The original target was to collect data for the close of the 2013 fiscal year. As the collection progressed, it became clear that holding to that time standard was not practical. Out of expediency, the date requirement was relaxed, and the currently available dataset was collected for a majority of the counties. Most of these were distributed with minimal metadata.The table “ParcelInfo” includes the data that the data came into our possession, and our best estimate of the last time the parcel dataset was updated by the original source. Data sets listed as “Downloaded from” were downloaded from a publicly accessible web or FTP site from the county. Other data sets were provided directly to us by the county, though many of them may also be available for direct download. Â These data have been reprojected to California Albers NAD84, but have not been checked for topology, or aligned to county boundaries in any way. Tulare County’s dataset arrived with an undefined projection and was identified as being California State Plane NAD83 (US Feet) and was assigned by ICE as that projection prior to reprojection. Kings County’s dataset was delivered as individual shapefiles for each of the 50 assessor’s books maintained at the county. These were merged to a single feature class prior to importing to the database.The attribute tables were standardized and truncated to include only a PARNO (APN). The format of these fields has been left identical to the original dataset. The Data Interoperablity Extension ETL tool used in this process is included in the zip file. Where provided by the original data sources, metadata for the original data has been maintained. This is SCAG 2019 Regional Land Use dataset developed for the final 2024 Connect SoCal, the 2024-2050 Regional Transportation Plan/Sustainable Communities Strategy (RTP/SCS), including general plan land use, specific plan land use, zoning code, and existing land use at parcel-level (approximately five million parcels) for 197 local jurisdictions in the SCAG region.The regional land use dataset is developed (1) to aid in SCAG’s regional transportation planning, scenario planning and growth forecasting, (2) facilitate policy discussion on various planning issues, and (3) enhance information database to better serve SCAG member jurisdictions, research institutes, universities, developers, general public, etc. It is the most frequently and widely utilized SCAG geospatial data. From late 2019 to early 2020, SCAG staff obtained the 2019 parcel boundary GIS file and tax roll property information from county assessor’s offices. After months of data standardization and clean-up process, SCAG staff released the 2019 parcel boundary GIS files along with the 2019 Annual Land Use dataset in February 2021. In December 2021, SCAG staff successfully developed the preliminary dataset of the 2019 regional land use data and released the draft SCAG Data/Map Book in May 2022. The preliminary land use data was reviewed by local jurisdictions during the Local Data Exchange (LDX) process for Connect SoCal 2024. As a part of the final 2019 regional land use data development process, SCAG staff made every effort to review the local jurisdictions’ inputs and comments and incorporated any updates to the regional land use datasets. The products of this project has been used as one of the key elements for Connect SoCal 2024 plan development, growth forecasting, scenario planning, and SCAG’s policy discussion on various planning issues, as well as Connect SoCal key growth strategy analysis.Note: This dataset is intended for planning purposes only, and SCAG shall incur no responsibility or liability as to the completeness, currentness, or accuracy of this information. While the full boundaries provided by CDTFA include coastal buffers of varying sizes, many users need boundaries to end at the shoreline of the ocean or a bay. As a result, after examining existing city and county boundary layers, these datasets provide a coastline cut generally along the ocean facing coastline. For county boundaries in northern California, the cut runs near the Golden Gate Bridge, while for cities, we cut along the bay shoreline and into the edge of the Delta at the boundaries of Solano, Contra Costa, and Sacramento counties.In the services linked above, the versions that include the coastal buffers contain them as a second (or third) polygon for the city or county, with the value in the COASTAL field set to whether it"s a bay or ocean polygon. These can be processed back into a single polygon by dissolving on all the fields you wish to keep, since the attributes, other than the COASTAL field and geometry attributes (like areas) remain the same between the polygons for this purpose.SliversIn cases where a city or county"s boundary ends near a coastline, our coastline data may cross back and forth many times while roughly paralleling the jurisdiction"s boundary, resulting in many polygon slivers. We post-process the data to remove these slivers using a city/county boundary priority algorithm. That is, when