    Description

This entry contains code and data that was used in the publication: "Adoption of Transparency and Openness Promotion (TOP) guidelines across journals" submitted in Publications journal. #IDEA: This project was about analyzing policies of two thousand journals within the framework of eight TOP standards: data citation, transparency of data, material, code and design and analysis, replication, plan and study pre-registration, and two effective interventions: “Registered reports” and “Open science badges”. # MATERIALS & METHODS We downloaded the TOP Factor (v33, 2022-08-29 3:12 PM) metric from the https://osf.io/kgnva/files/osfstorage/5e13502257341901c3805317 website and analyzed its content with an in-house R script (in this repo): 1) SCRIPT: fig1_Analyzing_journals_policies_and_TOP_guidelines.R 2) SCRIPT: Figure2a_b_TOP_impl_journal_statistist_0_1_piechart_barplot.R In order to get statistics about implementation of the TOP guidelines across discipline-specific journals, we extracted information about journal’s disciplines from the Scopus content database. We downloaded SCOPUS content coverage from the https://www.elsevier.com/solutions/scopus/how-scopus-works/content?dgcid=RN_AGCM_Sourced_300005030 (existJuly2022.xlsx) and used the first Sheet. We identified match between those 2 tables: 3) SCRIPT: Rscript_overlapping_TOP_dataframe_and_SCOPUS_db.R And resulted in Overlap_SCOPUS_TOP.rds file And performed visualization and statistics: 4) SCRIPT: Fig_3_Tab2_Defining_science_disciplines_plus_plot.R #RESULTS Submitted to Publications 30.9.2022.

    Description

The United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) challenge the global community to build a world where no one is left behind.

Since 2018, Elsevier has generated SDG search queries to help researchers and institutions track and demonstrate progress toward the SDG targets. In the past 3 years, these queries, along with the university’s own data and evidence supporting progress and contributions to the particular SDG outside of research-based metrics, are used for the THE Impact Rankings.

For 2025, the SDGs use the exact same search query and ML algorithm as the Elsevier 2023 SDG mappings (https://elsevier.digitalcommonsdata.com/datasets/y2zyy9vwzy/1), with only minor modifications coming from changes to the search engine handling the SDG queries. Because of this, while the vast majority of publications retain their original mapping, the number of publications in each SDG has slightly changed.

All these changes were implemented to streamline how SDG queries are handled. Users should note that running these in Scopus should be done for reference purposes only, as the Scopus search engine behaves slightly differently than the classifier used to formerly tag SDGs to publications.

    Description

The organizational justice terminology has had a long journey to become one of the significant contributors to organizational success. Recently, an intense global upsurge in the use of organizational justice terms in publications has forced us for this bibliometric analysis in order to look at the overall publications on organizational justice. The objective of the current research is to advance knowledge about organizational justice research trends using Scopus database and bibliometric analysis research. The analysis was performed to see the publication trends between the years 1941 and 2018; it used authors, journals, countries, academic discipline, research institutes/universities, and various keywords related to organizational justice as search words. After careful consideration and using multiple checkpoints for eliminating irrelevant studies, 5,650 research articles were analyzed. In the realm of organizational justice, procedural justice was the most frequently occurred among other dimensions. Moreover, variables such as organizational trust, job satisfaction, organizational commitment, citizenship behavior, ethics, and turnover are major concepts that occurred within organizational justice research. Some variables with infrequent occurrences, along with future recommendations and study limitations, are also discussed.

