The TIGER/Line shapefiles and related database files (.dbf) are an extract of selected geographic and cartographic information from the U.S. Census Bureau's Master Address File / Topologically Integrated Geographic Encoding and Referencing (MAF/TIGER) Database (MTDB). The MTDB represents a seamless national file with no overlaps or gaps between parts, however, each TIGER/Line shapefile is designed to stand alone as an independent data set, or they can be combined to cover the entire nation. Edge refers to the linear topological primitives that make up MTDB. The All Lines Shapefile contains linear features such as roads, railroads, and hydrography. Additional attribute data associated with the linear features found in the All Lines Shapefile are available in relationship (.dbf) files that users must download separately. The All Lines Shapefile contains the geometry and attributes of each topological primitive edge. Each edge has a unique TIGER/Line identifier (TLID) value.

    Description

Download .zipA soil mapping unit designates a specific type of soil which has unique characteristics including texture, slope, and erosion class.

These soils were digitized from the paper final soil survey sheets. The final soil survey was published in November of 1974. These sheets were taped together to form an area covering each of the townships in the county. The areas for each township were then digitized using run-length encoding technique sampling along horizontal lines which represented the midline of cells with a height of 250 feet. The measurement increment along these lines was one decafoot (10 feet). The township files were subsequently converted to Arc/Info format, adjusted and merged into a county file.

The user should bear in mind that this coverage is only an approximation of the soil survey and should not be used for site specific analysis.

Additional details of the digitizing process are available upon request.

Single-line drainage water features can be found in the Linear Hydrography Shapefile (LINEARWATER.shp). Linear water features includes single-line drainage water features and artificial path features, where they exist, that run through double-line drainage features such as rivers, streams, and/or canals, and serve as a linear representation of these features.

    Description

Download .zipThis coverage was extracted from the 1994 statewide land cover inventory of Ohio produced by Bruce R. Motsch and Gary M. Schaal of the Ohio Department of Natural Resources.

The land cover inventory for the State of Ohio was produced by the digital image processing of Landsat Thematic Mapper Data. The Thematic Mapper is a multi-spectral scanner that collects electromagnetic radiation reflected from the earth's surface in the visible, near infrared and mid-infrared wavelength bands. The resolution of the Thematic Mapper data is a 30 meter by 30 meter cell. The computer analysis of the data isolates unique spectral classes that relate to land cover characteristics.

The land cover inventory was produced from Thematic Mapper data acquired in September and October 1994. The data was classified into the general land cover categories of urban, agriculture/open urban areas, shrub/scrub, wooded, open water, non-forested wetlands and barren.

The land cover information reflects the conditions of the satellite data during the specific year and season the data was acquired. The Thematic Mapper data was processed using ERDAS image processing software. The data was originally created in raster format and georeferenced to Universal Transverse Mercator (UTM) zone 17 coordinates NAD27. The data can be combined with other georeferenced digital data layers.

The data is also available in its original ERDAS image format.

Original coverage data was converted from the .e00 file to a more standard ESRI shapefile(s) in November 2014.Contact Information:GIS Support, ODNR GIS ServicesOhio Department of Natural ResourcesReal Estate & Land ManagementReal Estate and Lands Management2045 Morse Rd, Bldg I-2Columbus, OH, 43229Telephone: 614-265-6462Email: gis.support@dnr.ohio.gov

    Description

Aerial distribution surveys are used by marine mammal biologists from FWC and other agencies to determine the seasonal distribution of manatees. Most surveys are conducted from small, four-seat, high-winged airplanes (Cessna 172 or 182) flying at a height of 500-1000 ft at a speed of 70-90 kts. Small helicopters may be used instead of fixed wing aircraft in urban areas or where waters are particularly opaque and hovering may be required. Flights are usually four hours long and are most commonly flown every two weeks for one year. The surveys are designed to maximize the manatee counts by concentrating on shallow nearshore waters around the state where manatees and their primary food source, sea grasses, are located. Flight paths curve parallel to the shoreline, and the airplane circles when manatees are spotted until a count of the number of animals in each group is obtained. Offshore waters are usually not surveyed. Dolphin and sea turtle sightings are recorded opportunistically. All aerial data are recorded on paper maps and entered into a GIS shapefile for spatial analysis. GIS is a computer software system for representing data spatially and for conducting spatial analyses. Surveys of St. Johns and Putnam Counties were flown twice a month from June 1994 to June 1995. FWC staff members were observers for these flights. The survey area includes all waters of St. Johns River in Duval, Clay, St. Johns and Putnam counties from the southwestern portion of Duval County south to the Cross-Florida Barge Canal, which is south of Palatka and Little Lake George. Doctors Lake, Julington, Durbin, Black, Trout, Six-Mile, Deep, and Rice creeks; the Cross-Florida Barge Canal; and creeks and waterways around the Seven Sisters Islands and Murphy Islands were included in the survey.

