This resource is a member of a series. The TIGER/Line shapefiles and related database files (.dbf) are an extract of selected geographic and cartographic information from the U.S. Census Bureau's Master Address File / Topologically Integrated Geographic Encoding and Referencing (MAF/TIGER) System (MTS). The MTS represents a seamless national file with no overlaps or gaps between parts, however, each TIGER/Line shapefile is designed to stand alone as an independent data set, or they can be combined to cover the entire nation. The All Roads shapefile includes all features within the MTS Super Class "Road/Path Features" distinguished where the MAF/TIGER Feature Classification Code (MTFCC) for the feature in the MTS that begins with "S". This includes all primary, secondary, local neighborhood, and rural roads, city streets, vehicular trails (4wd), ramps, service drives, alleys, parking lot roads, private roads for service vehicles (logging, oil fields, ranches, etc.), bike paths or trails, bridle/horse paths, walkways/pedestrian trails, and stairways.

The GIS shapefile and summary tables provide irrigated agricultural land-use for Citrus, Hernando, Pasco, and Sumter Counties, Florida through a cooperative project between the U.S Geological Survey (USGS) and the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services (FDACS), Office of Agricultural Water Policy. Information provided in the shapefile includes the location of irrigated land field verified for 2019, crop type, irrigation system type, and primary water source used in Citrus, Hernando, Pasco, and Sumter Counties, Florida. A map image of the shapefile is provided in the attachment.

This layer shows the fire hydrants of the county and who maintains them. Hydrants are now scheduled to be updated on an annual basis and contracted through R & M Service Solutions. Data updated as of 04/18/2018.

The Urban Development Boundary (UDB) is a area adopted as part of the Future Land Use Map that is intended for urban type use and development is encouraged. This layer outlines the densely populated areas of Sumter County and is primary used for planning purposes.

No line work was adjusted between county boundaries.The polygon data set represents the information property appraisers gathered from the legal description on deeds, lot layout of recorded plats, declaration of condominium documents, recorded and unrecorded surveys.Individual parcel data is updated continually by each county property appraiser as needed. The GIS linework and related attributions for the statewide parcel map are updated annually by the Department every August. Linear Water Features includes single-line drainage water features and artificial path features that run through double-line drainage features such as rivers and streams, and serve as a linear representation of these features. The artificial path features may correspond to those in the USGS National Hydrographic Dataset (NHD). However, in many cases the features do not match NHD equivalent feature and will not carry the NHD metadata codes. These features have a MAF/TIGER Feature Classification Code (MTFCC) beginning with an "H" to indicate the super class of Hydrographic Features.

The polygon data set represents the information property appraisers gathered from the legal description on deeds, lot layout of recorded plats, declaration of condominium documents, recorded and unrecorded surveys.The centroids were derived from the parcel polygons. Using ArcPRO, the repair geometry tool was used, followed by the feature to point tool. All centroids were created within the polygon's boundary even if the center of the irregular polygon was outside its boundary. Individual parcel data is updated continually by each county property appraiser as needed. The GIS linework and related attributions for the statewide parcel map are updated annually by the Department every August. The term "Managed Area" refers to a managed conservation land. Data was last updated March 2018; updated information may be available from the Southwest Florida Water Management District's data portal.

Mosquito Spray Zones. Includes Adulticiding (night spraying), Larvaciding (treating aquatic breeding sites) and surveillance of mosquitoes by way of light trap locations and location of aquatic breeding sites. All in an effort to reduce the number of pestiferous and disease carrying mosquitoes through out Sumter County.

This dataset contains point address features such as the site address and other feature classes required for the administration of address information. Address points are continuously updated on a bi-weekly basis.
