In the United States, more students tend to be enrolled in public schools than in private schools. In 2022, about 15.8 million students were enrolled in public high schools, compared to 1.36 million who were enrolled in private high schools.

Data includes: board and school information, grade 3 and 6 EQAO student achievements for reading, writing and mathematics, and grade 9 mathematics EQAO and OSSLT. Data excludes private schools, Education and Community Partnership Programs (ECPP), summer, night and continuing education schools.

How Are We Protecting Privacy?

Results for OnSIS and Statistics Canada variables are suppressed based on school population size to better protect student privacy. In order to achieve this additional level of protection, the Ministry has used a methodology that randomly rounds a percentage either up or down depending on school enrolment. In order to protect privacy, the ministry does not publicly report on data when there are fewer than 10 individuals represented.

In 2022, about 3.03 million students were enrolled in private elementary schools in the United States. This is significantly less than the 29.35 million students who were enrolled in public elementary schools in that year.

This dataset tracks annual total expenditure from 2018 to 2021 for Detroit Public Schools Community School District

Data on labor force activity for the week prior to the survey are supplied in this collection. Information is available on the employment status, occupation, and industry of persons 14 years old and over. Demographic variables such as age, sex, race, marital status, veteran status, household relationship, educational background, and Spanish origin are included. In addition to providing these core data, the October survey also contains a special supplement on school enrollment. This supplement includes the following items: current grade attending at public or private school, whether attending college full- or part-time at a two- or four-year institution, year last attended a regular school, and year graduated from high school.

This dataset includes enrollment data for Pittsburgh Public Schools. Data is presented by school, feeder pattern / attendance boundary, and by neighborhood. A table also includes data on the number of students attending schools by neighborhood. Data includes preschool students through 12th grade.

This data can be very useful in understanding neighborhood-level enrollment patterns, student demographics by neighborhood and school, and can also be used to inform school-community partnerships.

Students attending charter, private and parochial schools are not included in this data. Only students enrolled in a Pittsburgh Public School are captured.

Totals with fewer than 11 students have been redacted to adhere to School District privacy policies.

Data was extracted from the Pittsburgh Public Schools data system in January, 2021. It captures the school where the student was enrolled on October 1st. The neighborhood school the student feeds into based on their address as of the beginning of the 2020-21 school year.

The number of students starting in Ivy League schools for the Class of 2028 (those beginning in the Fall of 2024), varied from school to school. Cornell University had the largest Class of 2028 among the Ivy League schools, with ***** enrolled students.

The average for 2022 based on 126 countries was 94.03 percent. The highest value was in Finland: 144.85 percent and the lowest value was in Burkina Faso: 33.72 percent. The indicator is available from 1970 to 2023. Below is a chart for all countries where data are available.

The 2021/2022 school population concerns students who, in the territory of the municipality of Lecce, attend State and non-State nursery schools, primary secondary schools and secondary schools, both public and private. With regard to schools that have the school meals service, reference is made to those that use the municipal canteen service entrusted to an external company. Adults enrolled in the CPA are also included in the total school population.
