These vector contour lines are derived from the 3D Elevation Program using automated and semi-automated processes. They were created to support 1:24,000-scale topographic map products, but are also published in this GIS vector format. Contour intervals are assigned by 7.5-minute quadrangle, so this vector dataset is not visually seamless across quadrangle boundaries. The vector lines have elevation attributes (in feet above mean sea level on NAVD88), but this dataset does not carry line symbols or annotation.

Shapefile of all major Roman forts within 100km of the line of Hadrian’s Wall. Original material evidenced from Ordnance Survey 1:25,000 base map and J. Collingwood Bruce’s ‘The Handbook to the Roman Wall. (Breeze 2006). Attribute table includes information about fort type, location (easting and northing – national grid reference), modern name and latin name. GIS Vector data (point) created using ArcGIS ArcMap 10.5 in OSG36 (EPSG:27700) co-ordinate system. This GIS Address Point dataset was created and updated by Broward County GIS. As of May 1st, 2015, all single-family residential homes have been updated in this layer and placed on corresponding building footprints when applicable. Since then other addresses are added as they become available from various authoritative sources. December 2016 reprojected to NAD 1983 HARN State Plane Florida East FIPS 0901 Feet.
· Regular updates to this dataset as new data is submitted and verified.
· Data is considered current.
This layer is not a complete set of addresses in Broward County. We are in the process of accomplishing our goal to provide emergency services with a precise dataset conducive to rapid and efficient emergency response. Expected completion date is unknown at this time. Future enhancements will include addresses for multi-family residences, strip malls, businesses, etc.

Forest tracts is a base map data layer derived by automated processes and processed for cartographic representation at 1:2400 scale. The polygon features represent the areas of forest or scrub cover as seen from above and are mapped to National Map Accuracy Standards (NMAS). Forest is used by both the private and public sectors for comprehensive planning, facility planning, preservation projects, site design and land cover analysis.
Data are stored in the corporate ArcSDE Geodatabase as a polygon feature class. The coordinate system is Virginia State Plane (North), Zone 4501, datum NAD83 HARN, Vertical datum, NAVD88, US Survey foot units. OMAGI updates all base map data via a photogrammetric process, using aerial imagery that is flown yearly in phases. A different portion of the County is updated each year with the base map maintenance services contract, depending upon development patterns and update funding. See "Lineage" section for the list of extents for each Phase area, which are listed as “Data Sources”. The field “UPD_DATE” indicates the date a feature was last re-mapped, although it may have been reviewed for changes more recently.
The GIS Section reviews the layer in support of the EOC and the Urban Planning Division. The data is checked for inclusion and geometric placement accuracy. The GIS Section is no longer updating City Parks 100%. We will be reviewing a select handful of parks each year. Generally, we will begin our update schedule with the largest cities first, but a good city parks source may alter that schedule. The years listed below indicate which cities have been updated.
2009: All parks corrected to parcels. Corrected/updated Weston with T. Gates data.
2010: The cities' parks updated included Hollywood, Pompano Beach, and Hollywood.
The
review technique was a review and/or incorporation of geodata from Ft.
Lauderdale and website information incorporation from Pompano and Hollywood.
2011: Davie Parks updated and corrected based on Irene Degroot's shapefile and aerials. Wilton Manors update complete, city manager’s office said pocket parks are to be expected soon. West Park parks reflect parcels - note Mary Saunders Park is a very irregular shape, made up of many rights-of-way and will be an exception to our parcel-based rule.
2013: Toni Peyton said there were no changes to county parks since Miramar Pinelands. She requested a map of POD parks. Pembroke Pines - reviewed park inventory, park map locator, and spoke with Lori of Chuck Vones' (Dir. Parks and Rec) office. Reviewed Miramar Park Inventory.
2014: Reviewed and updated Coral Springs, Lauderdale By the Sea, Pembroke Park, Pembroke Pines, Lighthouse Point, Fort Lauderdale, Coconut Creek, and West Park.
2015: Reviewed 05/15/15
2021: Updated by BCGIS - Ruth Rothkoph Park and Lieberman Botanical Park in Lauderhill.

This data was created to depict portions of state-owned Sovereign Lands that are under the jurisdiction of the California State Lands Commission. Data coverage is currently limited to reaches 1A, 4A and 4B1 of the San Joaquin River.
The California State Lands Commission (CSLC) was created by the California Legislature in 1938 and given the authority and responsibility to manage certain public lands within the state. The public lands under the Commission’s jurisdiction are of two distinct types—sovereign lands acquired upon California’s admission into the Union in 1850; and certain federally granted lands including school lands, and swamp and overflowed lands. For purposes of this GIS data, sovereign lands are considered to be further divided into two general categories—fixed-boundary sovereign lands and ambulatory-boundary sovereign lands.
The following lands are included in this data:
· Portions of the ambulatory-boundary for state sovereign lands at a specific point in time, for portions of the San Joaquin River.
NOT INCLUDED IN THIS DATA:
· School lands: These are what remains of nearly 5.5 million acres throughout the state originally granted to California by Congress in 1853 to benefit public education.
· Fixed-boundary sovereign lands: These are sovereign, public trust lands having fixed boundaries as the result of land exchanges, boundary line agreements or court orders.
· Swamps and overflowed lands: These are what remain of federal lands granted to California by Congress in 1850 to encourage reclamation and development of agricultural lands.
ALSO NOT INCLUDED IN THIS DATA: Ownership details within the U.S. Government meanders of Owens Lake.
THIS DATA SUPERSEDES all previously published GIS information with respect to the above described state-owned lands under the jurisdiction of the CSLC.
This map displays the location of Roman cities and roads, Hadrian’s wall and forts with viewshed analysis, and Roman coin finds, clustered.
The data set indicates the Broward County Land Use Plan designation for all parcels in Broward County. Note: Roads, other than those designated "Transportation" are not assigned a Broward County Land Use Plan designation. This data is updated as needed and as amendments become effective. Companion data includes Dashed-Line Areas, Irregular Areas, Pending Amendments and Activity Centers. Layer files are available for standard coloring. Municipal land use plans must be consistent with the Broward County Land Use Plan. The Broward County Planning Council reviews each municipal land use plan pursuant to the Broward County Charter and certifies those municipal land use plans which have been found to be in "substantial conformity" with the Broward County Land Use Plan. When certified by the Council, the municipal land use plan becomes the effective land use plan for the municipal jurisdiction. The land use designations on the Broward County Land Use Plan serve as the basis for municipal jurisdiction. The municipal land use plans may be more restrictive than the Broward County Land Use Plan and may depict uses and categories other than those shown on the Broward County Land Use Plan for specific parcels. Areas designated on the Broward County Land Use Plan Map or particular uses are approximate. The exact boundaries for zoning will be determined by the municipality within the reasonable limits of the designation on the map. For further information regarding identification of the effective land use plan for a specific area or for interpretation of the land use designation for a specific parcel, please contact the Broward County Planning Council at 954.357.6695.
This data set was developed to be utilized as a land use plan map and to permit the compilation and analysis of associated data such as, but not limited to, acreage and permitted dwelling units. This data is the BrowardNext version and was updated October 15, 2019. For informational purposes only.
