The Map Books consist of approximately 5,900 maps recorded with the county dating from circa 1850 to 1957. Recorded documents include subdivisions, surveys of property, cemetery plans, and other maps. Information on each map includes date recorded, person recorded for, and title of survey. Additional information may include notarized statement by property owner, statement by licensed surveyor, notice of approval by board of supervisors, and additional approvals by county or city officials. These maps are bound into 108 volumes. The archives have volumes A through Z, and volumes 1 through 82. Volumes not included are 44, 46, 48, 50, 51, 53, 55, 57, 59, 66, 68, 71, 73, 76, and 81.

The McMillan Surveyor Records consist of land surveys created by County Surveyor John G. McMillan and his son Percy W. McMillan for their business McMillan & McMillan, Civil Engineers and Surveyors. John G. McMillan served as County Surveyor from 1890-1914. The Records also include notes, maps, and letters.

The data was collected between November 15, 2022 and December 20, 2022 at an altitude of 5000 feet (AGL) using an UltraCam Eagle M3 camera and complies with the ASPRS Class 1 accuracy standards, at 1" = 50'.This metadata record describes the 0.5-foot pixel resolution digital orthoimagery produced for Santa Clara County by the Sanborn Map Company. The orthoimagery provided is 4-band (R, G, B, NIR), 8-bit per pixel and delivered in section tiles in uncompressed TIFF/TFW, compressed SID/SDW (10:1) and compressed JP2000 (10:1) formats. The data was collected between December 18, 2022 and February 20, 2023 at an altitude of 13800 feet (AGL) using an UltraCam Eagle M3 camera and complies with the ASPRS Class 1 accuracy standards, at 1" = 100'. This orthoimagery was collected in California State Plane Zone III North, NAD 83 (2011), U.S. Survey Feet. For publishing purpose, this service is reprojected into WGS 1984 Web Mercator Auxiliary Sphere.

This digital map database, compiled from previously published and unpublished data, and new mapping by the authors, represents the general distribution of bedrock and surficial deposits in the mapped area. Together with the accompanying text file (scvmf.ps, scvmf.pdf, scvmf.txt), it provides current information on the geologic structure and stratigraphy of the area covered. The database delineates map units that are identified by general age and lithology following the stratigraphic nomenclature of the U.S. Geological Survey. The scale of the source maps limits the spatial resolution (scale) of the database to 1:24,000 or smaller.

All locations of bridges maintained by the County of Santa Clara, Bridge Division of the Roads and Aiport Department are included in this data set. Each bridge location is represented by the bridge symbol and labelled with the National Bridge Database Index number. This layer is visiable at all map scales, and the bridge number label is visiable beginning at the city level.

This record is maintained in the National Geologic Map Database (NGMDB). The NGMDB is a Congressionally mandated national archive of geoscience maps, reports, and stratigraphic information, developed according to standards defined by the cooperators, i.e., the USGS and the Association of American State Geologists (AASG). A table keyed to 171 topographic quadrangles on a new 1:275,000-scale shaded-relief map speeds access to information on landslide locations in the ten-county San Francisco Bay region. Detailed maps showing individual landslides in nearly any area of interest can be found quickly by knowing only the name of the appropriate 7.5' quadrangle. The some-80 technical reports that contain these maps may be consulted in the U.S. Geological Survey's Menlo Park library collection.

These data are the Official soil survey data for Santa Clara County compiled from the USDA, NRCS Web Soil Survey, Soil Survey Geographic (SSURGO) Database. Santa Clara County is divided into two soil surveys; a western part (CA 641, last updated: Survey Area: Version 8, Sept 16, 2019; Tabular: Version 8, Sept 16, 2019; Spatial: Version 3, Sept 16, 2019) and an eastern part (CA 646, last updated Survey Area: Version 15, Sept 16, 2019; Tabular: Version 14, Sept 16, 2019; Spatial: Version 9, Sept 16, 2019). This dataset combines those two surveys into one, easier to use dataset that covers the entire county.
