Data are updated hourly from the National Digital Forecast Database produced by the National Weather Service.The dataset includes incremental and cumulative precipitation data in 6-hour intervals.     IMPORTANT: This is the source of the feature layer template in the LearnArcGIS Lesson: Prepare for SAR Incidents and for the MapSAR Solution. If this layer is cloned or copied, the owner of the items needs to update the item details to reflect this. Purpose: This is a feature layer template for use in missing person search operations. It is based on the MapSAR (ArcGIS Desktop) Data Model but simplified for use in web maps and apps. Please see MapSAR GitHub for more information on this project.Maps are at the core of any Search and Rescue (SAR) operation. Geographic information system (GIS) software allows rescue personnel to quickly generate maps that depict specific aspects of the operation and show what is happening on the ground over time. The maps and operations data can be shared over a network to supply an enhanced common operating picture throughout the Incident Command Post (ICP). A team of GIS and SAR professionals from Sierra Madre Search and Rescue Team, Esri, Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Park, Yosemite National Park, Grand Canyon National Park, and the Mountaineer Rescue Group came together to develop the tools and instructions to fit established SAR workflows. The goal is to meet the critical need to provide standards, documents, and training to the international SAR community and establish more widespread and effective integration of GIS into operations.See Comments below for updates to the data model.

    The data is updated nightly using ArcGIS scripting. Scripting will not update the ArcGIS Online "item updated" date, which only reflects the last time the ArcGIS Online item page was last updated.     DATA LIMITATIONS:

    This data set is not designed for use as a regulatory tool in permitting or citing decisions; it may be used as a reference source.     A new facility point is added when a new facility is added to the origination database.

    Data is replicated on a nightly basis for public consumption. KDHE is not responsible for database integrity following download.

    This dataset contains One point represents one facility. A facility may have more than one physical tank or may have no tanks depending on "Tank Facility Status". Review tank count field.> For the details of the Tanks at that facility, see the "Storage Tank Details" Feature Layer. This will provide more information about the tank, such as materials stored and capacity. For Storage Tanks that are under remediation, see the "Leaking Underground Storage Tank" Feature Layer.

    The facility point is not the exact location of the tank, but a general representative somewhere in the property of the Storage Tank Facility.