The Florida Department of Revenue’s Property Tax Oversight(PTO) program collects parcel level Geographic Information System (GIS) data files every April from all of Florida’s 67 county property appraisers’ offices. This GIS data was exported from these file submissions in August 2024. The GIS parcel polygon features have been joined with thereal property roll (Name – Address – Legal, or NAL)file. No line work was adjusted between county boundaries. The polygon data set represents the information property appraisers gathered from the legal description on deeds, lot layout of recorded plats, declaration of condominium documents, recorded and unrecorded surveys.Individual parcel data is updated continually by each county property appraiser as needed. The GIS linework and related attributions for the statewide parcel map are updated annually by the Department every August. The dataset extends countywide and is attribute by Federal Information Processing Standards (FIPS) code.DOR reference with FIPS county codes and attribution definitions - https://fgio.maps.arcgis.com/home/item.html?id=ff7b985e139c4c7ba844500053e8e185If you discover the inadvertent release of a confidential record exempt from disclosure pursuant to Chapter 119, Florida Statutes, public records laws, immediately notify the Department of Revenue at 850-717-6570 and your local Florida Property Appraisers’ Office. Please contact the county property appraiser with any parcel specific questions: Florida Property Appraisers’ Offices:Alachua County Property Appraiser – https://www.acpafl.org/Baker County Property Appraiser – https://www.bakerpa.com/Bay County Property Appraiser – https://baypa.net/Bradford County Property Appraiser – https://www.bradfordappraiser.com/Brevard County Property Appraiser – https://www.bcpao.us/Broward County Property Appraiser – https://bcpa.net/Calhoun County Property Appraiser – https://calhounpa.net/Charlotte County Property Appraiser – https://www.ccappraiser.com/Citrus County Property Appraiser – https://www.citruspa.org/Clay County Property Appraiser – https://ccpao.com/Collier County Property Appraiser – https://www.collierappraiser.com/Columbia County Property Appraiser – https://columbia.floridapa.com/DeSoto County Property Appraiser – https://www.desotopa.com/Dixie County Property Appraiser – https://www.qpublic.net/fl/dixie/Duval County Property Appraiser – https://www.coj.net/departments/property-appraiser.aspxEscambia County Property Appraiser – https://www.escpa.org/Flagler County Property Appraiser – https://flaglerpa.com/Franklin County Property Appraiser – https://franklincountypa.net/Gadsden County Property Appraiser – https://gadsdenpa.com/Gilchrist County Property Appraiser – https://www.qpublic.net/fl/gilchrist/Glades County Property Appraiser – https://qpublic.net/fl/glades/Gulf County Property Appraiser – https://gulfpa.com/Hamilton County Property Appraiser – https://hamiltonpa.com/Hardee County Property Appraiser – https://hardeepa.com/Hendry County Property Appraiser – https://hendryprop.com/Hernando County Property Appraiser – https://www.hernandopa-fl.us/PAWEBSITE/Default.aspxHighlands County Property Appraiser – https://www.hcpao.org/Hillsborough County Property Appraiser – https://www.hcpafl.org/Holmes County Property Appraiser – https://www.qpublic.net/fl/holmes/Indian River County Property Appraiser – https://www.ircpa.org/Jackson County Property Appraiser – https://www.qpublic.net/fl/jackson/Jefferson County Property Appraiser – https://jeffersonpa.net/Lafayette County Property Appraiser – https://www.lafayettepa.com/Lake County Property Appraiser – https://www.lakecopropappr.com/Lee County Property Appraiser – https://www.leepa.org/Leon County Property Appraiser – https://www.leonpa.gov/Levy County Property Appraiser – https://www.qpublic.net/fl/levy/Liberty County Property Appraiser – https://libertypa.org/Madison County Property Appraiser – https://madisonpa.com/Manatee County Property Appraiser – https://www.manateepao.gov/Marion County Property Appraiser – https://www.pa.marion.fl.us/Martin County Property Appraiser – https://www.pa.martin.fl.us/Miami-Dade County Property Appraiser – https://www.miamidade.gov/pa/Monroe County Property Appraiser – https://mcpafl.org/Nassau County Property Appraiser – https://www.nassauflpa.com/Okaloosa County Property Appraiser – https://okaloosapa.com/Okeechobee County Property Appraiser – https://www.okeechobeepa.com/Orange County Property Appraiser – https://ocpaweb.ocpafl.org/Osceola County Property Appraiser – https://www.property-appraiser.org/Palm Beach County Property Appraiser – https://www.pbcgov.org/papa/index.htmPasco County Property Appraiser – https://pascopa.com/Pinellas County Property Appraiser – https://www.pcpao.org/Polk County Property Appraiser – https://www.polkpa.org/Putnam County Property Appraiser – https://pa.putnam-fl.com/Santa Rosa County Property Appraiser – https://srcpa.gov/Sarasota County Property Appraiser – https://www.sc-pa.com/Seminole County Property Appraiser – https://www.scpafl.org/St. Johns County Property Appraiser – https://www.sjcpa.gov/St. Lucie County Property Appraiser – https://www.paslc.gov/Sumter County Property Appraiser – https://www.sumterpa.com/Suwannee County Property Appraiser – https://suwannee.floridapa.com/Taylor County Property Appraiser – https://qpublic.net/fl/taylor/Union County Property Appraiser – https://union.floridapa.com/Volusia County Property Appraiser – https://vcpa.vcgov.org/Wakulla County Property Appraiser – https://mywakullapa.com/Walton County Property Appraiser – https://waltonpa.com/Washington County Property Appraiser – https://www.qpublic.net/fl/washington/Florida Department of Revenue Property Tax Oversight https://floridarevenue.com/property/Pages/Home.aspx

