    Description

In 2025, India overtook China as the world's most populous country and now has almost 1.46 billion people. China now has the second-largest population in the world, still with just over 1.4 billion inhabitants, however, its population went into decline in 2023. Global population As of 2025, the world's population stands at almost 8.2 billion people and is expected to reach around 10.3 billion people in the 2080s, when it will then go into decline. Due to improved healthcare, sanitation, and general living conditions, the global population continues to increase; mortality rates (particularly among infants and children) are decreasing and the median age of the world population has steadily increased for decades. As for the average life expectancy in industrial and developing countries, the gap has narrowed significantly since the mid-20th century. Asia is the most populous continent on Earth; 11 of the 20 largest countries are located there. It leads the ranking of the global population by continent by far, reporting four times as many inhabitants as Africa. The Demographic Transition The population explosion over the past two centuries is part of a phenomenon known as the demographic transition. Simply put, this transition results from a drastic reduction in mortality, which then leads to a reduction in fertility, and increase in life expectancy; this interim period where death rates are low and birth rates are high is where this population explosion occurs, and population growth can remain high as the population ages. In today's most-developed countries, the transition generally began with industrialization in the 1800s, and growth has now stabilized as birth and mortality rates have re-balanced. Across less-developed countries, the stage of this transition varies; for example, China is at a later stage than India, which accounts for the change in which country is more populous - understanding the demographic transition can help understand the reason why China's population is now going into decline. The least-developed region is Sub-Saharan Africa, where fertility rates remain close to pre-industrial levels in some countries. As these countries transition, they will undergo significant rates of population growth.

    Description

In 2018, the estimated average inflation rate in Pakistan amounted to about 3.93 percent compared to the previous year, a slight drop from 2017, but an ever sharper one compared to four years earlier. Over the next few years, forecasts estimate it to level off at around 6.5 percent.

Pakistan‘s more or less fragile economy

Pakistan is one of the most populous countries in the worldwith a large Muslim population and a rather low urbanization rate, which means that the majority of Pakistanis live in rural areas. However, the majority of the country's GDP is generated by the services sector, which also employs most of the workforce. As of now, Pakistan’s economic growth seems stable, but that wasn’t always the case.

    Stable growth ahead?

Like many others, Pakistan’s economy suffered during the 2009 financial crisis, and while it has recovered today, inflation was still over 10 percent in 2012. GDP slumped during that time as well, but now, ten years later, it has almost tripled and seems to be on an upward trend. Although its GDP generation now mainly relies on services, Pakistan still exports agricultural goods like cotton. However, the country still struggles with an increasing trade deficit and thus rising national debt – two factors that could hinder economic growth in the future.

    Description

The global Concrete Admixtures market was valued at USD 19.62 billion in 2022 and is projected to reach USD 39.38 billion by 2030, registering a CAGR of 9.1 % for the forecast period 2023-2030. Factors Affecting Concrete Admixtures Market Growth

    Growth of the construction industry:

The rapid growth of the construction industry due to urbanization, industrialization, growing population, and net income, fuelled the growth of the concrete admixtures market. The rise in construction projects like infrastructure development, industrial units, and residential project, rises the demand for concrete admixtures like Normal Plasticizers, Super Plasticizers, Retarding, Accelerating, Water-proofing, and Air-Entraining. Infrastructure development like bridges, airports, roads, and railways, stimulates the growth of the construction industry and expands the concrete admixtures market. Concrete admixtures play a vital role in ensuring the durability, and quality of construction materials. Increasing R&D activities witnessing the growth of the market due to the rise in the use of advanced composition materials, adoption of high-performance concrete, and green building practices. Urbanization and population growth led to increasing residential housing and infrastructure projects. As well as the renovation of existing projects also increases, expanding the concrete admixtures market. Moreover, focus on sustainable construction structure, propel the market’s growth.

