Available for viewing and sharing as a map in a Koordinates map viewer. This data is also available for export to DWG for CAD, PDF, KML, CSV, and GIS data formats, including Shapefile, MapInfo, and Geodatabase.

The Florida Department of Revenue’s Property Tax Oversight(PTO) program collects parcel level Geographic Information System (GIS) data files every April from all of Florida’s 67 county property appraisers’ offices. This GIS data was exported from these file submissions in August 2025. The GIS parcel polygon features have been joined with thereal property roll (Name – Address – Legal, or NAL)file. No line work was adjusted between county boundaries.The polygon data set represents the information property appraisers gathered from the legal description on deeds, lot layout of recorded plats, declaration of condominium documents, recorded and unrecorded surveys.Individual parcel data is updated continually by each county property appraiser as needed. The GIS linework and related attributions for the statewide parcel map are updated annually by the Department every August. The Wind Load Category, 7th Edition layer contains zones in Sarasota County that mark wind-speed design loads per structure type for a given risk category. Effective Date January 1, 2021. Risk Categories include Category I, Category II, Category III, and Category IV.In the 7th Edition of the Wind Speed contours, each structure risk category is splt into 2 zonez by the wind speed contour line that crosses Sarasota County. For example, for Risk Category I, the north county design load equates to a wind speed of 140 mph. South of the wind speed contour for Risk Category I, the design load equates to a wind speed of 150 mph. The remaining Risk Categories II, III, and IV are intepreted in the same way, only the windspeeds increase. For more information, please see the Florida Building Code Guidelines

The Watershed layer represents Sarasota County watersheds as as delineated for ICPR flood modelling.

The Half Section Grid layer links land-base plat sheets, benchmark detail sheets and functions as a grid-location system for many county asset locators.

The Seagrass Scallop Archive feature layer stores point locations of sample seagrass locations in and around Sarasota County bay waters. The survey began in 2006, and has been conducted annually each winter during January and February. No survey was completed in 2018 due to red tide conditions. A partial / incomplete survey was completed in 2019 for the same reason.Scallop counts and sizes per sample site were moved into this model in 2020. The information on scallop counts and sizes is stored in a related Scallop Information Table, where the annual scallop survey is conducted during the summer months of each year. Red Tide conditions prevented a scallop survey in 2018.Marine animal presence and abundance per seagrass sample site are recorded and stored in a related Bio Information Table. Bio Information is collected during the annual seagrass and scallop surveys, and may be collected during special studies, baseline studies and algae cover surveys.Algae abundance and percentages or levels of algae covering any sample site are recorded and stored in a related Algae Info Table. Prior to 2020, most information on algae refers to the level of Drift, as opposed to Rooted Algae types. After 2020, survey teams began to add information on rooted algae's present per site. The County Facility layer contains all types of Sarasota County facilities in support of various maintenance, administration, planning and services requirements.

The ESLPP Acquired Properties layer holds property boundaries and information about properties acquired under the Environmentally Sensitive Lands Protection Program.

The Street layer contains all streets, roads, drives and highways for Sarasota County. The layer is segmented by subtype, speed limit, address range, and maintenance entity. The layer can support both ESRI Network Analyst datasets and Address Locators.

The Easement layer displays various easement types as defined by the Sarasota County Property Appraisers office.

The Stage Node layer contains the Effective Base Flood Node for Sarasota County. A base flood elevation is determined at a single point defined by its latitude, longitude, and node ID.

The Thoroughfare layer contains existing and planned roadways for Sarasota County, supporting a variety of transportation, evacuation and transportation planning efforts

The USGS Topo base map service from The National Map is a combination of contours, shaded relief, woodland and urban tint, along with vector layers, such as geographic names, governmental unit boundaries, hydrography, structures, and transportation, to provide a composite topographic base map. Data sources are the National Atlas for small scales, and The National Map for medium to large scales.

Sewer Network Junction Collection contains layers that function as fittings, allowing for devices or lines to connect to another line at an intermediate vertex. Sewer Force Mains are pipes with a primary role lifting wastewater to a higher elevation. Types include Force Main and Unknown.

The Newspaper Map (World Edition) web map provides a customized world basemap symbolized with a unique "newspaper" style. It has a black & white appearance with select features highlighted in red. Many of the area fills have halftone patterns commonly found in traditional newspaper printing. The comprehensive map data includes highways, major roads, minor roads, railways, water features, cities, parks, landmarks, building footprints, and administrative boundaries.