    Description

The United States Public Land Survey (PLS) divided land into one square mile units, termed sections. Surveyors used trees to locate section corners and other locations of interest (witness trees). As a result, a systematic ecological dataset was produced with regular sampling over a large region of the United States, beginning in Ohio in 1786 and continuing westward.
We digitized and georeferenced archival hand drawn maps of these witness trees for 27 counties in Ohio. This dataset consists of a GIS point shapefile with 11,925 points located at section corners, recording 26,028 trees (up to four trees could be recorded at each corner). We retain species names given on each archival map key, resulting in 70 unique species common names. PLS records were obtained from hand-drawn archival maps of original witness trees produced by researchers at The Ohio State University in the 1960’s. Scans of these maps are archived as “The Edgar Nelson Transeau Ohio Vegetation Survey” at The Ohio State University: http://hdl.handle.net/1811/64106.
The 27 counties are: Adams, Allen, Auglaize, Belmont, Brown, Darke, Defiance, Gallia, Guernsey, Hancock, Lawrence, Lucas, Mercer, Miami, Monroe, Montgomery, Morgan, Noble, Ottawa, Paulding, Pike, Putnam, Scioto, Seneca, Shelby, Williams, Wyandot. Coordinate Reference System: North American Datum 1983 (NAD83). Description

This dataset is a collection of GeoTIFF and MrSID format natural color orthophotos covering Clay-Putnam County, Florida. An orthophoto is remotely sensed image data in which displacement of features in the image caused by terrain relief and sensor orientation have been mathematically removed. Orthophotography combines the image characteristics of a photograph with the geometric qualities of a map. Imagery was acquired for Clay-Putnam County at 0.9 foot ground sample distance (GSD) resolution. Flight height maintained during mission was 9,000 feet AGL. The imagery was captured at 12-bit radiometric resolution and converted to 8-bit radiometric resolution during post processing. The imagery was captured with 60% forwardlap and 30% sidelap between all adjacent flight lines. The imagery was obtained and processed by all digital means beginning with data acquisition using a Z/I Imaging Digital Mapping Camera (DMC), serial number DMC01-0044. The orthophotos are available in GeoTIFF and MrSID form. The projected coordinate system is State Plane Florida East (FIPS Zone 901), NAD 83 HPGN, GRS 80, Units Feet.

    Description

This data represents the Westchester County Trailways System, consisting of over 250 miles of existing and proposed off-road bike and walking trails, as well as on-road bicycle routes as of November 2014. These facilities are typically located within abandoned railroad rights of way, utility and parkway rights of way and along transportation corridors. These trail facilities fall under the jurisdiction of either Westchester County, New York State and municipal entities. The trail system reflects the 2001 Tri-county trail master plan and includes more recent trail alignments such as RiverWalk and the Colonial Greenway, Kitchawan-Teatown Trail, White Plains Greenway and East Coast Greenway Road Route. Also featured are trails such as: the North and South County Trailways along the former Putnam Railroad Right-Of-Way; the Briarcliff-Peekskill Trailway; the Bronx River Pathway; the Old Croton Aqueduct Trailway; and East-West links such as the Tarrytown-Kensico Trailway. Extensions of the North and South County Trailways into Putnam County and The Bronx are also mapped. Road corridors proposed as bicycle "share the road" routes are also shown. Not included are non-linear, self-contained, trail systems within county and other parks and open spaces.

    Description

Download .zipMaps and data associated with oil-and-gas wells represent one of the largest datasets at the Ohio Department of Natural Resources. This GIS data layer contains all the locatable oil-and-gas wells in Ohio. The feature is derived from coordinates obtained from the Division of Oil and Gas Resources Management (DOGRM) oil and gas well database – Risk Based Data Management System (RBDMS). The RBDMS database has a long history and is a comprehensive collection of well data from historic pre-1980 paper well records (digitized by the Division of Geological Survey (DGS)) to post-1980 DOGRM database solutions.Since 1860, it is estimated that more than 267,000 oil-and-gas wells have been drilled in Ohio. The compressed file also includes a feature used to connect the surface location to the bottom location of a well that has been drilled directionally or horizontally. This feature is NOT the actual wellbore path, it is simply a graphical representation indicating the relationship between the two well points.Contact Information:GIS Support, ODNR GIS ServicesOhio Department of Natural ResourcesDivision of Oil & Gas ResourcesOil and Gas Resources Management2045 Morse Road Bldg F-2Columbus, OH, 43229-6693Telephone: 614-265-6462Email: gis.support@dnr.ohio.gov
