    Description

The keyword rank tracking software market is experiencing robust growth, driven by the increasing reliance on SEO for online visibility and the evolving complexity of search engine algorithms. The market, estimated at $1.5 billion in 2025, is projected to maintain a healthy Compound Annual Growth Rate (CAGR) of 15% through 2033. This growth is fueled by several key factors. Firstly, businesses of all sizes are increasingly recognizing the critical role of organic search in driving website traffic and leads. Secondly, the ongoing evolution of search engine algorithms necessitates sophisticated tools capable of monitoring and analyzing rank fluctuations, enabling proactive optimization strategies. Thirdly, the market is witnessing innovation in functionality, with tools incorporating features like competitor analysis, keyword research integration, and advanced reporting capabilities, enhancing their value proposition. This is further supported by a highly competitive landscape populated by established players like SEMrush and Ahrefs alongside emerging niche solutions, fostering innovation and driving market expansion. However, the market also faces certain challenges. The high cost of advanced features in some premium solutions can be a barrier for smaller businesses. Furthermore, the ever-changing landscape of search engine algorithms requires continuous software updates and adaptation, demanding substantial resources from developers. Despite these hurdles, the market's growth trajectory remains positive, particularly propelled by the rising adoption of cloud-based solutions and an increasing demand for data-driven SEO strategies. Market segmentation reveals a strong preference for tools offering comprehensive features, robust reporting, and user-friendly interfaces. The geographical distribution of market share is expected to be relatively concentrated in regions like North America and Europe initially, with emerging markets gradually gaining traction in the coming years as digitalization accelerates.

    Description

The SCImago Institutions Rankings (SIR) is a classification of academic and research-related institutions ranked by a composite indicator that combines three different sets of indicators based on research performance, innovation outputs and societal impact measured by their web visibility. It provides a friendly interface that allows the visualization of any customized ranking from the combination of these three sets of indicators. Additionally, it is possible to compare the trends for individual indicators of up to six institutions. For each large sector it is also possible to obtain distribution charts of the different indicators. For comparative purposes, the value of the composite indicator has been set on a scale of 0 to 100. However the line graphs and bar graphs always represent ranks (lower is better, so the highest values are the worst).

    Description

This ranking report attempts to identify the best law school home pages based exclusively on objective criteria. The goal is to assess elements that make websites easier to use for sighted as well as visually-impaired users. Most elements require no special design skills, sophisticated technology or significant expenses. Ranking results in this report represent reasonably relevant elements. In this report, 200 ABA-accredited law school home pages are analyzed and ranked for twenty elements in three broad categories: Design Patterns & Metadata; Accessibility & Validation; and Marketing & Communications. As was the case in 2009, there is still no objective way to account for good taste. For interpreting these results, we don't try to decide if any whole is greater or less than the sum of its parts.

    Description

The Value Line Investment Survey is one of the oldest, continuously running investment advisory publications. Since 1955, the Survey has been published in multiple formats including print, loose-leaf, microfilm and microfiche. Data from 1997 to present is now available online. The Survey tracks 1700 stocks across 92 industry groups. It provides reported and projected measures of firm performance, proprietary rankings and analysis for each stock on a quarterly basis. DATA AVAILABLE FOR YEARS: 1980-1989 This dataset, a subset of the Survey covering the years 1980-1989 has been digitized from the microfiche collection available at the Dewey Library (FICHE HG 4501.V26). It is only available to MIT students and faculty for academic research. Published weekly, each edition of the Survey has the following three parts: Summary & Index: includes an alphabetical listing of all industries with their relative ranking and the page number for detailed industry analysis. It also includes an alphabetical listing of all stocks in the publication with references to their location in Part 3, Ratings & Reports. Selection & Opinion: contains the latest economic and stock market commentary and advice along with one or more pages of research on interesting stocks or industries, and a variety of pertinent economic and stock market statistics. It also includes three model stock portfolios. Ratings & Reports: This is the core of the Value Line Investment Survey. Preceded by an industry report, each one-page stock report within that industry includes Timeliness, Safety and Technical rankings, 3-to 5-year analyst forecasts for stock prices, income and balance sheet items, up to 17 years of historical data, and Value Line analysts’ commentaries. The report also contains stock price charts, quarterly sales, earnings, and dividend information. Publication Schedule: Each edition of the Survey covers around 130 stocks in seven to eight industries on a preset sequential schedule so that all 1700 stocks are analyzed once every 13 weeks or each quarter. All editions are numbered 1-13 within each quarter. For example, in 1980, reports for Chrysler appear in edition 1 of each quarter on the following dates: January 4, 1980 – page 132 April 4, 1980 – page 133 July 4, 1980 – page 133 October 1, 1980 – page 133 Reports for Coca-Cola were published in edition 10 of each quarter on: March 7, 1980 – page 1514 June 6, 1980 – page 1518 Sept. 5, 1980 – page 1517 Dec. 5, 1980 – page 1548 Any significant news affecting a stock between quarters is covered in the supplementary reports that appear at the end of part 3, Ratings & Reports. File format: Digitized files within this dataset are in PDF format and are arranged by publication date within each compressed annual folder. How to Consult the Value Line Investment Survey: To find reports on a particular stock, consult the alphabetical listing of stocks in the Summary & Index part of the relevant weekly edition. Look for the page number just to the left of the company name and then use the table below to identify the edition where that page number appears. All editions within a given quarter are numbered 1-13 and follow equally sized page ranges for stock reports. The table provides page ranges for stock reports within editions 1-13 of 1980 Q1. It can be used to identify edition and page numbers for any quarter within a given year. Ratings & Reports Edition Pub. Date Pages 1 04-Jan-80 100-242 2 11-Jan-80 250-392 3 18-Jan-80 400-542 4 25-Jan-80 550-692 5 01-Feb-80 700-842 6 08-Feb-80 850-992 7 15-Feb-80 1000-1142 8 22-Feb-80 1150-1292 9 29-Feb-80 1300-1442 10 07-Mar-80 1450-1592 11 14-Mar-80 1600-1742 12 21-Mar-80 1750-1908 13 28-Mar-80 2000-2142 Another way to navigate to the Ratings & Reports part of an edition would be to look around page 50 within the PDF document. Note that the page numbers of the PDF will not match those within the publication.

