A "Simultaneous Conveyance" is the transfer of multiple properties using a single survey document. Examples of this are plats, short plats, condiminiums, etc. This data is part of a set of data called "Land Division - All". The "Simultaneous Conveyance" data contains the current aggregated highest-level formal land divisions (plats, short plats, large lots, etc). Meaning that the most recent "Simultaneous Conveyance" type is what is represented in this data. In other words, there are no overlapping "Simultaneous Conveyances" in this data, a newer "Simultaneous Conveyance" erases what was present before at that location. There are two data sets related to the "Simultaneous Conveyance" data: "SimCon First Division" and "SimCon Second Division". "SimCon First Division" contains the next level down of polygons within the "Simultaneous Conveyance". For example a plat that contained blocks and lots would only have its blocks in this data. A plat that contained lots and no blocks would have its lots in this data. "SimCon Second Division" contains the next level down of polygons within the "SimCon First Division" data. For example a plat that contained blocks and lots would have its lots in this data.Purpose:To show the current aggregated highest-level formal land divisions (plats, short plats, large lots, etc).

The data also shows historical data on completed formal plat development projects. The polygons are derived from the Pierce County ATR tax parcel dataset. The attribute information is derived from the Planning and Public Works PALS+ permitting system. This dataset is part of a group development projects referred to as the development engineering development data. The group includes; commercial, formal plats, short plats, large lots, mobile home parks, and other landuse.Purpose:This dataset is used by Planning and Public Works - Development Engineering to track the progress of formal plat development projects and to provide historical references to completed projects in Unincorporated Pierce County.

Notes on China 2000 and 2010 Population Census Data In order to guide you to use the data correctly, provide you some explanations as follows: (l) Census time: 0:00AM of November 1, 2000 and 2010 as the reference time for the census. (2) The 2000 and 2010 population census covered all persons who hold the nationality of, and have permanent residing place in the People's Republic of China. During the census, each person was enumerated in his/her permanent residing place. The following persons should be enumerated in their permanent residing place: a) Those who reside in the townships, towns and street communities and have their permanent household registration there. b) Those who have resided in the townships, towns and street communities for more than 6 months but the places of their permanent household registration are elsewhere. c) Those who have resided in the townships, towns and street communities for less than 6 months but have been away from the place of their permanent household registration for more than 6 months. d) Those who live in the townships, towns and street communities during the population census while the places of their household registration have not yet settled. e) Those who used to live in the townships, towns and street communities but are working or studying abroad during the census and have no Permanent household registration for the time being. (3) Two types of questionnaires (long form and short form) were used for the 2000 and 2010 population census. The short form contains items that reflect the basic situation of the population, while the long form include all short form items plus other items such as migration, education, economic activities, marriage and family, fertility , housing , etc. . According to the National Bureau of Statistics of China, the households for the Long Form survey were selected by a random sampling program. The data included in this product are from 100% Short Form survey.(4) Results in this publication are based on the processing of data directly from enumeration without any adjustment. It is therefore worthwhile to notice the following: a. Data in the publication do not include population not enumerated in the Census. b. Data in the publication do not include the servicemen of the People's Liberation Army. c. The post-enumeration sample survey indicates an undercount of 1.81% in 2000 Census and 0.12% in 2010 Census. III. Notes on the China Province GIS Maps for the 2000 and 2010 Population Census Data (1) The China Province GIS map were developed for the 2000 and 2010 population Census data, which covered all 31 municipalities, provinces and autonomous regions of China, except for Taiwan, Hong Kong and Macao. (2) The population data came from the 5th and 6th China Population Census surveyed in 2000 and 2010. The GIS data is based on the national digital map (1:1 million) developed by the National Geographic Information Center of China (NGCC), including rives, roads, residential area and administrative boundaries.(3) The China province GIS maps are developed for matching 2000 and 2010 China population Census data, which should only be used as references for research or education instead of used as official maps. The distributor is not responsible for the accuracy of the those maps if the maps are used for business or other purposes.

TwitterThe Office of the Assessor maintains assessment records of real and personal property in the County of Los Angeles. Many of these records are available for sale. The data is available in the form of CD-ROM, DVD, hardcopy, and on-line access. The Office of the Assessor also offers a GIS Tax Parcel Base Map.Some layers included (not an exhaustive list):parcel boundary map (shapefile format) local roll LA County wall map publicly owned parcels sales list unsecured roll and labels (for mailings) A discussion of parcel accuracy occasionally questions about the spatial accuracy of parcel information come up. In general, it is important to note that the parcels are for tax assessment purposes only, come from many sources, some historical, and are not necessarily survey grade. That said, they are in general extremely reliable.Here is a longer description from Emilio Solano, former Chief Cadastral Engineer of the Assessor Mapping and GIS Services:The very short answer is this: our data is in its majority accurate within a couple of feet, in other cases will not be so accurate.The issue of accuracy when applied to assessor’s data is very subjective. Our data is very accurate if we consider that all the information matches recorded information, we try our best to keep recent data as it was recorded, and older data gets slightly adjusted to match the most recent data. Another factor to consider is that about one third of the total number of new parcels created every year comes from deeds, not subdivision maps, that is, there is not, in the majority of the cases, any new survey data, more likely general descriptions of where the new boundaries should exist, or references to adjacent properties, even calls to documents recorded many years ago, referring to them just by the document number. In those cases we have to consider the intent of the owner when describing the property in the deed. Another couple of factors that have an impact in the accuracy of our data comes from the fact that we assembled this vast amount of information with digital data provided from at least a dozen of cities, Los Angeles, Long Beach, Torrance, etc. plus all the data gathered by the Los Angeles County Dept. Public Works in CAD format. We had to compile all that data, rectify it and adjusted as needed, always keeping in mind that the integrity of the data should be maintained by matching RECORDED information. Another factor is that the data was also coming from tens of thousands of individual recordings, it wasn’t as clean cut as when you look at a single subdivision, no matter how big, where every line is clearly identified by a bearing and a distance within a perfectly traced boundary. Our original data sources even go back as far as remainder pieces of land described by Spanish grants and ranchos, section land plus newer surveys.Even though we always input our data based on survey records using COGO tools, whenever possible, a lot of the data is not. Considering all that, our GIS layer is by far, the most accurate data set of its size available anywhere in the county, both in positional accuracy, and conformity to the information provided by legal sources. All that being said, the resulting fact is that, as mark mentioned, in some areas our data will be very accurate, in others it won’t. The most important thing to keep in mind is that given that our responsibility is to reflect property information as recorded, we do not use anything else as a guide, for example we never use an aerial image to change the position of a line just because it doesn’t fall on top of a fence shown on a photo; remember that many people build their fenced, especially the ones made out of concrete blocks, a couple of inches inside the property boundary because is difficult to dig a trench along an existing wooden or wire fence, now multiply those little variances spread out over a 4000+ square miles of land and you will get a picture of what we are up to.That’s why we continually try to stress in anybody using our data that, if they need total accuracy they will need to hire a surveyor to get it. Our 11 by 17 maps are our only official source of information and should only be used for assessment purposes, or in the case of other uses, just for information, to get an accurate idea of how close to the real location a line could be.