    KDHE makes no assurances of the accuracy or validity of information presented in the Spatial Data. KDHE Tanks have been located using a variety of locational methods. More recent points are geocoded and validated with accuracy of 3-10 meters. Many inactive/old facilities only had a Legal description to calculate point placement on a map, with an accuracy of 250 – 2000 meters.For users who wish to interact with the data in a finished product, KDHE recommends using our Kansas Environmental Interest Finder . To accommodate filtering events by Date/Time, we suggest using the included "Age" fields that maintain the number of days or hours since a record was created or last modified, compared to the last service update. These queries fully support the ability to cache a response, allowing common query results to be efficiently provided to users in a high demand service environment.When ingesting this service in your applications, avoid using POST requests whenever possible.     This layer presents the best-known point and perimeter locations of wildfire occurrences within the United States over the past 7 days. Points mark a location within the wildfire area and provide current information about that wildfire. Perimeters are the line surrounding land that has been impacted by a wildfire. Source:  Wildfire points are sourced from Integrated Reporting of Wildland-Fire Information (IRWIN) and perimeters from National Interagency Fire Center (NIFC).  Current Incidents: This layer provides a near real-time view of the data being shared through the Integrated Reporting of Wildland-Fire Information (IRWIN) service. IRWIN provides data exchange capabilities between participating wildfire systems, including federal, state and local agencies. Data is synchronized across participating organizations to make sure the most current information is available. The display of the points are based on the NWCG Fire Size Classification applied to the daily acres attribute. Current Perimeters: This layer displays fire perimeters posted to the National Incident Feature Service. It is updated from operational data and may not reflect current conditions on the ground. For a better understanding of the workflows involved in mapping and sharing fire perimeter data, see the National Wildfire Coordinating Group Standards for Geospatial Operations. Update Frequency:  Every 15 minutes using the Aggregated Live Feed Methodology based on the following filters:Events modified in the last 7 daysEvents that are not given a Fire Out DateIncident Type Kind: FiresIncident Type Category: Prescribed Fire, Wildfire, and Incident Complex Area Covered: United StatesWhat can I do with this layer? The data includes basic wildfire information, such as location, size, environmental conditions, and resource summaries. Features can be filtered by incident name, size, or date keeping in mind that not all perimeters are fully attributed. Attribute InformationThis is a list of attributes that benefit from additional explanation. Not all attributes are listed. Incident Type Category: This is a breakdown of events into more specific categories.Wildfire (WF) -A wildland fire originating from an unplanned ignition, such as lightning, volcanos, unauthorized and accidental human caused fires, and prescribed fires that are declared wildfires. Prescribed Fire (RX) - A wildland fire originating from a planned ignition in accordance with applicable laws, policies, and regulations to meet specific objectives. Incident Complex (CX) - An incident complex is two or more individual incidents in the same general proximity that are managed together under one Incident Management Team. This allows resources to be used across the complex rather than on individual incidents uniting operational activities. IrwinID: Unique identifier assigned to each incident record in both point and perimeter layers. Acres: these typically refer to the number of acres within the current perimeter of a specific, individual incident, including unburned and unburnable islands.Discovery: An estimate of acres burning upon the discovery of the fire.Calculated or GIS:  A measure of acres calculated (i.e., infrared) from a geospatial perimeter of a fire.Daily: A measure of acres reported for a fire.Final: The measure of acres within the final perimeter of a fire. More specifically, the number of acres within the final fire perimeter of a specific, individual incident, including unburned and unburnable islands. Dates: the various systems contribute date information differently so not all fields will be populated for every fire.FireDiscovery: The date and time a fire was reported as discovered or confirmed to exist. May also be the start date for reporting purposes. Containment: The date and time a wildfire was declared contained. Incident Management Organization: The incident management organization for the incident, which may be a Type 1, 2, or 3 Incident Management Team (IMT), a Unified Command, a Unified Command with an IMT, National Incident Management Organization (NIMO), etc. This field is null if no team is assigned. Unique Fire Identifier: Unique identifier assigned to each wildland fire. yyyy = calendar year, SSUUUU = Point Of Origin (POO) protecting unit identifier (5 or 6 characters), xxxxxx = local incident identifier (6 to 10 characters) RevisionsJan 4, 2021: Added Integer fields 'Days Since...' to Current_Incidents point layer and Current_Perimeters polygon layer. These fields are computed when the data is updated, reflecting the current number of days since each record was last updated. This will aid in making 'age' related, cache friendly queries.Mar 12, 2021: Added second set of 'Age' fields for Event and Perimeter record creation, reflecting age in Days since service data update.Apr 21, 2021: Current_Perimeters polygon layer is now being populated by NIFC's newest data source.     