An academic journal or research journal is a periodical publication in which research articles relating to a particular academic discipline is published, according to Wikipedia. Currently, there are more than 25,000 peer-reviewed journals that are indexed in citation index databases such as Scopus and Web of Science. These indexes are ranked on the basis of various metrics such as CiteScore, H-index, etc. The metrics are calculated from yearly citation data of the journal. A lot of efforts are given to make a metric that reflects the journal's quality.

Journal Ranking Dataset

This is a comprehensive dataset on the academic journals coving their metadata information as well as citation, metrics, and ranking information. Detailed data on their subject area is also given in this dataset. The dataset is collected from the following indexing databases: - Scimago Journal Ranking - Scopus - Web of Science Master Journal List

The data is collected by scraping and then it was cleaned, details of which can be found in HERE.

The number of scientific publications by Russian authors indexed in SCOPUS exceeded 108,000 in 2023, having decreased from the previous year. To compare, in 2022, the figure was around 111,800.

This dataset provides information on Open Access (OA) journals listed in the ROAD (Directory of Open Access Scholarly Resources) and their presence in various indexing and reference databases, including Scopus, Web of Science (WoS), DOAJ, Sherpa, OpenAlex, and Top Factor. The data support analyses of the accessibility and indexing of OA journals across multiple scholarly platforms.

Data Structure

The dataset includes the following columns:

• leader: Unique identifier for the journal (e.g., ISSN or eISSN).
• iso3_code: ISO 3 code representing the country of the journal's publisher.
• issn: ISSN/EISSN identifier for the journal.
• field_981_a: The discipline of the journal.
• in_scopus: Binary flag (0/1) indicating whether the journal is indexed in Scopus.
• in_wos: Binary flag (0/1) indicating whether the journal is indexed in Web of Science (WoS).
• in_doaj: Binary flag (0/1) indicating whether the journal is listed in the Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ).
• in_sherpa: Binary flag (0/1) indicating whether the journal is listed in Sherpa Romeo.
• in_openalex: Binary flag (0/1) indicating whether the journal is listed in OpenAlex.

The research & publication dataset of IoT in Entrepreneurship was indexed by Scopus between 2005 to 2021. The dataset contains 1,075 documents data: authors, authors ID Scopus, title, year, source title, volume, issue, article number in Scopus, DOI, link, affiliation, abstract, index keywords, references, correspondence address, editors, publisher, conference name, conference date, conference code, ISSN, language, document type, access type, and EID

In this scholarly undertaking, the primary objective of the present study was to assess the prevalence of specific cinematic titles within the titles of scholarly papers indexed in the Scopus database. Delving into 11 titles extracted from the initial 20 entries of a curated list featuring the top 100 cinematic classics according to the "Rotten Tomatoes" website, an analysis was conducted in January 2024 to ascertain the frequency of their occurrence in the titles of the aforementioned academic papers.
