    Description

These are prime wildlife conservation areas in the country, considered to be important on a European as well as Irish level. Most Special Areas of Conservation (SACs) are in the countryside, although a few sites reach into town or city landscapes, such as Dublin Bay and Cork Harbour. Detailed conservation objectives are available for some SACs and as additional ones are approved they will be posted on the NPWS website (www.npws.ie). The legal basis on which SACs are selected and designated is the EU Habitats Directive, transposed into Irish law in the as amended in 1998 and 2005. The Directive lists certain habitats and species that must be protected within SACs This is a national dataset and is split into two separate file download: SACs within the bounds of the ITM coordinate reference system and off-shore SACs which are provided in WGS 84.

    Description

Conservation objectives for Natura 2000 Special Areas of Conservation (SACs) and Special Protection Areas (SPAs) have to be set for the habitats and species for which the sites are selected. These objectives are used when carrying out appropriate assessments for plans and projects that might impact on these sites. Site-specific conservation objectives outline attributes with targets, which define favourable condition for a habitat or species at a particular site. They are used for appropriate assessment of plans or projects. In addition, they can provide useful information for conservation management planning. The maintenance of habitats and species within Natura 2000 sites at favourable conservation condition will contribute to the overall maintenance of favourable conservation status of those habitats and species at a national level. This is a national dataset. Site-specific conservation objectives aim to define favourable conservation condition for Habitats Directive Annex I habitats and Annex II species at a site level. This project relates to the following Annex I habitat at specific sites: - Vegetated sea cliffs of the Atlantic and Baltic coasts (1230), - Watercourses of plain to montane levels with the Ranunculion fluitantis and Callitricho-Batrachion vegetation (3260),

Favourable conservation condition of a habitat is achieved when: - its natural range, and area it covers within that range, is stable or increasing, and - the ecological factors that are necessary for its long-term maintenance exist and are likely to continue to exist for the foreseeable future, and - the conservation condition of its typical species is favourable Habitat mapping is used to help define the area and range parameters for conservation objectives

    Description

The Natura 2000 network comprises 2 types of regulatory areas: special Protection Areas (SPAs) and Special Conservation Areas (SACs). The Special Areas of Conservation (SAC) aim at the conservation of the habitat types and animal and plant species listed in Annexes I and II to the European Habitats Directive of 21/05/1992. In order to designate the SACs, each Member State shall submit its proposals to the European Commission in the form of a pSIC (proposal for a Community Interest Site). After approval by the Commission, the PSIC is listed as a Site of Community Interest (SIC) for the European Union and is integrated into the Natura 2000 network. A ministerial order then designates the site as a SAC.

The Conservation of Habitats and Species Regulations 2010 provide for the designation and protection of 'European sites', the protection of 'European protected species', and the adaptation of planning and other controls for the protection of European Sites. This dataset is made up of 43 datasets showing the extent of features for which our marine Special Areas of Conservation (SACs) are designated and forms part of the advice packages Natural Resources Wales (NRW) prepares for our marine SACs under Regulation 37 (formerly Regulation 33 and 35) of the Conservation of Habitats and Species Regulations. They show the presence of (extent) of features within our marine SACs at the time of site designation against which statutory advice can be given. They also act as a baseline for feature extent against which changes can be measured during reporting under Article 17 of the Habitats Directive.

    Description

Groundwater Elevation Change Maps summarize the change in groundwater level measurements over time, collected from wells in the northern Sacramento Valley by the Department of Water Resources (DWR) Northern Region Office (NRO) and monitoring cooperators. Northern Sacramento Valley groundwater levels are measured seasonally, during the annual water year, as part of our ongoing data collection program. Many of the wells have over 30 years of monitoring history, with the longest active monitoring well dating back to 1921. Groundwater level data provides valuable information regarding seasonal fluctuations and long-term changes in groundwater level trends over time. The groundwater level data presented in these figures includes the Sacramento Valley and Redding groundwater basin portions of Shasta, Tehama, Butte, Colusa, Glenn, and Sutter counties and are organized by year, season, well depth, and period of change.

Together with the Special Protection Areas for Birds (SPAs), they constitute the Natura 2000 Network, integrated into the Network of Natural Protected Areas (RANP) of Castilla y León, (Law 4/2015, of 24 March, on the Natural Heritage of Castilla y León).

SCIs declared SACs by Decree 57/2015 of 10 September 2015 declaring special areas of conservation and areas of special protection for birds and regulating the basic management and conservation planning of the Natura 2000 network in Castilla y León.

Layer formed by the aggregation of the cartographic adaptation of the limits of the SACs of Castilla y León, at reference scale 1:10.000. It is understood by cartographic adaptation of the limits of a space to cartographic adjustment aimed at increasing its accuracy and reliability, which derives from the improvement of the analysis instruments and cartographic bases that have occurred since its definition. These limits have been adjusted, as a general rule, to the official cartography (basic, thematic or derived), of greater precision in force, with legal validity and / or territorial representation. The proposal for these cartographic adjustments was made available to the public together with the proposal for the declaration of SACs and SPAs, through the Resolution of 8 October 2014 of the Ministry of Development and Environment, which submitted for public hearing and information the draft decree declaring Special Areas of Conservation and Special Protection Areas for Birds and regulating the basic management and conservation planning of the Natura 2000 Network in the Community of Castilla y León. Those adjustments have been approved by the European Commission through Commission Implementing Decision (EU) 2016/2328 of 9 December 2016 adopting the tenth updated list of sites of Community importance for the Mediterranean biogeographical region and Commission Implementing Decision (EU) 2016/2335 of 9 December 2016 adopting the tenth updated list of sites of Community importance for the Atlantic biogeographical region; and by Resolution of 24 January 2017 of the Directorate-General for the Natural Environment, which approves and publicises the adjustments to the limits of the Special Areas of Conservation and the Special Protection Areas for Birds of the Natura 2000 Network of Castilla y León.

description: The Digital Flood Insurance Rate Map (DFIRM) Database depicts flood risk information and supporting data used to develop the risk data. The primary risk classifications used are the 1-percent-annual-chance flood event, the 0.2-percent-annual-chance flood event, and areas of minimal flood risk. The DFIRM Database is derived from Flood Insurance Studies (FISs), previously published Flood Insurance Rate Maps (FIRMs), flood hazard analyses performed in support of the FISs and FIRMs, and new mapping data, where available. The FISs and FIRMs are published by the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA). The file is georeferenced to earth's surface using the State Plane projection and coordinate system. The specifications for the horizontal control of DFIRM data files are consistent with those required for mapping at a scale of 1:12,000.; abstract: The Digital Flood Insurance Rate Map (DFIRM) Database depicts flood risk information and supporting data used to develop the risk data.
