[Metadata] Description: TMK Parcels for the State of Hawaii - 2024; specific dates vary by county.Sources: County of Hawaii: 5/2/24; County of Maui: 5/2/24; City and County of Honolulu: 5/2/24; County of Kauai: 5/15/24. Hawaii Statewide GIS Program projected to a common projection/datum (UTM Zone 4, NAD 83 HARN) and merged all counties parcel data into one layer. Where necessary, the State standardized field names or added fields to the county layers such as creating text fields for corresponding numeric tmk fields, etc., and / or calculated values for fields such as links to qpublic9.qpublic.net websites showing additional information for each parcel. The parcel boundaries are intended to provide a visual reference only and do not represent legal or survey level accuracy. Attributes are for assessment purposes only and are subject to change at any time. Description

[Metadata] This feature class represents the special soil features that are delineated as one or more points. Downloaded statewide dataset from USDA/NRCS (https://www.nrcs.usda.gov/resources/data-and-reports/gridded-soil-survey-geographic-gssurgo-database) 11/28/23. It is generally the most detailed level of soil geographic data developed by the National Cooperative Soil Survey. The information was prepared by digitizing maps, by compiling information onto a planimetric correct base and digitizing, or by revising digitized maps using remotely sensed and other information. This layer displays the location of features too small to delineate at the mapping scale, but they are large enough and contrasting enough to significantly influence use and management. The features are linked to attributes in the featdesc attribute table. The map data are in a state-wide extent format.

[Metadata] Description: Land Use Land Cover of main Hawaiian Islands as of 1976

Source: 1:100,000 1976 Digital GIRAS (Geographic Information Retrieval and Analysis) files.

Land Use and Land Cover (LULC) data consists of historical land use and land cover classification data that was based primarily on the manual interpretation of 1970's and 1980's aerial photography. Secondary sources included land use maps and surveys. There are 21 possible categories of cover type. The spatial resolution for all LULC files will depend on the format and feature type. Files in GIRAS format will have a minimum polygon area of 10 acres (4 hectares) with a minimum width of 660 feet (200 meters) for manmade features. Non-urban or natural features have a minimum polygon area of 40 acres (16 hectares) with a minimum width of 1320 feet (400 meters). Files in CTG format will have a resolution of 30 meters.

May 2024: Hawaii Statewide GIS Program staff removed extraneous fields that had been added as part of the 2016 GIS database conversion and were no longer needed.

[Metadata] Description: Hawaii State House District Boundaries as adopted by the State of Hawaii Reapportionment Commission in 2001 Sources: Hawaii Reapportionment Commission; Hawaii State Office of Elections.NOTE: In January 2022, the Statewide GIS Program was informed that the data provided for the 1991 and 2001 State House and Senate Districts had been switched – that is, the districts labeled as 1991 were actually 2001 districts, and the districts labeled as 2001 were actually 1991 districts. The error was corrected in the State GIS database, in ArcGIS Online, and in the State GIS geoportal in January/February 2022. The districts depicted are now correct. For more information on data sources and methodologies used, please see complete metadata at https://files.hawaii.gov/dbedt/op/gis/data/legislative_districts_2001.pdf or contact the Hawaii Statewide GIS Program, Office of Planning and Sustainable Development, State of Hawaii; PO Box 2359, Honolulu, Hi. 96804; (808) 587-2846; email: gis@hawaii.gov; Website: https://planning.hawaii.gov/gis.

Description

For more information, please refer to metadata at https://files.hawaii.gov/dbedt/op/gis/data/tmk_state.pdf or contact Hawaii Statewide GIS Program, Office of Planning and Sustainable Development, State of Hawaii; PO Box 2359, Honolulu, Hi. 96804; (808) 587-2846; email: gis@hawaii.gov; Website:https://planning.hawaii.gov/gis.
