    Description

    This dataset contains facilities that were designed specifically with sports in mind. These facilities are not the only places within parks where sports can be played. This layer contains all of the facilities that can be permitted for athletic activity and facilities that are specifically designated for sports but are not available for permitting.

    This information is used by the Citywide Event Management System (CEMS) to book permits for Parks' athletic facilities. More information about athletic facility permits can be viewed at https://www.nycgovparks.org/permits/

    This dataset uses the standard NYC projection of NAD_1983_StatePlane_New_York_Long_Island_FIPS_3104_Feet. Lengths are in feet and areas in square feet.

    Description

    Sport DB 2.0 is a collection of 168 cardiorespiratory datasets, acquired through wearable sensors and portable devices from 130 subjects while practicing 11 different sports during training and competition. Each dataset consists of demographic data (sex, age, weight, height, smoking habit, alcohol consumption, caffeine consumption, weekly training rate, presence of diseases and dietary supplement consumption), cardiorespiratory signals (electrocardiogram, heart-rate series, RR-interval series, and/or breathing-rate series), and training note data (sport-dependent training protocol). Cardiorespiratory signals were acquired through the BioHarness 3.0 by Zephyr, the KardiaMobile by AliveCor, the Kardia 6L by AliveCor, the Polar M400 by Polar, and heart-rate sensor H7 by Polar, on the playing field or gym following a specific acquisition protocol for each sport. Sport DB 2.0 may be useful to support research activity finalized to investigate the cardiorespiratory pathophysiological mechanisms triggered by sport, to develop automatic algorithms for monitoring athletes’ health while practicing sports, to validate the reliability of wearable sensors and portable devices in sport, and to develop data analytics techniques and artificial intelligence applications to support sport sciences.

    This dictionary was produced within the French national project EuRADic (European and Arabic Dictionaries and Corpora), as part of the Technolangue programme funded by the French Ministry of Industry. A needs study in the field of sport terminology, which covered an overall category of users, led to a partial restructuring of an already existing database (English-French) and a re-evaluation of options. All choices were based on the results of this needs study, which clearly highlighted the impact of open corpora (Internet) and exploration tools for the production of dictionaries as well as for the carrying out of terminography activity. The existing database (English-French) was subject to a systematic revision and updating with the following purposes:•Spell checking•Term production verificationThe principles of terminology unit production were modified according to current technical progress. Description

This dataset contains facilities that were designed specifically with sports in mind. These facilities are not the only places within parks where sports can be played. This layer contains all of the facilities that can be permitted for athletic activity and facilities that are specifically designated for sports but are not available for permitting.

This information is used by the Citywide Event Management System (CEMS) to book permits for Parks' athletic facilities. More information about athletic facility permits can be viewed at https://www.nycgovparks.org/permits/

This dataset uses the standard NYC projection of NAD_1983_StatePlane_New_York_Long_Island_FIPS_3104_Feet. Lengths are in feet and areas in square feet.
