This layer contains parcels data for Oswego County, NY as taken from the current digitized version of the county tax maps. Originally drawn by Stewart Mapping Services, Inc of San Antonio Texas in 1975, but with digital topology corrected by Oswego County's Department of Real Property Tax Services from 1996-present. Contains taxable parcels attributed with assessment data taken from local assessment rolls.Geography is based upon the taxable status date of March 1st, 2025. Assessment attributes are from the latest final assessment roll (2024) except ownership which is updated bi-monthly on Fridays to reflect the most current owners of record. Click here to retrieve a data dictionary for decoding fields.Note: The original tax maps that these files were digitized from only had an accuracy between 10-20 feet on ground. While every effort is made to maintain this geographic data in an accurate format, the lines drawn from this data are fundamentally informational in nature and are not equivalent to survey grade. Geoprocessing has been applied to this specific web layer to allow faster drawing of lines which can further degrade the accuracy of their geometry. Finally, these parcels are used to create county tax maps which have the sole use case of giving assistance for local municipal assessors in the fulfillment of their duties, there is no warranty (expressed or implied) for any other use.

A 6-in resolution 8-class land cover dataset derived from the 2017 Light Detection and Ranging (LiDAR) data capture. This dataset was developed as part of an updated urban tree canopy assessment and therefore represents a ''top-down" mapping perspective in which tree canopy overhanging features is assigned to the tree canopy class. The eight land cover classes mapped were: (1) Tree Canopy, (2) Grass\Shrubs, (3) Bare Soil, (4) Water, (5) Buildings, (6) Roads, (7) Other Impervious, and (8) Railroads. The primary sources used to derive this land cover layer were 2017 LiDAR (1-ft post spacing) and 2016 4-band orthoimagery (0.5-ft resolution). This dataset represents a compilation of data from various government agencies throughout the City of New York. The underlying geography is derived from the Tax Lot Polygon feature class that is part of the Department of Finance's Digital Tax Map (DTM). The tax lots have been clipped to the shoreline, as defined by NYCMap planimetric features. The attribute information is from the Department of City Planning's PLUTO data. The attribute data pertains to tax lot and building characteristics and geographic, political and administrative information for each tax lot in New York City.The Tax Lot Polygon feature class and PLUTO are derived from different sources. As a result, some PLUTO records do not have a corresponding tax lot in the Tax Lot polygon feature class at the time of release. These records are included in a separate non-geographic PLUTO Only table. There are a number of reasons why there can be a tax lot in PLUTO that does not match the DTM; the most common reason is that the various source files are maintained by different departments and divisions with varying update cycles and criteria for adding and removing records. The attribute definitions for the PLUTO Only table are the same as those for MapPLUTO. DCP Mapping Lots includes some features that are not on the tax maps. They have been added by DCP for cartographic purposes. They include street center 'malls', traffic islands and some built streets through parks. The objective of this data collection was to examine inequalities of wealth and the geographic distribution of wealthy individuals in late 18th- and early 19th-century New York and to investigate wealth in relationship to occupation and location. For this study, the entire set of tax assessment records and United States Census records for New York City were computerized and occupational status was added for all entries. The collection addresses topics such as social class structure, demographic factors, occupational status and geographic distribution, property values and geographic distribution, and the relationship of these factors to the political system. Units of analysis were individual property owners and renters for the tax assessment data and heads of households for the census data. Data collected included the individual's name, address, occupation, sex, and race, the type, quantity, and value of real and personal property, and the type and occupancy of the structure at the address. Occupational data from city directories were used to supplement the tax and census data.
This forest patch layer was created using a 2017 high-resolution urban tree canopy map of New York City derived from LiDAR and NAIP imagery (https://data.cityofnewyork.us/Environment/Tree-Canopy-Change-2010-2017-/by9k-vhck). To identify forest area, tree canopy over impervious surfaces was first subtracted from the canopy layer, including buildings and roads identified from planimetric data available from New York City (https://opendata.cityofnewyork.us/). Morphological spatial pattern analysis (MSPA; Vogt et al. 2007) was then used to distinguish forest patches from remaining tree canopy using an edge parameter of 15 m based on observed changes in vegetation composition and structure (Baker, unpublished data). MSPA applies the edge parameter to distinguish interiors (i.e. ‘cores’) from surrounding edges, as well as five other morphometric primitives (i.e. branches, bridges, loops, and islets) that reflect how canopy is or is not connected to cores. Patches always include core areas and their surrounding edges, as well as any perforations. Patches are separated into two size classes: Forested Natural Areas are patches with greater core area and thickness than Groves.Patches are classified by land ownership categories using local parcel data available from New York City (https://data.cityofnewyork.us/City-Government/Primary-Land-Use-Tax-Lot-Output-PLUTO-/64uk-42ks/data). In 2016 NYC Parks contracted with the UVM Spatial Analysis Lab to use modern remote sensing and object-based image analysis to create a new wetlands map for New York City. Data inputs include Light Detection and Ranging Data, State and Federal Wetland Inventories, soils, and field data. Because the map was conservative in its wetlands predictions, NYC Parks staff improved the map through a series of desktop and field verification efforts. From June to November 2020, NYC Parks staff field verified the majority of wetlands on NYC Parks' property. The map will be opportunistically updated depending on available field information and delineations. Another dedicated field verification effort has not been planned. As of June 2021, no subsequent updates to the data are scheduled. Original field names were updated to field names that are easier to understand. This dataset was developed to increase awareness regarding the location and extent of wetlands to promote restoration and conservation in New York City. This map does not supersede U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service National Wetlands Inventory (NWI) and New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (NYSDEC) wetlands maps and has no jurisdictional authority. It should be used alongside NWI and NYSDEC datasets as a resource for identifying likely locations of wetlands in New York City. Mapped features vary in the confidence of their verification status, ranging from "Unverified" (meaning the feature exists in its original remotely mapped form and has not been ground truthed) to "Verified - Wetland Delineation" (meaning the boundaries and type of wetland have been verified during an official wetland delineation). Because of the rapid nature of the protocol and the scale of data collection, this product is not a subsitute for on-site investigations and field delineations. The dataset also includes broad classifications for each wetland type, e.g. estuarine, emergent wetland, forested wetland, shrub/scrub wetland, or water. Cowardin classifcations were not used given rapid verfication methods. The accuracy of the wetlands map has improved over time as a result of the verification process. Fields were added over time as necessitated by the workflow and values were updated with information, either from the field verifications, delineation reports, or desktop analysis. The Zoning Tax Lot Database is a comma-separated values (CSV) file that contains up-to-date zoning by parcel. The Database includes the zoning designations and zoning map associated with a specific tax block and lot. The Database is updated on a monthly basis to reflect rezoning and corrections to the file. All previously released versions of this data are available on the DCP Website: BYTES of the BIG APPLE.

These datasets give 2021 NYC residential parcel volume and stops information. The four datasets represent the estimated volume and stops served by Amazon, FedEx, UPS, and USPS respectively.
The dataset is generated by using the Pluto 2021, 2020 census, 2020 USPS postal diary, and the market share among the four companies in 2021. In total,1.92 million daily residential parcels are estimated in the whole NYC area. Each row represents a unique stop. It contains the census tract ID the stop belongs to, its coordinates, and the delivery (FTA) and pickup (FTP) volume. We assume that no pickup volume is assigned to Amazon and USPS due to their service characteristics. In the case of USPS, no direct pickup service will be provided. Instead, the parcel will be directly handed to post offices for pickup. The pickup volume proportional to Amazon's market share is evenly distributed to FedEx and UPS pickup services.