Datasets resulting from the Northland Potential Ecosystem report by Nick Singers (Singers & Rogers publication) and Ecosystem Prioritisation and Rarity by John Leathwick. Summaries of each dataset below

    Potential Ecosystems:
The ecosystem classification used to map potential ecosystems of Northland was developed by the Department of Conservation, as a tool for prioritising ecosystem management (Singers & Rogers 2014). This classification is a synthesis that amalgamates previous classifications and ecological studies aligned to an abiotic framework. It describes a full range of ecosystem types at a variety of scales in an approximation of the natural or potential state as they would have been observed if people arrived today in New Zealand. The classification system has two tables that describe ecosystem drivers of the abiotic environment (Singers and Rogers 2014) and biotic compositional description, which further includes ecosystem distribution and relevant source references (Singers and Rogers 2014). The data contained within these two tables have been used as the fundamental basis for mapping ecosystem types, supported by other readily available ecological descriptions, vegetation maps and relevant GIS layers such as soil maps of the Northland Region.

    Ecosystem Rarity:
This layer consists of the intersection between the primary (see note below) ecosystem cover (as identified in the report ‘Indigenous Biodiversity Ranking for the Northland Region by J. R. Leathwick 2018) and the Northland Potential Ecosystem mapping (as identified in the report ‘A potential ecosystem map for the Northland Region: Explanatory information to accompany the map. Prepared for Northland Regional Council. © Nicholas Singers Ecological Solutions Ltd. NSES Ltd Report 12:2018/2019, June 2018.’

Northland Biodiversity Ranking - Lake Ranks:
Rankings of Lakes derived from a ranking analysis of indigenous-dominated terrestrial and freshwater ecosystems for the Northland Region.

Northland Biodiversity Ranking - River Ranks:
Rankings of rivers and streams derived from a ranking analysis of indigenous-dominated terrestrial and freshwater ecosystems for the Northland Region.

Northland Biodiversity Ranking - Terrestrial Top 30 Sites:
Delineation of the high priority terrestrial sites comprising 30% of the surviving indigenous-dominated ecosystems (or 10.6 % of the Northland Region) as identified in the ranking of terrestrial ecosystem areas derived from a ranking analysis of indigenous-dominated terrestrial ecosystems for the Northland Region.

Northland Biodiversity Ranking - Terrestrial Top 30 Sites Additional 5:
Delineation of the top 5 % of additional sites that would potentially make the largest additional gains assuming management is applied to the top 30% of sites as identified in the ranking of terrestrial ecosystem areas derived from a ranking analysis of indigenous-dominated terrestrial ecosystems for the Northland Region.

    Description

The SEO software market is experiencing robust growth, driven by the increasing reliance on digital marketing and the ever-evolving search engine algorithms. Between 2019 and 2024, the market likely saw significant expansion, considering the rising demand for tools that improve website visibility and organic search rankings. Key factors contributing to this growth include the increasing complexity of SEO strategies, the need for data-driven decision-making in digital marketing, and the growing adoption of SEO best practices across various industries. The market is segmented by software functionalities (keyword research, rank tracking, site audits, backlink analysis, etc.), pricing models (subscription-based, one-time purchase), and target user (small businesses, agencies, enterprises). Leading players like Moz, Semrush, Ahrefs, and others continuously innovate, adding features like AI-powered insights and enhanced reporting capabilities to cater to the evolving needs of their users. Looking ahead, the period between 2025 and 2033 is projected to witness sustained growth, albeit at a potentially slightly moderated CAGR compared to the previous period. This projection is based on the continuous advancement of search engine algorithms, the ongoing need for businesses to optimize their online presence, and the potential for further market consolidation as smaller players face competition from established industry leaders. Continued innovation in areas such as AI-driven SEO tools, integration with other marketing platforms, and more sophisticated data analytics capabilities are likely to be key drivers of future market expansion. However, potential restraints could include the rising cost of advanced SEO tools and the need for specialized expertise to effectively utilize the sophisticated features offered by these platforms. The market’s geographical distribution is expected to remain diversified, with North America and Europe continuing to hold significant shares, driven by high digital marketing adoption rates and the presence of major market players.

