    Tax Maps and other affiliated layers. The comprehensive point theme incorporates parcel ownership and address information, parcel valuation information and basic information about the land and structure(s) associated with a given tax assessment account. Data for the Parcel point theme are obtained from the State Department of Assessments and Taxation with added data from Maryland Department of Planning. The date the point was most recently published in Planning's data products MdProperty View and FINDER Quantum is contained in the mdpvdate field. The date of the most recent Assessments data linkage to MdProperty View/FINDER Quantum points is contained in the sdatdate field. Accounts deleted between those two dates are no longer represented as points.     This layer contains parcels data for Oswego County, NY as taken from the current digitized version of the county tax maps. Originally drawn by Stewart Mapping Services, Inc of San Antonio Texas in 1975, but with digital topology corrected by Oswego County's Department of Real Property Tax Services from 1996-present. Contains taxable parcels attributed with assessment data taken from local assessment rolls.Geography is based upon the taxable status date of March 1st, 2025. Assessment attributes are from the latest final assessment roll (2024) except ownership which is updated bi-monthly on Fridays to reflect the most current owners of record. Click here to retrieve a data dictionary for decoding fields.Note: The original tax maps that these files were digitized from only had an accuracy between 10-20 feet on ground. While every effort is made to maintain this geographic data in an accurate format, the lines drawn from this data are fundamentally informational in nature and are not equivalent to survey grade. Geoprocessing has been applied to this specific web layer to allow faster drawing of lines which can further degrade the accuracy of their geometry. Finally, these parcels are used to create county tax maps which have the sole use case of giving assistance for local municipal assessors in the fulfillment of their duties, there is no warranty (expressed or implied) for any other use.

    This feature layer provides digital tax parcels for the Organized Towns of the State of Maine. Within Maine, real property data is maintained by the government organization responsible for assessing and collecting property tax for a given location. Organized towns and townships maintain authoritative data for their communities and may voluntarily submit these data to the Maine GeoLibrary Parcel Project. "Maine Parcels Organized Towns Feature" and "Maine Parcels Organized Towns ADB" are the product of these voluntary submissions. Communities provide updates to the Maine GeoLibrary on a non-regular basis, which affects the currency of Maine GeoLibrary parcels data. Another resource for real property transaction data is the County Registry of Deeds, although organized town data should very closely match registry information, except in the case of in-process property conveyance transactions. In Unorganized Territories (defined as those regions of the state without a local government that assesses real property and collects property tax), the Maine Revenue Service is the authoritative source for parcel data. "Maine Parcels Unorganized Territory Feature" is the authoritative GIS data layer for the Unorganized Territories. However, it must always be used with auxiliary data obtained from the online resources of Maine Revenue Services (https://www.maine.gov/revenue/taxes/property-tax) to compile up-to-date parcel ownership information. Property maps are a fundamental base for many municipal activities. Although GIS parcel data cannot replace detailed ground surveys, the data can assist municipal officials with functions such as accurate property tax assessment, planning and zoning. Towns can link maps to an assessor's database and display local information, while town officials can show taxpayers how proposed development or changes in municipal services and regulations may affect the community. In many towns, parcel data also helps to provide public notices, plan bus routes, and carry out other municipal services.

    This dataset contains municipality-submitted parcel data along with previously developed parcel data acquired through the Municipal Grants Project supported by the Maine Library of Geographic Information (Maine GeoLibrary). Grant recipient parcel data submissions were guided by standards presented to the Maine GeoLibrary Board on May 21, 2005, which are outlined in the "Standards for Digital Parcel Files" document available on the Maine GeoLibrary publications page (https://www.maine.gov/geolib/policies/standards.html). This dataset also contains municipal parcel data acquired through other sources; the data sources are identified (where available) by the field “FMSCORG”. Note: Join this feature layer with the "Maine Parcels Organized Towns ADB" table (https://maine.hub.arcgis.com/maps/maine::maine-parcels-organized-towns-feature/about?layer=1) for available ownership information. A date field, “FMUPDAT”, is attributed with the most recent update date for each individual parcel if available. The "FMUPDAT" field will not match the "Updated" value shown for the layer. "FMUPDAT" corresponds with the date of update for the individual data, while "Updated" corresponds with the date of update for the ArcGIS Online layer as a whole. Many parcels have not been updated in several years; use the "FMUPDAT" field to verify currency.

    Title: Cotality Smart Data Platform (SDP): Historical Property

    Historical tax assessment data for all U.S. states, the U.S. Virgin Islands, Guam, and Washington, D.C. Each table represents a previous edition of Cotality's tax assessment data.

    Formerly known as CoreLogic Smart Data Platform: Historical Property.

