification and uncertainty as to the capture of all relevant changes for an application. Layers in this dataset represent Public Land Survey System subdivisions for Canadian County. Included are Townships, Sections, Quarter Sections and Government Lots. This data was created from 2019 to 2021 as part of a project to update county parcel data in partnership with ProWest & Associates (https://www.prowestgis.com/) and CEC Corporation (https://www.connectcec.com/). Corners were located to the quarter section level and additional corners were determined for the South Canadian River meanders based on the original government surveys. Quarter section corners were located using Certified Corner Records ( filed by Oklahoma licensed professional surveyors with the Oklahoma Department of Libraries where those records included coordinates. When a corner record could not be found or did not include coordinates, other interpolation methods were employed. These included connecting known corner record locations to unknown corners using data from filed subdivisions or from highway plans on record with the Oklahoma Department of Transportation. Where no corner records with coordinates were available and no interpolation methods could be used, aerial inspection was used to locate corners as the last option.Corner location accuracy varies as the method of locating the corner varies. For corners located using Certified Corner Records, accuracy is high depending on the age of the corner record and can possibly be less than 1 U.S. Foot. For corners located using interpolation methods, accuracy depends on the additional material used to interpolate the corner. In general, newer subdivisions and highway plans yield higher accuracy. For meander corners located using original government surveys, accuracy will be low due to the age of those surveys which date to the 1870's at the earliest. Additionally, corners that were located with aerials as the last available option cannot be assumed to be accurate.The data was built at the quarter section level first by connecting located corners and larger subdivisions were created from the quarter sections. For townships that extend into Grady County, township lines were only roughly located outside sections not in Canadian County.

The 2015 North American Land Cover 30-meter dataset was produced as part of the North American Land Change Monitoring System (NALCMS), a trilateral effort between Natural Resources Canada, the United States Geological Survey, and three Mexican organizations including the National Institute of Statistics and Geography (Instituto Nacional de Estadística y Geografía), National Commission for the Knowledge and Use of the Biodiversity (Comisión Nacional Para el Conocimiento y Uso de la Biodiversidad), and the National Forestry Commission of Mexico (Comisión Nacional Forestal). The collaboration is facilitated by the Commission for Environmental Cooperation, an international organization created by the Canada, Mexico, and United States governments under the North American Agreement on Environmental Cooperation to promote environmental collaboration between the three countries.The general objective of NALCMS is to devise, through collective effort, a harmonized multi-scale land cover monitoring approach which ensures high accuracy and consistency in monitoring land cover changes at the North American scale and which meets each country’s specific requirements.This 30-meter dataset of North American Land Cover reflects land cover information for 2015 from Mexico and Canada and 2016 for the United States. Each country developed its own classification method to identify Land Cover classes and then provided an input layer to produce a continental Land Cover map across North America. Canada, Mexico, and the United States developed their own 30-meter land cover products; see specific sections on data generation below.The main inputs for image classification were 30-meter Landsat 4-8 Collection 1 Level 2 data in the Canada and United States Maps(including Alaska) and 5-meters RapidEye for Mexico land cover map. Image selection processes and reduction to specific spectral bands varied among the countries due to study-site-specific requirements. While Canada selected most images from the year 2015 with a few from 2014 and 2016, the United States employed mainly images from 2016 with few images from 2015 and 2017. Mexico used all available 5-meters RapidEye images from January to December 2015, orthorectified as individual 25 by 25 kilometers tiles and the resampled to 30-meters pixel size.In order to generate a seamless and consistent land cover map of North America, national maps were generated for Canada by the CCRS; for Mexico by CONABIO, INEGI, and CONAFOR; and for the United States by the USGS. Each country chose their own approaches, ancillary data, and land cover mapping methodologies to create national datasets. This North America dataset was produced by combining the national land cover datasets. The integration of the three national products merged four Land Cover map sections, Alaska, Conterminous United States and Mexico.In this second version of the North America Land Cover map, the Alaska section has been updated from the map released in February 2020 (version 1). The United States Geological Survey (USGS) provided an updated land cover map of Alaska in July 2020, which was consequently integrated in the continental map and replaced the first version. This is a georeferenced raster image of a printed paper map of the Hamilton, Ontario region (Sheet No. 030M05), published in 1952. It is the third edition in a series of maps, which show both natural and man-made features such as relief, spot heights, administrative boundaries, secondary and side roads, railways, trails, wooded areas, waterways including lakes, rivers, streams and rapids, bridges, buildings, mills, power lines, terrain, and land formations. This map was published in 1952 and the information on the map is current as of 1952. Maps were produced by Natural Resources Canada (NRCan) and it's preceding agencies, in partnership with other government agencies. Please note: image / survey capture dates can span several years, and some details may have been updated later than others. Please consult individual map sheets for detailed production information, which can be found in the bottom left hand corner. Original maps were digitally scanned by McGill Libraries in partnership with Canadiana.org, and georeferencing for the maps was provided by the University of Toronto Libraries and Eastview Corporation.
