Google is the undisputed leader of the global search market. Google held a nearly 82-percent share of the global desktop market in January 2024, as compared to Yandex's 2.4 percent. The share of desktop search traffic originating from Google is significantly lower in Yandex’s key market of Russia than it is in other parts of the world.
