This dataset provides data at the national level from federal fiscal year 2006 onwards for the accuracy of the assignment of Social Security numbers (SSN) based on an end-of line sample review of transactions that result in the release of SSN cards.

This dataset contains information about the number and percent of Social Security Administration employees according to categories based on year of birth called generations.

Includes information about the claims for Social Security and/or Medicare benefits like Retirement and Survivor Insurance (RSI), Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI), Supplemental Security Income (SSI) for aged population (65 years old and over), blind or with other disability and the Medicare financial support for persons with End-Stage Renal Disease (ESRD). The dataset also covers Social Security Administration services like disability determination and telephone interpreter services.

The dataset includes fiscal year data for initial claims for SSA disability benefits that were referred to a state agency for a disability determination. Specific data elements for each year and state include receipts, determinations, eligible population, and favorable determination rates.

The data (name, year of birth, sex, and number) are from a 100 percent sample of Social Security card applications for 1998 on.

Specific data elements for each state are receipts, end of month pending counts, decisions, and the number of decisions which were allowances.

The New Beneficiary Survey collected information from recent recipients of Social Security benefits and their spouses and from persons aged 65 and older who were entitled to Medicare benefits but had not yet received Social Security benefits. These data cover demographic characteristics of the respondent, spouse, and other persons in the household, as well as employment history, health information, and current income of the respondent and spouse for the three months preceding the interview. Survey responses were linked with data on benefit status from the Social Security Administration's Master Beneficiary Record. Imputation was used to compensate for nonresponse in a set of income-related items. In addition, data are provided in Part 2 on covered earnings and quarters from 1951-1985.