The usage of water-reducing admixtures helped to overcome water scarcity:

Increasing the use of water-reducing admixtures drive the growth of the concrete admixture market. According to Unicef, almost two-thirds of the world’s population experience severe water scarcity for at least one month each year and 700 million people could be displayed by intense water scarcity by 2030. Water-reducing admixtures reduce the usage of water by 5-12% but maintain the consistency measured by a slump. Because adding a water-reducing admixture lowers the water-cement ratio of concrete, it can increase the concrete's strength. Approximately, 25 litres of water is required per 50 kg of cement in concrete admixture. Countries like Lebanon, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Syria, Turkey, and Niger are expected to increase the demand for water-reducing admixture due to the high water scarcity rate. Increasing water scarcity during the forecast period is expected to drive the market’s growth.

The Restraining Factor of Concrete Admixtures:

    Unavailability of skilled labor:

The lack of skilled labor may hamper the growth of the concrete admixture market. Skill shortages make it difficult for contractors to deliver the quality of products that more discerning customers require. This is a major problem in many developed countries and a growing problem in developing countries, particularly those with a significant group of middle- and upper-class clients. Skilled labor is essential for the construction industry to meet project requirements for quality, cost, and schedule. Unskilled labor can be a barrier for the construction industry, reducing the demand for concrete admixture. The market growth can be improved by training and education for the workers.

Impact of the COVID-19 Pandemic on the Concrete Admixtures Market:

The COVID-19 pandemic had a significant impact on the concrete admixture sector. Outbreaks of the coronavirus (COVID-19) have significantly disrupted the economy and impacted businesses, homes, financial institutions, industrial organizations, and infrastructure firms leading to a decline in concrete admixtures. The pandemic led to temporary shutdowns and disruptions in construction projects resulting in lower demand for concrete admixture. The concrete admixtures market relies on the complex supply chain for raw materials and finished products. The pandemic disrupts the supply chain, logistics, and transportation of raw materials and delayed deliveries. Additionally, Economic uncertainty reduced investment in construction, resulting in a decline in demand for concrete admixtures. As the world begins to recover from the pandemic, the construction industry is gradually returning to normalcy. Residential and commercial projects have resumed, and consumer demand is hiking up. Therefore, the demand for Concrete admixture is expected to recover and potentially grow as the construction industry rebounds...

Key Drivers of Guar Meal Market

Growth in Livestock Production to Increase the Demand Globally

The growth in livestock production is poised to drive increased demand for feed ingredients globally, including guar meal. As the global population continues to rise, so does the demand for animal protein, leading to expansion in the livestock industry. This growth is particularly pronounced in emerging economies where rising incomes and urbanization drive dietary shifts towards meat and dairy products. Consequently, there is a heightened need for high-quality feed ingredients to support the health and productivity of livestock. Guar meal, with its rich protein content and nutritional benefits, serves as a valuable feed supplement for various livestock species, including poultry, cattle, and aquaculture. Its affordability and effectiveness in promoting animal growth and health make it an attractive choice for feed manufacturers and livestock producers worldwide. As the livestock sector expands to meet growing protein demands, the demand for guar meal is expected to increase correspondingly, driving market growth globally.

Nutritional Value and Benefits to Propel Market Growth

The nutritional value and benefits of guar meal are poised to propel market growth as the demand for high-quality animal feed ingredients continues to rise. Guar meal stands out for its rich protein content, favorable amino acid profile, and digestibility, making it an essential component in livestock and poultry diets. As livestock producers prioritize animal health, growth, and performance, they increasingly turn to guar meal to meet their nutritional requirements. Additionally, guar meal's high fiber content contributes to improved gut health and digestion in animals. Furthermore, its natural and non-toxic properties align with consumer preferences for sustainable and safe feed ingredients. Guar meal, as a byproduct of guar gum extraction, is inherently tied to the cultivation and processing of guar crops. Factors such as weather conditions, pest infestations, and disease outbreaks can significantly impact guar crop yields, leading to fluctuations in guar meal production and availability. Moreover, guar cultivation is concentrated in specific regions, primarily in countries like India, Pakistan, and the United States, which may further exacerbate supply chain vulnerabilities. Any disruptions in guar crop production could lead to supply shortages, driving up prices and potentially limiting the accessibility of guar meal for feed manufacturers and livestock producers. To mitigate this dependency, diversification of feed ingredient sources and...
