This dataset provides Census 2022 estimates for Household tenure by age of Household Reference Person in Scotland.
A person’s age on Census day (20 March 2022) calculated from their date of birth. Infants less than one year old are classed as being 0 years of age.
The concept of a Household Reference Person (HRP) was introduced in the 2001 Census (in common with other government surveys in 2001/2) to replace the traditional concept of the 'head of the household'. HRPs provide an individual person within a household to act as a reference point for producing further derived statistics and for characterising a whole household according to characteristics of the chosen reference person.
For a person living alone, it follows that this person is the HRP.
If a household contains only one family (with or without ungrouped individuals) then the HRP is the same as the Family Reference Person (FRP).
The Family Reference Person (FRP) is identified by criteria based on the family make up:
In a lone parent family it is taken to be the lone parent.
In a couple family, the FRP is chosen from the two people in the couple on the basis of their economic activity (in the priority order: full-time job, part-time job, unemployed, retired, other). If both people have the same economic activity, the FRP is identified as the elder of the two or, if they are the same age, the first member of the couple on the form.
If there is more than one family in a household the HRP is chosen from among the FRPs using the same criteria used to choose the FRP. This means the HRP will be selected from the FRPs on the basis of their economic activity, in the priority order:

Data presented here is an extract of data taken from the Annual School Meal Census in publicly funded schools in Scotland. The data shows the provision of school meals (including free school meals) for each school in the Glasgow local authority area. The dataset forms part of a time series and is available for the years 2003 through to 2014. Full datasets can be downloaded from The Scottish Government. The data is graduated to school level and data includes: the numbers on the school roll; counts of pupils entitled to free school meals; counts of pupils present on the day of the survey, counts of pupils taking a school meal (free or not) on the day of the survey; and counts of pupils taking a free school meal on the day of the survey. In order to protect the identity of pupils a * used in the dataset denotes the number of pupils is 4 or less (zero included) or where such a figure could be worked out. A * * used in the dataset denotes where the difference between the number of pupils on the register and pupils with FME is 4 or less. Some of the datasets also include information on breakfast clubs, the provision of fresh fruit and water and the anonymity of the free school meal application process. The second Scottish Church Census was carried out on May 11-12, 2002. Comparable studies have been conducted in Scotland in 1984 and 1994 and in England in 1979, 1989, 1998 and 2005. All were organized and led by Dr Peter Brierley, executive director of the organization Christian Research prior to his retirement in 2007.
The aim of the study was to ascertain the number and frequency of people attending church of all denominations in Scotland in 2002. Several denominational changes had taken place in Scotland since the last census in 1994 ("https://beta.ukdataservice.ac.uk/datacatalogue/studies/study?id=4395#!/details" Target="_blank">SN 4395) and 1984 ("https://beta.ukdataservice.ac.uk/datacatalogue/studies/study?id=2554" Target="_blank">SN 2554). Political changes, with the formation of the Scottish Parliament, had brought about boundary changes for many councils, by which church attendance was previously analyzed. A combination of denomination, political and population changes had necessitated a revision of church attendance. In particular the study was to evaluate if the age structure of churchgoers had altered over the past decade and to establish if the trend in decline in the number of young people attending Sunday worship in England was true of Scotland.
