This layer represents current city parcels within the City of Los Angeles. It shares topology with the Landbase parcel lines feature class. The Mapping and Land Records Division of the Bureau of Engineering, Department of Public Works provides the most current geographic information of the public right of way, ownership and land record information. The legal boundaries are determined on the ground by license surveyors in the State of California, and by recorded documents from the Los Angeles County Recorder's office and the City Clerk's office of the City of Los Angeles. Parcel and ownership information are available on NavigateLA, a website hosted by the Bureau of Engineering, Department of Public Works.Associated information about the landbase parcels is entered into attributes. Principal attributes include:PIN and PIND: represents the unique auto-generated parcel identifier and key to related features and tables. This dataset is designed to represent and identify the property boundaries in Lexington-Fayette County. The original dataset was created in late 1990's by a third party that converted existing paper maps to digital GIS files. The data has since been updated by georeferencing recorded plats for corrections and new additions. In cases where the plats do not appear accurate, aerial photos are utilized in attempt to properly locate the property lines. The only except for this process are changes to highway right-of-way in which calls are run from deeds. The geometry of this data is not of survey quality and should not be used for survey purposes. The data is intended for general reference purposes only.As part of the basemap data layers, the parcel boundary map layer is an integral part of the Lexington Fayette-Urban County Government Geographic Information System. Basemap data layers are accessed by personnel in most LFUCG divisions for basic applications such as viewing, querying, and map output production. More advanced user applications may focus on thematic mapping, summarization of data by geography, or planning purposes (including defining boundaries, managing assets and facilities, integrating attribute databases with geographic features, spatial analysis, and presentation output).

A polygon index of recorded plats within Stark County, Ohio. A plat is a legally-recorded document that shows land divisions. This index includes all types of plats and is not limited to allotment subdivisions (this layer replaces the Allotment layer previously used within our organization). The most common document type included in this index is a subdivision plat, which are referred to as allotments in Stark County. It also includes, but is not limited to replats, annexations, and street dedications. This layer is updated and maintained by the Stark County Auditor Office (SCAO) Tax Map Department. It is by no means complete and is updated as new plats become available to the Tax Map Department. Where available, the attribute table includes a "Subdivision Link", which allows the downloading of an archived folder containing a digital copy of the document(s). There are also links (where available) to the Auditor's and Recorder's sites. Where links are not available, use the record volumes/pages or the instrument number to locate the documents through the Stark County Recorder's Search Records site.

The main purposes of this online map are 1. to demonstrate the Web-Based Geographic Information System (GIS) in the District of Columbia Office of Tax and Revenue (OTR) Real Property Tax Administration (RPTA), and 2. to share detailed real property data and information to real property owners, the public, and other government entities. The rich map and interactive application include relevant real property valuation contributing map layers, links to original source agencies, and a variety of search, query, and analysis options to meet the needs of a wide user base. The location and links to the original DC Boundary Stones add a fun, historical,and educational component.The Office of the Chief Financial Officer, DC Office of Tax and Revenue (OTR), Real Property Assessment Division values all real property in the District of Columbia. The public interactive online DC Office of Tax and Revenue Real Property Assessment Lot Map Search application accompanies the OTR Tax Payer Service Center and may be used to search for and view all real property, related assessment areas, assessment data, and detailed assessment information.
Tax Lot points. DC's Real Property Tax Administration defines assessment and taxation lots, often referred to as A&T lots or simply tax lots. These lots are strictly for real estate taxation purposes and normally defined under two circumstances: When property owners ask for their real property tax bills to be consolidated, after they have bought several contiguous record lots; this is called a combine;When part of a record lot is sold, but no new record lot is yet defined; this is called a split request.Tax lots are not determined by survey, and are therefore not official lots in the same way record lots are. These lots are normally numbered between 800 and 1999within a square to differentiate them from record lots on the property tax maps. When a tax lot is established by RPTA, an A&T Plat is generated by RPTA and forwarded to the surveyor’s office. These A&T Plats are not reviewed but simply filed by the Surveyor; they do not comply with the standards required of subdivision plats, and are not recorded. Tax Lots are not normally acceptable when applying for building permits and must be converted to Record Lots through the normal subdivision process involving the D.C. Surveyor’s Office before permits will be issued. The only exception is if the lot does not face a public street. Furthermore, at the time of their creation and platting, there is no review made of tax lots for compliance with D.C. Zoning, Subdivisions or any other ordinances. These lots are simply pieces of property, owned by somebody, described in deeds, for which tax bills are sent and real estate taxes are collected by the city. Some Record Lots also function in this capacity. Geographically, tax lots typically overlay layers such as record lots or sometimes reservations. There are known instances where tax lots do not overlay these types of layers. Up until approximately 1972, A&T lots were only created by the Tax Assessor out of lands that had been previously Record Lots at some point in their history. For a short period of time in the early to mid 1970’s, a decision was made to start eliminating fractional parcels (see definition below) and make them all into A&T lots. The intent was to do away with Parcels altogether and have all properties in the city be either tax lots or record lots. By doing this, they converted unsubdivided parcels into A&T lots where no underlying record lot exists. There is often little or no historical source information about these types of transactions therefore vectorizing them often required vast amounts of research.

