Roman Catholic was the most common religion affiliation in Argentina in 2023. In a survey carried out in 2023, roughly 67.8 percent of Argentinian respondents claimed to be of catholic faith, whereas the second most chosen religion was Evangelism, with 6.3 percent of the people interviewed. Over 16 percent of respondents answered they didn't profess any religion.

A survey carried out between August and September of 2019 showed that there was a 13.6 percentage points decrease on the affiliation of Argentinians to the Catholic faith in comparison to 2008. Meanwhile, the share of evangelists and Argentinians with no religious affiliation increased in this eleven-year period. Nevertheless, Roman Catholic was still the most predominant religion in all age groups in the South American country in 2019.

Approximately 70.9 percent of those without a religion never attend any sort of religious services. For evangelists, the highest percentage (29.4) attended religious services every day or several times a week. In 2024, around 74 percent of respondents in Argentina said they believed in God. On the other hand, 26 percent said they didn't believe in God.

In 2023, about 33 percent of young people in Argentina reported attending mass or other religious services at least once a week. In contrast, 23 percent reported attending only on a special occasion, such as a wedding or funeral.

According to a survey carried out in Argentina in 2019, 85.6 percent of respondents with no religious affiliation agreed that a gay or lesbian couple must be able to adopt children. This figure dropped to 61 and 32 percent in the case of Catholics and Evangelists, respectively. Meanwhile, adherents to Evangelism were the ones that agreed the most with a more patriarchal concept of family, where the men is superior to the women (17.5 percent) and where the latter should stay at home to care for the children (37.6). Approximately 41.9 percent of respondents from this religion also believed that abortion should be prohibited.

In 2023, about 51 percent of young argentines surveyed said spirituality was present in their lives. Around 14 percent said they were not spiritual.

At the same time, 58.4 percent of Argentinian respondents without a religion stated the woman should have the right to abortion whenever she chooses to.

In December 2020, abortion in Argentina was legalized up until the 14th week of pregnancy. Before the law passed, abortion was only decriminalized in cases where the pregnant person's life or health was in danger, or if the pregnancy was the result of rape.

Meanwhile, 14.9 percent of the people participating in the survey said they did not profess any religion.In Mexico, more than 69 percent of respondents said they professed Catholicism. Particularly in Honduras, Colombia and Ecuador, most Christians think religion is very important in their lives.

The two countries with the greatest shares of the world's Jewish population are the United States and Israel. The United States had been a hub of Jewish immigration since the nineteenth century, as Jewish people sought to escape persecution in Europe by emigrating across the Atlantic. The Jewish population in the U.S. is largely congregated in major urban areas, such as New York, Los Angeles, and Chicago, with the New York metropolitan area being the city with the second largest Jewish population worldwide, after Tel Aviv, Israel. Israel is the world's only officially Jewish state, having been founded in 1948 following the first Arab-Israeli War. While Jews had been emigrating to the holy lands since the nineteenth century, when they were controlled by the Ottoman Empire, immigration increased rapidly following the establishment of the state of Israel. Jewish communities in Eastern Europe who had survived the Holocaust saw Israel as a haven from persecution, while the state encouraged immigration from Jewish communities in other regions, notably the Middle East & North Africa. Smaller Jewish communities remain in Europe in countries such as France, the UK, and Germany, and in other countries which were hotspots for Jewish migration in the twentieth century, such as Canada and Argentina.
