    Shell’s number of shares amounted to roughly 6.1 billion in 2024. This was a decrease compared to the previous year and also the lowest figure in the period of consideration. That same year, the earnings per share stood at 3.76 U.S. dollars, a decline from 4.2 U.S. dollars a year before.
