    Description

In 2023, there were an estimated 1.03 million cases of chlamydia among women in the United States and around 610,445 cases among men. Furthermore, that year, there were around 378,428 cases of gonorrhea among men and 221,176 cases among women. Despite the dangers of sexually transmitted diseases (STDs) being more commonplace and testing and contraception, for the most part, widely accessible in the United States, rates of chlamydia, gonorrhea, and syphilis, have all risen in recent years. Chlamydia in the United States According to the CDC, chlamydia is the most commonly reported bacterial sexually transmitted infection (STI) in the United States. In 2023, there were around 492 cases of chlamydia per 100,000 population, a substantial increase from a rate of 289 per 100,000 population in the year 2002. Those aged 20 to 24 had the highest rates of chlamydia in the U.S. in 2023. Although chlamydia often has no symptoms, it can cause serious health problems if left untreated, one of the reasons those who are sexually active should be regularly tested for STDs. Once diagnosed, chlamydia can be easily cured with antibiotics. Gonorrhea Rates of gonorrhea in the United States decreased after reaching a peak in the 1980s but began to rise again over the past decade. In 2023, there were 179.5 cases of gonorrhea per 100,000 population in the United States, compared to 98 cases per 100,000 population in the year 2009. While rates of chlamydia in the U.S. tend to be higher among women than men, rates of gonorrhea are higher among men, with those aged 20 to 24 the most affected. Like chlamydia, gonorrhea can be cured with medicine but can cause serious and permanent health problems if left untreated.

    Abstract

Knowledge graph embedding is a representation learning technique which projects entities and relations in a knowledge graph to continuous vector spaces. Embeddings have gained a lot of uptake and have been heavily used in link prediction and other downstream prediction tasks. Most approaches are evaluated on a single task or a single group of tasks to determine their overall performance. The evaluation is then assessed in terms of how well the embedding approach performs on the task at hand, but it is hardly evaluated (and often not even deeply understood) what information the embedding approaches are actually learning to represent.

To fill this gap, we present the DLCC (Description Logic Class Constructors) benchmark, a resource to analyze embedding approaches in terms of which kinds of classes they can represent. Two gold standards are presented, one based on the real world knowledge graph DBpedia, and one synthetic gold standard.

    Description

CLARA This deposit is part of the CLARA project. The CLARA project aims to empower teachers in the task of creating new educational resources. And in particular with the task of handling the licenses of reused educational resources.

The present deposit contains the RDF files created using an RDF mapping (RML) and a mapper (Morph-KGC). The files used as inputs can be found here. That pipeline can be found on Gitlab. The data used in that pipeline originate from X5GON, a European project aiming to generate and gather open educational resources.

Content The present Knowledge Graph contains information about 45K educational resources and 135K subjects (extracted from DBpedia). That information contains

    the author,

    its title and description

    the license,

a URL to the resource itself,

the language of the educational resource,

    its mimetype,

and finally which subject it talks about, and to what extent.

That extent is given by two scores, a PageRank score and a cosinus score (that were not calculated on our graph but during the X5GON project)

A particularity of the Knowledge Graph is its heavy use of RDF reification, across large multi-valued properties. Other versions of the same deposit can be found using different reification models:

    Named graphs

    Singleton properties

    RDF-star

The Knowledge Graph also contains categories originating from DBpedia. They help precise the subjects that are also extracted from DBpedia.

The deposit contains five types of files:

Authors_[X].nt - Those contain the authors' nodes, their type, and name.

ER_[X].nt - Those contain the educational resources and their information using standard reification.

categories_skos_[X].ttl - Those contain the hierarchy of DBpedia categories.

categories_labels.ttl - This file contains additional information about the categories.

categories_article.ttl - This file contains the RDF triples that link the DBpedia subjects to the DBpedia categories.
