    Description

This dataset was originally created in 2015 as a part of a stocktaking exercise initiated by the Integrated Digital Solutions (IDS) Group to present an inventory of all WBG investments including large ICT/e-Gov components for various sector reforms since 1995. The dataset includes the details of ICT investments in seven categories, and their mapping to four GovTech focus areas, together with the cost, duration, and outcome ratings of completed activities, in addition to key project data extracted from the WBG operations portal. The first version of the “DG Projects Database” including 1,100+ projects funded in 130+ countries was released publicly within the WBG Data Catalog in June 2015. There were several updates on the dataset since then (Aug 2017, Dec 2019, Jan 2020, and Jul 2020). The latest version (October 2022) presents the details of 1,449 projects funded in 147 countries. This dataset can be used by all practitoners involved in the design of digital government/GovTech activities to learn from relevant investments, search the contents of project documents (PAD, ICR, IEG review), and expand/customize the resulting data sets for various needs (operational support, project design, research, monitoring and quality assurance, training, etc.).

    Description

Activity Project Area NEPA represents an area (polygon) within which one or more activities related to the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) are aggregated or organized. The data comes from the Forest Service's Natural Resource Manager (NRM) Forest Activity Tracking System (FACTS), which is the agency standard for managing information about activities related to fire/fuels, silviculture, and invasive species. FACTS is an activity tracking application for all levels of the Forest Service. These data are a central source for project area boundaries for use in national information requests and cross unit analysis and makes the project area boundaries and their basic attributes more easily available to field units. It also provides public access to the data during project planning and implementation. Please note that this dataset is not complete and forests continue to improve the quality of the data over time.Metadata and DownloadsThis record was taken from the USDA Enterprise Data Inventory that feeds into the https://data.gov catalog. Description

The Food Safety Research Information Office (FSRIO) was created by the Agricultural Research, Extension and Education Reform Act of 1998 and was formally launched on July 2, 2001. FSRIO was established to support the research community by collecting, organizing, and disseminating food safety information. FSRIO's mission is to provide to the research community and the general public information on publicly funded, and to the maximum extent practicable, privately funded food safety research initiatives for the purpose of preventing unintended duplication of food safety research, and assisting the executive and legislative branches of the Federal Government and private research entities to assess food safety research needs and priorities. FSRIO works in cooperation with the National Institutes of Health, the Food and Drug Administration, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, public institutions, and, on a voluntary basis, private research interests. The Research Projects Database (RPD) provides current food safety research projects from both U.S. and international government, and non-government organizations. Users can search the full text of Active and Completed Projects, or browse by Category (Foodborne Disease; Microbial Contaminants; Policy and Planning; Microbial Toxins; Education and Training; Chemical Contaminants; Food Defense; Risk Assessment; Antimicrobial Resistance; Detection Methods), Commodity (Produce; Meat, Poultry, Game; Nuts, Seeds; Seafood; Dairy; Grains, Beans, Legumes; Eggs), or Funding Source (NIFA; FDA; ARS; NIAID; FSA; NSF; Euro Commiss; BBSRC; NCBA; NIEHS). Description

The USDA-ARS Southwest Watershed Research Center (SWRC) operates the Walnut Gulch Experimental Watershed (WGEW) in southeastern Arizona as an outdoor laboratory for studying semiarid rangeland hydrologic, ecosystem, climate, and erosion processes. Since its establishment in 1953, the SWRC in Tucson, Arizona, has collected, processed, managed, and disseminated high-resolution, spatially distributed hydrologic data in support of the center's mission. Data management at the SWRC has evolved through time in response to new computing, storage, and data access technologies. In 1996, the SWRC initiated a multiyear project to upgrade rainfall and runoff sensors and convert analog systems to digital electronic systems supported by data loggers. This conversion was coupled with radio telemetry to remotely transmit recorded data to a central computer, thus greatly reducing operational overhead by reducing labor, maintenance, and data processing time. A concurrent effort was initiated to improve access to SWRC data by creating a system based on a relational database supporting access to the data via the Internet. An SWRC team made up of scientists, IT specialists, programmers, hydrologic technicians, and instrumentation specialists was formed. This effort is termed the Southwest Watershed Research Center Data Access Project (DAP). The goal of the SWRC DAP is to efficiently disseminate data to researchers; land owners, users, and managers; and to the public. Primary access to the data is provided through a Web-based user interface. In addition, data can be accessed directly from within the SWRC network. The first priority for the DAP was to assimilate and make available rainfall and runoff data collected from two instrumented field sites, the WGEW near Tombstone, Arizona, and the Santa Rita Experimental Range (SRER) south of Tucson, Arizona. Resources in this dataset:Resource Title: Data Access Project. File Name: Web Page, url: https://www.tucson.ars.ag.gov/dap Datasets were provided by the USDA-ARS Southwest Watershed Research Center. Funding for these datasets was provided by the United States Department of Agriculture, Agricultural Research Service. Description

Contextualisation: Environmental assessment is used to formalise and improve the integration of the environment into public and private strategies, be it projects (industry, concerted planning area,...) or planning documents (local planning plan, master plan for water management, etc.). It is fully involved in the implementation of the Environmental Charter enshrined in the French Constitution: “Article 2 Everyone has a duty to take part in the preservation and improvement of the environment. Article 3 Every person must, under the conditions laid down by law, prevent damage to the environment or, failing that, limit its consequences. [...] Article 6 Public policies must promote sustainable development. To this end, they reconcile environmental protection and development, economic development and social progress. Article 7 Everyone shall have the right, subject to the conditions and limits laid down by law, to access environmental information held by public authorities and to participate in the preparation of public decisions affecting the environment.’ Description of the resource: The environmental impact assessment of projects, plans/programmes and planning documents shall be subject to the public opinion of a ‘competent environmental authority’: the environmental authority. The environmental authorities were created by Decree No. 2009-496 of 30 April 2009. Decree n°2016-519 of 28 April 2016 created the regional missions of environmental authority (MRAe). DRIEAT, as the regional department responsible for the environment, supports the various competent regional environmental authorities in carrying out their tasks (MRAe, prefects of departments until 2016, prefect of the region). This data package combines the resources “Projects” and “Plans and Programs” in Île-de-France. The L_AE_PRPP_NON_GEOL file is associated with these resources, which lists opinions and decisions on projects, plans and programmes that have not been geolocated in this version. Opinions and decisions may concern one or more municipalities, as such, this resource transcribed communal or multi-communal boundaries according to the number of municipalities concerned. This data is derived from the Garance platform acting as State monitoring support for the formalisation of opinions and decisions, which are also available on the website of the MRAE d’Île-de-France on the French regional perimeter.
