A dataset of Government schools average Secondary School English Class Size, showing average for Year 12 and overall secondary classes, from census year 2001 to 2025.\r

The size of secondary English classes is collected from government schools as part of the February School Census conducted on the last school day of February each year.\r
The data is based on the number of English classes in secondary year levels. English class size is an indication of the size of classes in secondary schools, as almost all students study English. This includes each compulsory and elective English class for secondary students held during the week of the census. Secondary students not studying English are NOT counted in the class size return. Also included are classes (such as Remedial English or ESL / English as a Second Language) that a student attends instead of compulsory English. Excluded are classes such as English Literature, Remedial English or ESL that a student attends as well as “compulsory” English. Please note that extra teaching support is NOT included when calculating the average class size. Average class size is NOT the same as the student/teacher ratio.

The data is collected from all Government schools as part of the February census. The size of a class is defined as the number of students that exist in a class grouping. Where schools have varying class sizes the following definition is used: -count the class as that which exists for the majority of the time and -which includes the time spent teaching literacy and numeracy and -which the school community regards as a class grouping. Decisions on the class size profile for a school are made at the school level and take into account a number of factors such as the number of teachers available, the balance of enrolments across year levels and class room availability.\r
Average class size is NOT the same as the student/teacher ratio.

This data shows February census enrolment figures. All enrolments are self-reported in full-time equivalent (FTE) units and include both full-time and part-time students.
Data Notes:
Data is self reported by schools at the start of Term 1 each year and is sourced through the School Entitlement System. Enrolment numbers are a major component linked to government funding.
Student enrolments are generally reported in FTE units. The FTE for students studying less than 10 units, the minimum workload, is determined by the formula: 0.1 x the number of units studied and represented as a proportion of the full-time enrolment of 1.0 FTE.
Students in Years 11 or 12 can enrol to study as a part-time student or a full-time student. For the annual census, a part-time student is enrolled in less than 10 units, regardless of where those units are studied. All Kindergarten to Year 10 students are considered to be full-time. Pre-school students can be enrolled on a part or full time basis.
All special education support class and Intensive English class enrolments are full-time, whilst distance education enrolments can be part-time.
Principals must ensure that each student is only counted once. For example, support class enrolments cannot be counted under mainstream as well.
A full-time Year 11 student studies 12 or more school delivered units, or a combined total of 12 or more school delivered units and non-school delivered VET units.
A full-time Year 12 student studies 10 or more school delivered units, or a combined total of 10 or more school delivered units and non-school delivered VET units.
Operational directorates given with school names are the current 2023 directorates. Due to changes in directorates over time this may mean enrolments by operational directorate is not comparable over time.

TwitterThe 2021 NPHC is tthe first census conducted under the federal structure of Nepal. The main census enumeration was originally scheduled to take place over 15 days- from June 8 to 22, 2021, but due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the enumeration was postponed for five months. Once the impact of the pandemic subsided, the enumeration was carried out according to a new work plan for a 15 dya period from November 11 to 25, 2021.
This report contains statistical tables at the national, provincial, district and municipal levels, derived from the topics covered in the census questionaires. The work of the analyzing the data in detail is still in progress. The report provides insights into the different aspects of the census operation, including its procedure, concepts, methodology, quality control, logistics, communication, data processing, challenges faced, and other management aspects.
This census slightly differs from the previous censuses mainly due to the following activities: i. three modes of data collection (CAPI, PAPI and e-census); ii. a full count of all questions instead of sampling for certain questions, as was done in the previous two censuses, iii. collaboration with Ministry of Health and Population to ascertain the likely maternal mortality cases reported in the census by skilled health personnel; iv. data processing within its premises; v. recuitment of fresh youths as supervisor and enumerators; and vi. using school teachers as master trainers, especially for the local level training of enumerators.
The objectives of the 2021 Population Census were:
a) to develop a set of benchmark data for different purposes. b) to provide distribution of population by demographic, social and economic characteristics. c) to provide data for small administrative areas of the country on population and housing characteristics. d) to provide reliable frames for different types of sample surveys. e) to provide many demographic indicators like birth rates, death rates and migration rates. f) to project population for the coming years.
The total population of Nepal, as of the census day (25 November 2021) is 29,164,578, of which the number of males is 14,253,551 (48.87 %) and the number of females is 14,911,027 (51.13 %). Accordingly, the sex ratio is 95.59 males per 100 females. Annual average population growth rate is 0.92 percent in 2021.

