    Context

    The dataset tabulates the population of Houston County by race. It includes the population of Houston County across racial categories (excluding ethnicity) as identified by the Census Bureau. The dataset can be utilized to understand the population distribution of Houston County across relevant racial categories.

It is ensured that the population estimates used in this dataset pertain exclusively to the identified racial categories, and are part of Non-Hispanic classification.     Context

    The dataset tabulates the Non-Hispanic population of South Houston by race. It includes the distribution of the Non-Hispanic population of South Houston across various race categories as identified by the Census Bureau. The dataset can be utilized to understand the Non-Hispanic population distribution of South Houston across relevant racial categories.

About this dataset

Context

The dataset tabulates the population of Houston County by race. It includes the population of Houston County across racial categories (excluding ethnicity) as identified by the Census Bureau. The dataset can be utilized to understand the population distribution of Houston County across relevant racial categories.

Key observations

The percent distribution of Houston County population by race (across all racial categories recognized by the U.S. Census Bureau): 67.64% are white, 24.95% are Black or African American, 0.27% are American Indian and Alaska Native, 0.32% are Asian, 2.03% are some other race and 4.79% are multiracial.