the data run parallel to each other, we discard the coastline cut and keep the CDTFA-provided boundary, even if it extends into the ocean a small amount. This processing supports consistent boundaries for Fort Bragg, Point Arena, San Francisco, Pacifica, Half Moon Bay, and Capitola, in addition to others. The Vegetation Map of Cañada de San Vicente (CSV), San Diego County, was created by the California Department of Fish and Game (DFG) Vegetation and Mapping Program (VegCAMP). CSV, formerly known as Monte Vista Ranch, was acquired in April 2009 by DFG and is currently not open to the public as the management plan is not complete. The map study area boundary is based on the DFG Lands layer that was published in April, 2011 and includes 4888 acres of land. This includes 115 acres of private land located in the northeast corner of the map that was considered an area of interest (AOI) before purchase by DFG. The map is based on field data from 38 vegetation Rapid Assessment surveys (RAs), 111 reconnaissance points, and 118 verification points that were conducted between April 2009 and January 2012. The rapid assessment surveys were collected as part of a comprehensive effort to create the Vegetation Classification Manual for Western San Diego County (Sproul et al., 2011). A total of 1265 RAs and 18 relevés were conducted for this larger project, all of which were analyzed together using cluster analysis to develop the final vegetation classification. The CSV area was delineated by vegetation type and each polygon contains attributes for hardwood tree, shrub and herb cover, roadedness, development, clearing, and heterogeneity. Of 545 woodland and shrubland polygons that were delineated, 516 were mapped to the association level and 29 to the alliance level (due to uncertainty in the association). Of 46 herbaceous polygons that were delineated, 36 were mapped to the group or macrogroup level and 8 were mapped to association. Four polygons were mapped as urban or agriculture. The classification and map follow the National Vegetation Classification Standard (NVCS) and Federal Geographic Data Committee (FGDC) standard and State of California Vegetation and Mapping Standards. The minimum mapping area unit (MMU) is one acre, though occasionally, vegetation is mapped below MMU for special types including wetland, riparian, and native herbaceous and when it was possible to delineate smaller stands with a high degree of certainty (e.g., with available field data). In total, about 45 percent of the polygons were supported by field data points and 55 percent were based on photointerpretation.

The quadrangle, situated in Joshua Tree National Park in the eastern Transverse Ranges physiographic and structural province, encompasses parts of the northwestern Eagle Mountains, east-central Pinto Basin, and eastern Pinto Mountains. The quadrangle is underlain by a basement terrane comprising metamorphosed Proterozoic strata, Mesozoic plutonic rocks, and Jurassic and Mesozoic and (or) Cenozoic hypabyssal dikes. The basement terrane is capped by a widespread Tertiary erosion surface preserved in remnants in the Pinto and Eagle Mountains and buried beneath Cenozoic deposits in Pinto Basin. A sequence of at least three Quaternary pediments is planed into the north piedmont of the Eagle Mountains, each in turn overlain by successively younger residual and alluvial, surficial deposits. The Tertiary erosion surface is deformed and broken by north-northwest-trending, high-angle, dip-slip faults in the Pinto and Eagle Mountains and an east-west trending system of high-angle dip- and left-slip faults along the range fronts facing Pinto Basin. In and around the San Bernardino Wash quadrangle, faults of the north-northwest-trending set displace Miocene sedimentary rocks and basalt deposited on the Tertiary erosion surface and some of the faults may offset Pliocene and (or) Pleistocene deposits that accumulated on the oldest pediment. The 17,158 acre Johnson Valley project area is located in San Bernardino County, 32 miles east of Victorville, CA bisected by highway 247. The fine-scale vegetation map was created as part of a collaborative project between the United States Geological Survey (USGS) and the Vegetation Classification and Mapping Program of the California Department of Fish and Wildlife (CDFW) to show the correlation between vegetation and geomorphology. The vegetation mapping types are based on the vegetation classification that was developed for the larger Desert Renewable Energy Conservation Plan (DRECP) mapping project (CDFW 2013). The vegetation classification was developed using a compilation of data collected for several projects including Anza-Borrego Desert State Park and Environs (Keeler-Wolf et al. 1998), the Mojave Desert Ecosystem Program''s Vegetation Database (Thomas et al. 2004), Vegetation of Joshua Tree National Park (La Doux et al. 2013), and Vegetation Classification and Mapping at Lake Mead National Recreation Area, Mojave National Preserve and Death Valley National Park (in progress, draft as of 2014).