Lot lines delineate the boundary of a lot or lots within a tax parcel. Most lot lines were digitized from record information using bearing and distance (recorded subdivision plats and recorded deeds). Some were scanned from recorded plat mylars. Lot polygons delineate the boundary of a lot or lots within a tax parcel. Currently, these exist only for the City of Seward.

Subdivision Lots based off of the legal description recorded with the Commissioner of the Revenue. Subdivisions are enumerated in the lot-block-section system (plat system), which refers to specific parcels of land identified by a lot number or letter within a block, or subdivision plat, in which the lot is located.Subdivision Lots are maintained within the Parcel Feature and is dissolved out weekly. The Parcel feature is the geographic representation of cadastral records within the County as recorded in deeds and plats. The current parcel set is based off of the 1979 double circle maps by Wingate Appraisal & Mapping and digitized in the early 1990's. The data is continuously updated, as new land records become available. New parcels are added in a “best fit” methodology giving preference to the most current source. This feature is co-managed in AutoCAD and ArcMap. In Arc this polygon feature is part of an Editing topology along with our Zoning feature and our Administration feature. This prevents self-intersection and gaps, while ensuring complete coverage among the participating features.

These are the cadastral reference features that provide the basis and framework for parcel mapping and for other mapping. This feature data set contains PLSS and Other Survey System data. The other survey systems include subdivision plats and those types of survey reference systems. This feature data set also include feature classes to support the special conditions in Ohio. This data set represents the GIS Version of the Public Land Survey System including both rectangular and non-rectangular surveys. The primary source for the data is cadastral survey records housed by the BLM supplemented with local records and geographic control coordinates from states, counties as well as other federal agencies such as the USGS and USFS. The data has been converted from source documents to digital form and transferred into a GIS format that is compliant with FGDC Cadastral Data Content Standards and Guidelines for publication. This data is optimized for data publication and sharing rather than for specific "production" or operation and maintenance. This data set includes the following: PLSS Fully Intersected (all of the PLSS feature at the atomic or smallest polygon level), PLSS Townships, First Divisions and Second Divisions (the hierarchical break down of the PLSS Rectangular surveys) PLSS Special surveys (non rectangular components of the PLSS) Meandered Water, Corners and Conflicted Areas (known areas of gaps or overlaps between Townships or state boundaries). We constructed a time-series spatial dataset of parcel boundaries for the period 1962-2005, in roughly 4-year intervals, by digitizing historical plat maps for Dane County and combining them with the 2005 GIS digital parcel dataset. The resulting datasets enable the consistent tracking of subdivision and development for all parcels over a given time frame. The process involved 1) dissolving and merging the 2005 digital Dane County parcel dataset based on contiguity and name, 2) further merging 2005 parcels based on the hard copy 2005 Plat book, and then 3) the reverse chronological merging of parcels to reconstruct previous years, at 4-year intervals, based on historical plat books. Additional land use information such as 1) whether a structure was actually constructed (using the companion digitized aerial photo dataset), 2) cover crop, and 3) permeable surface area, can be added to these datasets at a later date.
