The Database of Labor Markets and Social Security Information System (SIMS) is the most important source of information about jobs and pensions in Latin America and the Caribbean. It encompasses harmonized statistics of 25 countries in the region, assuring the comparability of the indicators among them and also over time. The dataset includes data since 1990 and it presents 72 main indicators, which can be broken down by age group, gender, zone, level of education and other. The SIMS contains information in 6 broad categories: population, employment, unemployment, income, social security and poverty. This database seeks to contribute to public policies design based on evidence to strengthen the development of the region.

This data set is a digital archive of images acquired by the Viking Orbiter 1 and 2 spacecraft. The archive will include the best available Experiment Data Record (EDR) versions of images acquired by the Viking Orbiter Visual Imaging Subsystems (VIS). The archive is stored on compact read-only optical disk media (CD-ROM) for distribution. The EDR image data are stored on CD-ROM in a compressed format that allows exact reconstruction of the original image. The images were compressed in order to reduce the number of CD-ROMs required for the archive. The average Viking Orbiter image is compressed by a factor of about 3.5. Each CD-ROM in the archive also includes documentation about the organization and contents of the disk. Software is included to provide programmers with tools to decompress image files. The CD-ROM has index files containing information about all the images stored in the archive. These index files can be loaded into a database management system to help the user locate images of interest.

See the included LICENSE.txt and README.md files for details. Details:The Numerical Identification Files (NUMIDENT), 1936–2007, series contains records for every Social Security number (SSN) assigned to individuals with a verified death or who would have been over 110 years old by December 31, 2007. There are three types of entries in NUMIDENT: application (SS-5), claim, and death records. A NUMIDENT record may contain more than one entry. Information contained in NUMIDENT records includes: each applicant's full name, SSN, date of birth, place of birth, citizenship, sex, father's name, mother's maiden name, and race/ethnic description (optional). NUMIDENT includes information regarding any subsequent changes made to the applicant's record, including name changes and life or death claims. The death records in NUMIDENT do not include any State reported deaths in accordance with the Social Security Act section 205(r). There are 72,182,729 SS-5 records entries; 25,230,486 claim record entries; and 49,459,293 death record entries.See https://catalog.archives.gov/id/12004494 for more information.Related Data:Visit the CenSoc Project for public micro datasets linked to NUMIDENT: https://censoc.berkeley.edu/.

TwitterNARSTO_EPA_SS_PITTSBURGH_MET_DATA is the North American Research Strategy for Tropospheric Ozone (NARSTO) Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Supersite (SS) Pittsburgh Meteorological Data product. It was obtained between July 1, 2001 and November 1, 2002 during the Pittsburgh Supersite Program. Ambient monitoring at the central super site and a set of satellite sites in the Pittsburgh region included numerous meteorological measurements. Meteorological parameters measured during the sampling period included temperature, relative humidity, precipitation, wind speed and direction, UV intensity, and solar intensity. The Pittsburgh Super Site Program was a comprehensive, multi-disciplinary investigation to characterize the ambient Particulate Matter (PM) in the Pittsburgh region, to improve understanding the links between ambient PM and public health, and to develop new instrumentation for PM measurements. The central super site was located next to the Carnegie Mellon University campus near downtown Pittsburgh. Five additional sites served as Satellite sites. The measurement campaign lasted for 18 months (May 2001-October 2002). The specific objectives were to: Characterize the PM with regard to size, surface, and volume distribution; chemical composition as a function of size and on a single particle basis; temporal and spatial variability. Develop and evaluate the current and next generation atmospheric aerosol monitoring techniques including single particle measurements, continuous measurements, ultra-fine aerosol measurements, improved organic component characterization, and others. Quantify the impact of the various sources of PM concentrations in the area including transportation, power plants, natural, etc. Combine the ambient monitoring study with the proposed indoor, health, and modeling studies to elucidate of the links between PM characteristics and their health impacts in this area. The EPA PM Super sites Program was an ambient air monitoring research program from 1999-2004 designed to provide information of value to the atmospheric sciences, and human health and exposure research communities. Eight geographically diverse projects were chosen to specifically address these EPA research priorities: (1) to characterize PM, its constituents, precursors, co-pollutants, atmospheric transport, and its source categories that affect the PM in any region; (2) to address the research questions and scientific uncertainties about PM source-receptor and exposure-health effects relationships; and (3) to compare and evaluate different methods of characterizing PM including testing new and emerging measurement methods. NARSTO, which has since disbanded, was a public/private partnership, whose membership spanned across government, utilities, industry, and academe throughout Mexico, the United States, and Canada. The primary mission was to coordinate and enhance policy-relevant scientific research and assessment of tropospheric pollution behavior; activities provide input for science-based decision-making and determination of workable, efficient, and effective strategies for local and regional air-pollution management. Data products from local, regional, and international monitoring and research programs are still available.

The Juno Waves calibrated full resolution survey data set includes all low rate science electric spectral densities from 50Hz to 41MHz and magnetic spectral densities from 50Hz to 20kHz with complete sweeps at 30, 10 and 1 second intervals depending on the instrument mode. This is a complete full resolution data set containing all low rate science data received from Waves from launch until the end of mission including initial checkout, the Earth flyby, the Jupiter orbits and all cruise data. Data are acquired from the Waves Low Frequency Receiver (LFR) and High Frequency Receiver (HFR) and are processed into spectra on board. These data are presented as ASCII text spreadsheets for ease of use. This data set is intended to be the most comprehensive and complete data set included in the Juno Waves archive. Pre-rendered spectrograms generated from these data are included as well to lead the user to the particular data file(s) of interest. This data set should be among the first used of any in the Waves archive as it will lead one to the information required to locate more detailed products.
