    Measurement technique
    The data presented in this dataset is derived from the latest U.S. Census Bureau American Community Survey (ACS) 2019-2023 5-Year Estimates. To measure the three variables, namely (a) male population, (b) female population and (b) total population, we initially analyzed and categorized the data for each of the age groups. For age groups we divided it into roughly a 5 year bucket for ages between 0 and 85. For over 85, we aggregated data into a single group for all ages.     Context

    The dataset tabulates the data for the San Diego County, CA population pyramid, which represents the San Diego County population distribution across age and gender, using estimates from the U.S. Census Bureau American Community Survey (ACS) 2019-2023 5-Year Estimates. It lists the male and female population for each age group, along with the total population for those age groups.     The Transportation Forecast Information Center (TFIC) gives you quick access to transportation forecasts. You may use this tool to look at the forecasts on screen as well as print maps or tables.Forecasted average weekday traffic (AWT) volumes in thousands are displayed for freeways, ramps, and major and minor roads. Individual roadway segments can be selected to obtain additional information including street name, type of roadway, number of lanes, and posted speed. Traffic analysis zone (TAZ) zone connector volumes are shown and TAZ-level trip generation and land use forecasts are provided.Source. SANDAG uses a regional transportation model to produce highway and transit forecasts for individual forecast years. These forecasts are updated periodically to incorporate the most recent planning assumptions. Traffic Series 12 forecasts were completed in October 2013 in support of the 2011 2050 Regional Transportation Plan (RTP). These traffic forecasts utilize the "Revenue Constrained" network as defined in the RTP, and the Final Series 12 2050 Regional Growth Forecast.Series 12 forecasts differ from the TFIC Series 11, which was based on the Regional Transportation Plan (RTP) adopted in 2008 and Series 11 growth forecasts.

    About this dataset

    Context

    The dataset tabulates the San Antonio population over the last 20 plus years. It lists the population for each year, along with the year on year change in population, as well as the change in percentage terms for each year. The dataset can be utilized to understand the population change of San Antonio across the last two decades. For example, using this dataset, we can identify if the population is declining or increasing. If there is a change, when the population peaked, or if it is still growing and has not reached its peak. We can also compare the trend with the overall trend of United States population over the same period of time.

    Key observations

    In 2023, the population of San Antonio was 1.5 million, a 1.49% increase year-by-year from 2022. Previously, in 2022, San Antonio population was 1.47 million, an increase of 1.33% compared to a population of 1.45 million in 2021. Over the last 20 plus years, between 2000 and 2023, population of San Antonio increased by 339,730. In this period, the peak population was 1.55 million in the year 2019. Measurement technique
The data presented in this dataset is derived from the latest U.S. Census Bureau American Community Survey (ACS) 2019-2023 5-Year Estimates. To measure the three variables, namely (a) male population, (b) female population and (b) total population, we initially analyzed and categorized the data for each of the age groups. For age groups we divided it into roughly a 5 year bucket for ages between 0 and 85. For over 85, we aggregated data into a single group for all ages. About this dataset

Context

The dataset tabulates the data for the San Diego County, CA population pyramid, which represents the San Diego County population distribution across age and gender, using estimates from the U.S. Census Bureau American Community Survey (ACS) 2019-2023 5-Year Estimates. It lists the male and female population for each age group, along with the total population for those age groups. Higher numbers at the bottom of the table suggest population growth, whereas higher numbers at the top indicate declining birth rates.