This layer presents the best-known point and perimeter locations of wildfire occurrences within the United States over the past 7 days. Points mark a location within the wildfire area and provide current information about that wildfire. Perimeters are the line surrounding land that has been impacted by a wildfire. Consumption Best Practices:As a service that is subject to very high usage, ensure peak performance and accessibility of your maps and apps by avoiding the use of non-cacheable relative Date/Time field filters. To accommodate filtering events by Date/Time, we suggest using the included "Age" fields that maintain the number of days or hours since a record was created or last modified, compared to the last service update. These queries fully support the ability to cache a response, allowing common query results to be efficiently provided to users in a high demand service environment. When ingesting this service in your applications, avoid using POST requests whenever possible. These requests can compromise performance and scalability during periods of high usage because they too are not cacheable. Source:  Wildfire points are sourced from Integrated Reporting of Wildland-Fire Information (IRWIN) and perimeters from National Interagency Fire Center (NIFC).  Current Incidents: This layer provides a near real-time view of the data being shared through the Integrated Reporting of Wildland-Fire Information (IRWIN) service. IRWIN provides data exchange capabilities between participating wildfire systems, including federal, state and local agencies. Data is synchronized across participating organizations to make sure the most current information is available. The display of the points are based on the NWCG Fire Size Classification applied to the daily acres attribute. Current Perimeters: This layer displays fire perimeters posted to the National Incident Feature Service. It is updated from operational data and may not reflect current conditions on the ground. For a better understanding of the workflows involved in mapping and sharing fire perimeter data, see the National Wildfire Coordinating Group Standards for Geospatial Operations. Prescribed Fire (RX) - A wildland fire originating from a planned ignition in accordance with applicable laws, policies, and regulations to meet specific objectives. Incident Complex (CX) - An incident complex is two or more individual incidents in the same general proximity that are managed together under one Incident Management Team. This allows resources to be used across the complex rather than on individual incidents uniting operational activities. IrwinID: Unique identifier assigned to each incident record in both point and perimeter layers. Acres: these typically refer to the number of acres within the current perimeter of a specific, individual incident, including unburned and unburnable islands.Discovery: An estimate of acres burning upon the discovery of the fire.Calculated or GIS:  A measure of acres calculated (i.e., infrared) from a geospatial perimeter of a fire.Daily: A measure of acres reported for a fire.Final: The measure of acres within the final perimeter of a fire. More specifically, the number of acres within the final fire perimeter of a specific, individual incident, including unburned and unburnable islands. These fields are computed when the data is updated, reflecting the current number of days since each record was last updated.     The data is updated nightly using ArcGIS scripting. Scripting will not update the ArcGIS Online "item updated" date, which only reflects the last time the ArcGIS Online item page was last updated. The Kansas Department of Health and Environment (KDHE), Bureau of Remediation (BER) Storage Tank Section enforces federal (EPA) and state storage tank regulations.PROHIBITED USES: KSA 45-230 prohibits the use of names and addresses contained in public records for certain commercial purposes. By submitting this request, you are signing the following written certification that you will not use the information in the records for any purpose prohibited by law.DATA LIMITATIONS:> This data set is not designed for use as a regulatory tool in permitting or citing decisions; it may be used as a reference source. Carefully consider the provisional or incomplete nature of these data before using them for decisions that concern personal safety or involves substantial monetary consequences.> A new facility point is added when a new facility is added to the origination database. > Data is replicated on a nightly basis for public consumption. KDHE is not responsible for database integrity following download. > A Regulated Storage Tank Facility can own multiple Storage Tanks at the one facility. This dataset contains data that is specific to each individual Storage Tank at the one facility. Information such as tank contents, capacity, etc. The Location of each storage tank is NOT collected, and the point represents a general location somewhere in the Facilities Property. The points will be stacked if multiple tanks exists.> For the details of the Tank Facility (address, owner, etc) see the "Regulated Storage Tanks" Feature Layer.     KDHE makes no assurances of the accuracy or validity of information presented in the Spatial Data. KDHE Tanks have been located using a variety of locational methods. More recent points are geocoded and validated with accuracy of 3-10 meters. In order to understand what is actually occurring at a census block group level, SafeGraph is offering a temporary Social Distancing Metrics product. This product is delivered daily (3 days delayed from actual).The data was generated using a panel of GPS pings from anonymous mobile devices. We determine the common nighttime location of each mobile device over a 6 week period to a Geohash-7 granularity (~153m x ~153m). For ease of reference, we call this common nighttime location, the device's "home".     This layer features special areas of interest (AOIs) that have been contributed to Esri Community Maps using the new Community Maps Editor app. The data that is accepted by Esri will be included in selected Esri basemaps, including our suite of Esri Vector Basemaps, and made available through this layer to export and use offline.     