To measure the rank and respective trends, we initially gathered data from the five most recent American Community Survey (ACS) 5-Year Estimates. We then analyzed and categorized the data for each of the racial categories identified by the U.S. Census Bureau. Based on the required racial category classification, we calculated the rank. For geographies with no population reported for the chosen race, we did not assign a rank and excluded them from the list. It is possible that a small population exists but was not reported or captured due to limitations or variations in Census data collection and reporting. We ensured that the population estimates used in this dataset pertain exclusively to the identified racial categories and do not rely on any ethnicity classification, unless explicitly required. For further information regarding these estimates, please feel free to reach out to us via email at research@neilsberg.com.

    Description

ContextResearch-oriented cancer hospitals in the United States treat and study patients with a range of diseases. Measures of disease specific research productivity, and comparison to overall productivity, are currently lacking.HypothesisDifferent institutions are specialized in research of particular diseases.ObjectiveTo report disease specific productivity of American cancer hospitals, and propose a summary measure.MethodWe conducted a retrospective observational survey of the 50 highest ranked cancer hospitals in the 2013 US News and World Report rankings. We performed an automated search of PubMed and Clinicaltrials.gov for published reports and registrations of clinical trials (respectively) addressing specific cancers between 2008 and 2013. We calculated the summed impact factor for the publications. We generated a summary measure of productivity based on the number of Phase II clinical trials registered and the impact factor of Phase II clinical trials published for each institution and disease pair. We generated rankings based on this summary measure.ResultsWe identified 6076 registered trials and 6516 published trials with a combined impact factor of 44280.4, involving 32 different diseases over the 50 institutions. Using a summary measure based on registered and published clinical trails, we ranked institutions in specific diseases. As expected, different institutions were highly ranked in disease-specific productivity for different diseases. 43 institutions appeared in the top 10 ranks for at least 1 disease (vs 10 in the overall list), while 6 different institutions were ranked number 1 in at least 1 disease (vs 1 in the overall list).ConclusionResearch productivity varies considerably among the sample. Overall cancer productivity conceals great variation between diseases. Disease specific rankings identify sites of high academic productivity, which may be of interest to physicians, patients and researchers.

    Description

Objective: To determine the top 100-ranked (by impact factor) clinical journals' policies toward publishing research previously published on preprint servers (preprints).

Design: Cross sectional. Main outcome measures: Editorial guidelines toward preprints, journal rank by impact factor.

Results: 86 (86%) of the journals examined will consider papers previously published as preprints (preprints), 13 (13%) determine their decision on a case-by-case basis, and 1 (1%) does not allow preprints.

Conclusions: We found wide acceptance of publishing preprints in the clinical research community, although researchers may still face uncertainty that their preprints will be accepted by all of their target journals.

Methods We examined journal policies of the 100 top-ranked clinical journals using the 2018 impact factors as reported by InCites Journal Citation Reports (JCR). First, we examined all journals with an impact factor greater than 5, and then we manually screened by title and category do identify the first 100 clinical journals. We included only those that publish original research. Next, we checked each journal's editorial policy on preprints. We examined, in order, the journal website, the publisher website, the Transpose Database, and the first 10 pages of a Google search with the journal name and the term "preprint." We classified each journal's policy, as shown in this dataset, as allowing preprints, determining based on preprint status on a case-by-case basis, and not allowing any preprints. We collected data on April 23, 2020.

    Description

Data of investigation published in the article "Ranking by relevance and citation counts, a comparative study: Google Scholar, Microsoft Academic, WoS and Scopus".

    Abstract of the article:

Search engine optimization (SEO) constitutes the set of methods designed to increase the visibility of, and the number of visits to, a web page by means of its ranking on the search engine results pages. Recently, SEO has also been applied to academic databases and search engines, in a trend that is in constant growth. This new approach, known as academic SEO (ASEO), has generated a field of study with considerable future growth potential due to the impact of open science. The study reported here forms part of this new field of analysis. The ranking of results is a key aspect in any information system since it determines the way in which these results are presented to the user. The aim of this study is to analyse and compare the relevance ranking algorithms employed by various academic platforms to identify the importance of citations received in their algorithms. Specifically, we analyse two search engines and two bibliographic databases: Google Scholar and Microsoft Academic, on the one hand, and Web of Science and Scopus, on the other. A reverse engineering methodology is employed based on the statistical analysis of Spearman’s correlation coefficients. The results indicate that the ranking algorithms used by Google Scholar and Microsoft are the two that are most heavily influenced by citations received. Indeed, citation counts are clearly the main SEO factor in these academic search engines. An unexpected finding is that, at certain points in time, WoS used citations received as a key ranking factor, despite the fact that WoS support documents claim this factor does not intervene.
