It includes region and location information, responsible agency, project description, funding and costs (in millions) information, and project phase/status.
As part of the MPO's urban transportation planning process, the Transportation Improvement Program (TIP) addresses federal regulations administered by the United States Department of Transportation. The TIP is a four-year financially constrained list of transportation projects that approved for federal and state funding by the MPO Transportation Policy Board. The TIP is updated every two years and amended quarterly. The current TIP covers FY 2019 to FY 2022 and includes roadway, transit, bicycle, pedestrian and rideshare projects that will be let to contract over the next four years. The FY 2019-2022 TIP was adopted by the Transportation Policy Board (TPB) on April 22, 2019. On January 25, 2021, the TPB adopted the FY 2021-2024 TIP, which is now under review for transportation conformity by State and Federal partners.
The Transportation Improvement Program (TIP) is a 4-year financial program that describes the schedule for obligating federal funds to state and local projects. The TIP is a federal obligation document which describes the planned schedule in the next four years for distributing federal, state and local funds for state and local transportation projects. The TIP represents an agency’s intent to construct or implement specific projects in the short term and identifies the anticipated flow of federal funds and matching state or local contributions. It is a multimodal list of projects that includes highway projects, rail, bus and streetcar projects, and bicycle and pedestrian improvements. It also includes roadway and transit maintenance projects, operational programs, and many other transportation-related. State, regional and local transportation agencies update the program every two years to reflect priority projects in the Visualize 2045 long-range plan as approved and amended. The FY 2023-2026 TIP was adopted by the TPB on June 15, 2022. Since that time, it has been amended and modified on a monthly basis. For the latest version of the TIP with updated funding, please visit the Project InfoTrak TIP Database. activities.

State Grants in the Current Fiscal Year for Capital Projects Not Included in the Consolidated Transportation Program. Updated annually.
As required by federal regulations, the STIP outlines transportation projects that either utilize federal funds or require approval from the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) or the Federal Transit Administration (FTA). This four-year plan identifies significant transportation projects across the state.
The Transportation Improvement Program (TIP) describes all proposed federally-funded transportation projects within the Twin Cities metropolitan planning organization (MPO) area. Data is published annually after the Final TIP is approved (usually in the fall).
As a Metropolitan Planning Organization, the Metropolitan Council is federally required to prepare the TIP as a short-range program that complements its long-range transportation plan. The TIP is prepared in coordination with the Minnesota Department of Transportation (MnDOT) State Transportation Improvement Program.
The Transportation Improvement Program dataset includes 4 data pieces.
Two geographic files for project location (note there is no overlap between these two, projects fall into one or the other)-
- TIPfinalPoint: Projects as points - Centralized project work at one or multiple defined locations or at generalized center of project work scope (ex: intersection improvements at intersection of roads A and B).
- TIPfinalLine: Projects as lines - Linear project work along a feature's length (ex: road X reconstruction from point A to point B).
Two Tables-
- TIPfinalUnmapped: List of projects not mapped due to broad or generalized project location.
- TIPfinalFullTable: Full list of TIP projects for the Final 2025-2028 TIP. This should include all the projects from Points, Lines, and Unmapped table .
Geographic TIP data was created using project descriptions and did not use engineering level data. This data should be used for regional scale planning and visualization purposes. It is not intended for site specific applications. Project extents are correct to staff knowledge but are subject to change based on project plans and TIP amendments.
More information on the TIP can be found at the Met Council's website: https://metrocouncil.org/TIP.aspx
This data set contains DOT construction project information. The data is refreshed nightly from multiple data sources, therefore the data becomes stale rather quickly.

This dataset contains all data used for the study "Characterizing Transportation Research Funding Priorities: Implications for Departments of Transportation in the U.S."
"1 Original Data from RH.csv" contains all project data of U.S. DOT administrations collected from the U.S. DOT Research Hub. "2 Cleaned RH Data for Topic Modeling.csv" contains the cleaned data of U.S. DOT administrations according to the criterion in the paper. "3 Original Data from TRID.csv" contains all project data of state DOTs collected from the TRID. "4 Cleaned TRID Data for Topic Modeling.csv" contains the cleaned data of state DOTs collected from the TRID. "5 Supplemental Data from Certain State DOTs.csv" contains all project data shared by state DOTs that responded to the authors. "6 Combined Data for Topic Modeling.csv" contains all project data used for the topic modeling in the paper. "7 Original UTC Data from TRID.csv" contains all UTC project data collected from the TRID.
The spatial data set provides a guide to major transportation improvements planned in the State of New Jersey for roads and bridges. Line features and extensive attributes locate and characterize projects in the Statewide Transportation Infrastructure Program. The data are stored as a line feature class in an enterprise geodatabase and published as an ArcGIS Online Feature Layer. The Program includes plans for ten years, but the plan and this data set are valid only for two years.

This is the project data from the draft TIP 2021-2024 report. It represents data from the time of publication only and not subsequent amendments. There is a point for each project. There is a line for projects with easily defined limits, such as highway projects. Intersections and transit stations are only depicted as points. The Baltimore Region Transportation Improvement Program (TIP) documents the anticipated timing, cost, and rationale for federally-funded transportation improvements to be made in the Baltimore region over the next four years. It is a program of specific projects, not a plan. In accordance with federal guidelines, the TIP is a translation of recommendations from the long-range transportation plan for the Baltimore region into a short-term program of improvements. This includes specific capacity improvements that have been identified in the long-range plan, as well as system preservation projects and operational initiatives that are supported in the plan but have not been previously detailed. As such, the TIP ensures consistency between plan recommendations and project implementation in the region. The Transportation Improvement Program (TIP) lists all federally funded projects and regionally significant, non-federally funded projects programmed for implementation in the next four years. It includes approximately $4.3 billion in proposed federal, state and local money for highway, transit, bicycle and pedestrian projects. The TIP helps establish a transportation program that implements the goals of Maximize2045, the Baltimore region’s long-range transportation plan. There are numerous projects in the TIP that are not location specific and thus do not appear on this map. These projects include items such as SHA area-wide improvements, MTA rolling stock and infrastructure improvements, Baltimore citywide projects, and county bridge inspection projects. More information on the TIP and these projects is available on the 2021-2024 TIP webpage. If you have any questions, contact Mara Kaminowitz at mkaminowitz@baltometro.org.Each TIP project list is superseded by the next year's report. There also may be amendments throughout the year which are not reflected in the GIS data. If there is a discrepancy, the most recent approved and published report is the authoritative source. This database categorizes 91 projects using nature-based solutions (NBS) in riverine environments across the United States. These 91 projects were identified in a non-exhaustive search of Federal, State, local, and other publicly available documentation. Eight publicly available reports and websites collectively described 45 projects, while the remaining projects were sourced from individual websites or articles that described one or two projects each. For each project, we identified the following: NBS strategy or strategies implemented, total cost, year implemented, project size, and project city and state. Here, project size refers to the stream length in feet influenced by the project. For some projects, details such as project cost and project size were not recorded in publicly available documents and reports.