It is noteworty that the digital version of questionnare was applied in collecting data within the selected municipalities of Kathmandu Valley. For the concistency of data required logics were set in the data entry programme. For the processing and analysis of data SPSS and STATA programme were employed.

This dataset shows School Pupils Number on Roll (NOR) in Lincolnshire schools. Numbers of Pupils are shown by School and by School Phase, and by Age and National Curriculum Year.
The dataset covers current and main pupils on the roll of schools in Lincolnshire. Pupil numbers are allocated to local authority district areas based on the geographical location of school.
Points to be aware of:
• Sixth form pupils who now attend consortia Sixth forms must be recorded as a subsidiary pupil at the school they receive education at and as a Main (Dual registered) pupil with the school that holds their registration details.
• FTE means the full time equivalent numbers of pupils in attendance. For example, a class of 20 nursery children attending either mornings or afternoons only (half days) would count as 10 FTE. Note the FTE for Primary Schools includes Nursery Pupils
Data is from the Schools Census and shows a snapshot in May. It is updated annually.

The master dataset contains comprehensive information for all government schools in NSW. Data items include school locations, latitude and longitude coordinates, school type, student enrolment numbers, electorate information, contact details and more.
This dataset is publicly available through the Data NSW website, and is used to support the School Finder tool.
Data Notes:
Data relating to healthy canteen is no longer up to date as it is no longer updated by the Department, this data can be sourced through NSW health.
Student enrolment numbers are based on the census of government school students undertaken on the first Friday of August; and LBOTE numbers are based on data collected in March.
School information, such as addresses and contact details, are updated regularly as required, and are the most current source of information.
Data is suppressed for indigenous and LBOTE percentages where student numbers are equal to, or less than five indicated by "np".
NSSC out of scope schools will not have an enrolment figure.
NSSC and LBOTE figures are updated annually in December.
ICSEA values are updated every February with the previous year's ICSEA values. Small schools, SSPs and Senior Secondary schools do not have their ICSEA values published by ACARA.
Family Occupation and Educational Index (FOEI) is a school-level index of educational disadvantage. Data is extracted in May and values are updated annually in December.

How to read a literacy rateIn order to identify potential for intellectual and educational progress, the literacy rate of a country covers the level of education and skills acquired by a country’s inhabitants. Literacy is an important indicator of a country’s economic progress and the standard of living – it shows how many people have access to education. However, the standards to measure literacy cannot be universally applied. Measures to identify and define illiterate and literate inhabitants vary from country to country: In some, illiteracy is equated with no schooling at all, for example. Writings on the wallGlobally speaking, more men are able to read and write than women, and this disparity is also reflected in the literacy rate in India – with scarcity of schools and education in rural areas being one factor, and poverty another. A dataset of Government schools average Secondary School English Class Size, showing average for Year 12 and overall secondary classes, from census year 2001 to 2025.\r

The size of secondary English classes is collected from government schools as part of the February School Census conducted on the last school day of February each year.\r
The data is based on the number of English classes in secondary year levels. English class size is an indication of the size of classes in secondary schools, as almost all students study English. This includes each compulsory and elective English class for secondary students held during the week of the census. Secondary students not studying English are NOT counted in the class size return. Also included are classes (such as Remedial English or ESL / English as a Second Language) that a student attends instead of compulsory English. Excluded are classes such as English Literature, Remedial English or ESL that a student attends as well as “compulsory” English. Please note that extra teaching support is NOT included when calculating the average class size. Average class size is NOT the same as the student/teacher ratio.