    Methodology

    In the United States, parcel data is public record information that describes a division of land (also referred to as "property" or "real estate"). Each parcel is given a unique identifier called an Assessor’s Parcel Number or APN. The two principal types of records maintained by county government agencies for each parcel of land are deed and property tax records. When a real estate transaction takes place (e.g. a change in ownership), a property deed must be signed by both the buyer and seller. The deed will then be filed with the County Recorder’s offices, sometimes called the County Clerk-Recorder or other similar title. Property tax records are maintained by County Tax Assessor’s offices; they show the amount of taxes assessed on a parcel and include a detailed description of any structures or buildings on the parcel, including year built, square footages, building type, amenities like a pool, etc. There is not a uniform format for storing parcel data across the thousands of counties and county equivalents in the U.S.; laws and regulations governing real estate/property sales vary by state. Counties and county equivalents also have inconsistent approaches to archiving historical parcel data.

    To fill researchers’ needs for uniform parcel data, Cotality collects, cleans, and normalizes public records that they collect from U.S. County Assessor and Recorder offices. Cotality augments this data with information gathered from other public and non-public sources (e.g., loan issuers, real estate agents, landlords, etc.). The Stanford Libraries has purchased bulk extracts from Cotality's parcel data, including mortgage, owner transfer, pre-foreclosure, and historical and contemporary tax assessment data. Data is bundled into pipe-delimited text files, which are uploaded to Data Farm (Redivis) for preview, extraction and analysis.

Each community in the Commonwealth was bid on by one or more vendors and the unit of work awarded was a city or town.     Publication Date: April 2025. This polygon layer is updated annually.

    This layer contains 2024 parcel data only for NY State counties which gave NYS ITs Geospatatial Services permission to share this data with the public. Work to obtain parcel data from additional counties, as well as permission to share the data, is ongoing. To date, 36 counties have provided the Geospatial Services permission to share their parcel data with the public. Parcel data for counties which do not allow the Geospatial Services to redistribute their data must be obtained directly from those counties. Geospatial Services' goal is to eventually include parcel data for all counties in New York State.

    Parcel geometry was incorporated as received from County Real Property Departments. No attempt was made to edge-match parcels along adjacent counties. County attribute values were populated using 2024 Assessment Roll tabular data Geospatial Services obtained from the NYS Department of Tax and Finance’s Office of Real Property Tax Services (ORPTS). Tabular assessment data was joined to the county provided parcel geometry using the SWIS & SBL or SWIS & PRINT KEY unique identifier for each parcel.

    Description

    Tax Lot points. DC's Real Property Tax Administration defines assessment and taxation lots, often referred to as A&T lots or simply tax lots. These lots are strictly for real estate taxation purposes and normally defined under two circumstances: When property owners ask for their real property tax bills to be consolidated, after they have bought several contiguous record lots; this is called a combine;When part of a record lot is sold, but no new record lot is yet defined; this is called a split request. Tax lots are not determined by survey, and are therefore not official lots in the same way record lots are. These lots are normally numbered between 800 and 1999within a square to differentiate them from record lots on the property tax maps. When a tax lot is established by RPTA, an A&T Plat is generated by RPTA and forwarded to the surveyor’s office. These A&T Plats are not reviewed but simply filed by the Surveyor; they do not comply with the standards required of subdivision plats, and are not recorded. Tax Lots are not normally acceptable when applying for building permits and must be converted to Record Lots through the normal subdivision process involving the D.C. Surveyor’s Office before permits will be issued. The only exception is if the lot does not face a public street. Furthermore, at the time of their creation and platting, there is no review made of tax lots for compliance with D.C. Zoning, Subdivisions or any other ordinances. These lots are simply pieces of property, owned by somebody, described in deeds, for which tax bills are sent and real estate taxes are collected by the city. Some Record Lots also function in this capacity. Geographically, tax lots typically overlay layers such as record lots or sometimes reservations. There are known instances where tax lots do not overlay these types of layers. Up until approximately 1972, A&T lots were only created by the Tax Assessor out of lands that had been previously Record Lots at some point in their history. For a short period of time in the early to mid 1970’s, a decision was made to start eliminating fractional parcels (see definition below) and make them all into A&T lots. The intent was to do away with Parcels altogether and have all properties in the city be either tax lots or record lots. By doing this, they converted unsubdivided parcels into A&T lots where no underlying record lot exists. There is often little or no historical source information about these types of transactions therefore vectorizing them often required vast amounts of research.

The DC Office of the Chief Financial Officer (OCFO), Office of Tax and Revenue (OTR), Real Property Tax Administration (RPTA) values all real property in the District of Columbia. This public interactive Real Property Assessment map application accompanies the OCFO MyTax DC and OTR websites. Use this mapping application to search for and view all real property, assessment valuation data, assessment neighborhood areas and sub-areas, detailed assessment information, and many real property valuation reports by various political and administrative areas. View by other administrative areas such as DC Wards, ANCs, DC Squares, and by specific real property characteristics such as property type and/or sale date.