The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) produces Flood Insurance Rate maps and identifies Special Flood Hazard Areas as part of the National Flood Insurance Program's floodplain management. Special Flood Hazard Areas have regulations that include the mandatory purchase of flood insurance for holders of federally regulated mortgages. In addition, this layer can help planners and firms avoid areas of flood risk and also avoid additional cost to carry insurance for certain planned activities. The vector data were then flagged with an index of 94 classes, representing a unique combination of values displayed by three renderers. (In three resolutions the three renderers make nine processing templates.) Repair Geometry was run on the set of features, then the features were rasterized using the 94 class index at a resolutions of 10, 30, and 90 meters, using the Polygon to Raster tool and the "MAXIMUM_COMBINED_AREA" option. Not every part of the United States is covered by flood rate maps. This layer compiles all the flood insurance maps available at the time of publication. To make analysis easier, areas that were NOT mapped by FEMA for flood insurance rates no longer are served as NODATA but are filled in with a value of 250, representing any unmapped areas which appear in the US Census boundary of the USA states and territories. The attribute table corresponding to value 250 will indicate that the area was not mapped.What can you do with this layer?This layer is suitable for both visualization and analysis across the ArcGIS system. This layer can be combined with your data and other layers from the ArcGIS Living Atlas of the World in ArcGIS Online and ArcGIS Pro to create powerful web maps that can be used alone or in a story map or other application. Because this layer is part of the ArcGIS Living Atlas of the World it is easy to add to your map:In ArcGIS Online, you can add this layer to a map by selecting Add then Browse Living Atlas Layers. A window will open. Type "flood hazard areas" in the search box and browse to the layer. Select the layer then click Add to Map.In ArcGIS Pro, open a map and select Add Data from the Map Tab. Select Data at the top of the drop down menu. The Add Data dialog box will open on the left side of the box, expand Portal if necessary, then select Living Atlas. Type "flood hazard areas" in the search box, browse to the layer then click OK. In ArcGIS Pro you can use the built-in raster functions to create custom extracts of the data. Imagery layers provide fast, powerful inputs to geoprocessing tools, models, or Python scripts in Pro. The ArcGIS Living Atlas of the World provides an easy way to explore many other beautiful and authoritative maps on hundreds of topics like this one. Processing TemplatesCartographic Renderer - The default. These are meaningful classes grouped by FEMA which group its own Flood Zone Type and Subtype fields. This renderer uses FEMA's own cartographic interpretations of its flood zone and zone subtype fields to help you identify and assess risk. Flood Zone Type Renderer - Specifically renders FEMA FLD_ZONE (flood zone) attribute, which distinguishes the original, broadest categories of flood zones. This renderer displays high level categories of flood zones, and is less nuanced than the Cartographic Renderer. For example, a fld_zone value of X can either have moderate or low risk depending on location. This renderer will simply render fld_zone X as its own color without identifying "500 year" flood zones within that category.Flood Insurance Requirement Renderer - Shows Special Flood Hazard Area (SFHA) true-false status. This may be helpful if you want to show just the places where flood insurance is required. A value of True means flood insurance is mandatory in a majority of the area covered by each 10m pixel. Each of these three renderers have templates at three different raster resolutions depending on your analysis needs. To include the layer in web maps to serve maps and queries, the 10 meter renderers are the preferred option. These are served with overviews and render at all resolutions. However, when doing analysis of larger areas, we now offer two coarser resolutions of 30 and 90 meters in processing templates for added convenience and time savings.Data DictionaryMaking a copy of your area of interest using copyraster in arcgis pro will copy the layer's attribute table to your network alongside the local output raster. The raster attribute table in the copied raster will contain the flood zone, zone subtype, and special flood hazard area true/false flag which corresponds to each value in the layer for your area of interest. For your convienence, we also included a table in CSV format in the box below as a data dictionary you can use as an index to every value in the layer.     This feature layer contains the most up-to-date COVID-19 cases for the US, Canada. Data sources: WHO, CDC, ECDC, NHC, DXY, 1point3acres, Worldometers.info, BNO, state and national government health departments, and local media reports. The China data is automatically updating at least once per hour, and non China data is updating manually. This layer is created and maintained by the Center for Systems Science and Engineering (CSSE) at the Johns Hopkins University. This feature layer is supported by Esri Living Atlas team and JHU Data Services. This layer is opened to the public and free to share. Contact Johns Hopkins.IMPORTANT NOTICE: 1. Fields for Active Cases and Recovered Cases are set to 0 in all locations. John Hopkins has not found a reliable source for this information at the county level but will continue to look and carry the fields.2. Fields for Incident Rate and People Tested are placeholders for when this becomes available at the county level.3. In some instances, cases have not been assigned a location at the county scale. those are still assigned a state but are listed as unassigned and given a Lat Long of 0,0.

Description

This map displays the Quantitative Precipitation Forecast (QPF) for the next 72 hours across the contiguous United States. Data are updated hourly from the National Digital Forecast Database produced by the National Weather Service.The dataset includes incremental and cumulative precipitation data in 6-hour intervals. In the ArcGIS Online map viewer you can enable the time animation feature and select either the "Amount by Time" (incremental) layer or the "Accumulation by Time" (cumulative) layer to view a 72-hour animation of forecast precipitation. All times are reported according to your local time zone.Where is the data coming from?The National Digital Forecast Database (NDFD) was designed to provide access to weather forecasts in digital form from a central location. The NDFD produces forecast data of sensible weather elements. NDFD contains a seamless mosaic of digital forecasts from National Weather Service (NWS) field offices working in collaboration with the National Centers for Environmental Prediction (NCEP).
