"The Obstacle Limitation Surface (OLS) (line) layer forms part of the Airport Environs Overlay Maps within the Sunshine Coast Planning Scheme 2014. The Obstacle Limitation Surface (OLS) (line) layer identifies the Obstacle Limitation Surface. The purpose of the Runway Separation Distances (polygon) is to trigger the Runway Seperation Distances in the search function of the Sunshine Coast Planning Scheme interactive mapping. This layer is for the purpose of the Sunshine Coast Planning Scheme 2014 only. Please contact Council on 5475 7526 or email mail@sunshinecoast.qld.gov.au for more information on the Sunshine Coast Planning Scheme 2014.
Notes on Airport Environs Overlay Maps ─ * Overlays provide a trigger for consideration of an overlay issue to be verified by further on-site investigations. * In certain circumstances pre-existing development approvals may override the operation of an overlay."

Technical resource supporting the "Sunshine Coast Ecosystem Functions Mapping Tool". The Ecosystem Function Mapping and Reporting Tool is an open-access GIS-based interface through which any user can instantly generate and navigate high-resolution spatial representations of the performance of the 19 ecosystem functions separately, or in combinations, from lot-level to whole-of-Sunshine-Coast-Region scales. In addition to sophisticated query, mapping, and reporting capabilities, the online tool enables users to seamlessly access and overlay an expansive set of Queensland and Sunshine Coast Council (SCC) data layers such as local planning scheme zones, conservation areas, Matters of State Environmental Significance, infrastructure corridors and many more.

The Sunshine Coast Regional 3D Model was captured in 2019 through a joint project between Sunshine Coast Council and the Queensland Department of Resources. The model covers over 700 square kilometres in medium (7cm) resolution, divided into Blocks A to H.There are 18 square kilometres of high (2cm) resolution, divided into the following areas:Coolum BeachMaroochydoreBokarinaCaloundraThree high density urban streetscapes were captured at street level:Ocean Street, MaroochydoreMooloolaba Esplanade, MooloolabaBulcock Street, CaloundraA dataset showing the layer boundaries is available here: 3D Regional Model Boundaries. The horizontal coordinate system is GDA2020 MGA Zone 56 (EPSG:7856) and the vertical coordinate system is the Australian Height Datum (EPSG:5711).

This work presents datasets that can be used for getting a good understanding of an essential geoscience content knowledge that describe earth's coordinate systems. This include coordinate system used for spherical/spheroidal earth with latitudes and longitudes and their subsequent transformations to 2d maps on a variety of media (paper as well as digital) using the process of map projections. The datasets include PDF documents that are embedded with 3d models, animations and mathematical equations. The dataset has separate PDF documents for geographic (for spherical earth) and projected (2d) coordinate systems. Additionally, the data set include individual 3d models that can be used in various digital systems (including apps) and the animations in mp4 format that can be watched on most of the modern digital devices.

This study presents data products to visualize past, current and alternate scenarios for an ecologically sensitive and development prone area in a sub-tropical coastal spit. Data products are created using a diverse range of geodesign tools that include existing and archived high resolution active and passive remote sensing datasets, existing, derived, and digitized spatial layers together with procedural modelling. The final products include 3d and interactive Cityengine Webscene files and fly-throughs in a generic movie format. While the fly-through movies can be played on standard digital devices, the Cityengine Webscenes once uploaded on ArcGIS website requires an Internet ready device for visualization and interaction.