Procedia Computer Science enables fast dissemination so conference delegates can publish their papers in a dedicated online issue on ScienceDirect, which is then made freely available worldwide. Conference proceedings are accepted for publication in Procedia Computer Science based on quality and are therefore required to meet certain criteria, including quality of the conference, relevance to an international audience and covering highly cited or timely topics. Procedia Computer Science will cover proceedings in all topics of Computer Science with the exception of certain workshops in Theoretical Computer Science, as our Electronic Notes in Theoretical Computer Science http://www.elsevier.com/locate/entcs are the primary outlet for these papers. The journal is indexed in Scopus, the largest abstract and citation database of peer-reviewed literature. Copyright information For authors publishing in Procedia Computer Science, accepted manuscript will be governed by CC BY-NC-ND. For further details see our copyright information. What does Procedia Computer Science offer authors and conferences organizers? Procedia Computer Science offers a single, highly recognized platform where conference papers can be hosted and accessed by millions of researchers. Authors then know where to go to keep abreast of the latest developments in their field, and get maximum exposure for their own work. All proceedings appear online, on Science Direct, within 8 weeks of acceptance of the final manuscripts via the conference organizer and are freely available to all users. To ensure discoverability and citability the final online papers are individually metadated, XML versions are optimized for search engines, references are linked, and DOI (Digital Object Identifier) numbers are added. Why should conference organizers choose Procedia Computer Science? Unlike regular printed conference publications, there is no practical limit to the amount of papers a Procedia Computer Science issue can contain and pricing is affordable, clear and transparent, offering organizers a state of the art platform for their conference in a cost effective and sustainable manner. Procedia Computer Science offers immediate access for all, with papers online within 8 weeks of acceptance, and free access providing maximum exposure for individual papers and the related conference. Conference delegates can thus access the papers from anywhere on the web during and post conference. Organizers are credited on the actual issue and are fully responsible for quality control, the review process and the content of individual conference papers. To assist conference organizers in the publication process templates (both Latex and Word) are provided. What is the process for submitting conference proceedings to Procedia Computer Science? Proposals should include a synopsis of why such a Procedia Computer Science issue will have an impact on its community, the (sub) fields covered, and an outline of the related conference (or conferences / satellite events) with links to the conference website and pervious proceedings where possible. Please include a tentative list of the steering committee / program committee, a short description of the conference peer review standards (acceptance rate, reviewer selection, etc) as well as estimates of number of conference delegates and number of papers to be accepted for publication. Proposals should be prepared using the template here Please note that we do not accept proposals from individual authors for Procedia titles. What are the costs associated with Procedia Computer Science? There is an agreed fee, based on the size of the proceedings, which includes online publication on ScienceDirect and free access after acceptance. In addition to the online version there is the possibility to purchase paper copies, CD-ROMs and USB sticks. Moreover, interactive media possibilities such as webcasts and web seminars can be acquired for extra exposure both before and after the conference. Can Procedia Computer Science be sponsored? We are open to discussing sponsoring possibilities at all times. Sponsors can include funding bodies, government agencies and/or industry. Benefits to sponsors include visibility amongst a scientific audience and the opportunity to communicate messages via a peer-reviewed platform. Benefits to authors and conference organizers are the further dissemination of material to an international audience and even more reduced costs to the overall conference budget. What more can Elsevier do to help computer science conference organizers? We are open to discuss even further collaboration, including but not limited to providing global organizational and administrative services, assisting with the setup of new multidisciplinary meetings. Area covered
    Caribbean, Latin America
    Description

Dataset from a study aiming to analyze the coverage of Latin American and Caribbean journals in Google Scholar Metrics (GSM). Data from 8,205 journals from 24 countries of the region were downloaded from Latindex database. A Python script was used for automated title search and data extraction (titles, h5-index, h5-median, URLs) in GSM. For the journals not found, a manual search was carried out, with attempts by variations of the title. It was found 3,070 journals indexed in GSM, which corresponds to 37.42% of the Latindex list. The search was performed on the 2021 edition of GSM, which considers articles published between 2016 and 2020 and citations registered until July 2021. The number of all types of documents published (productivity) in the h5-index period (2016-2020) in Scopus, Journal Citation Reports, and SciELO of 1,314 journals was also identified.

The present dataset is the result of this study, which is under peer-review in a scientific journal.

The dataset comprises titles, h5-index; h5-median, URLs of 3,070 publications from Latin America and the Caribbean identified in Google Scholar Metrics, and the respective editorial information of the publications was extracted from Latindex

The original language of the content was kept, mainly Spanish in the case of editorial data from Latindex. The columns descriptors are also shown in English.

The productivity data refer to the number of all types of documents published by the journals in the period 2016-2020. Data were extracted from the InCities Journal Citation Reports, Scopus, and SciELO Citation Index (Web of Science database).

In this version 2, only the productivity data were changed, covering a larger number of journals (1,314) and including all types of documents. Other data are the same as in the first version (https://doi.org/10.5281/zenodo.5572873).
