    This resource is a member of a series. The TIGER/Line shapefiles and related database files (.dbf) are an extract of selected geographic and cartographic information from the U.S. Census Bureau's Master Address File / Topologically Integrated Geographic Encoding and Referencing (MAF/TIGER) System (MTS). The MTS represents a seamless national file with no overlaps or gaps between parts, however, each TIGER/Line shapefile is designed to stand alone as an independent data set, or they can be combined to cover the entire nation. The All Roads shapefile includes all features within the MTS Super Class "Road/Path Features" distinguished where the MAF/TIGER Feature Classification Code (MTFCC) for the feature in the MTS that begins with "S". This includes all primary, secondary, local neighborhood, and rural roads, city streets, vehicular trails (4wd), ramps, service drives, alleys, parking lot roads, private roads for service vehicles (logging, oil fields, ranches, etc.), bike paths or trails, bridle/horse paths, walkways/pedestrian trails, and stairways.

    The Wind Load Category, 7th Edition layer contains zones in Sarasota County that mark wind-speed design loads per structure type for a given risk category. Effective Date January 1, 2021. Risk Categories include Category I, Category II, Category III, and Category IV.In the 7th Edition of the Wind Speed contours, each structure risk category is splt into 2 zonez by the wind speed contour line that crosses Sarasota County. For example, for Risk Category I, the north county design load equates to a wind speed of 140 mph. South of the wind speed contour for Risk Category I, the design load equates to a wind speed of 150 mph. The remaining Risk Categories II, III, and IV are intepreted in the same way, only the windspeeds increase. For more information, please see the Florida Building Code Guidelines

    The Wind Load Category, 8th Edition layer contains zones in Sarasota County that mark wind-speed design loads per structure type for a given risk category.     These are Digital Elevation Model (DEM) data for Sarasota county,as part of the required deliverables for the FL Peninsular FDEM 2018 D19 DRRA Lidar project.Class 2 (ground) lidar points in conjunction with the hydro breaklines were used to create a 2.5 foot hydro-flattened Raster DEM.Dataset Description: FL Peninsular FDEM 2018 D19 DRRA Lidar project called for the Planning, Acquisition, processing and derivative products of lidar data to be collected at a nominal pulse spacing (NPS) of 0.35 meter. Project specifications are based on the U.S. Geological Survey National Geospatial Program Base Lidar Specification, Version 1.3. The data was developed based on a horizontal projection/datum of NAD83 (2011), State Plane, U.S Survey Feet and vertical datum of NAVD88 (GEOID12B), U.S Survey Feet. Sarasota County GIS has subsequently re-projected the data to NAD83 State Plane HARN, U.S. Survey Feet.Raster Cell Size: 2.5 footRequired Vertical Accuracy: The required NVA is: 19.6 cm (0.64 ft)at a 95% confidence level
