The Syndicate extension for CKAN provides a mechanism to automatically propagate dataset updates from one CKAN instance to another. It allows designated datasets, identified by a flag in their custom metadata, to be mirrored on a target CKAN instance. The extension stores resources in syndicated datasets as URLs pointing back to the original resources, minimizing data duplication. This makes it easier for organizations to share data across multiple CKAN portals, centralizing data management, and keeping data consistent across platforms as it propagates dataset updates. Key Features: Dataset Syndication: Enables mirroring of datasets between CKAN instances. Updates to a dataset on the source instance are automatically reflected in the syndicated version on the target instance if dataset has the syndicate flag set to True. Resource Linking: Resources within the syndicated dataset are stored as URLs linking to the original resources, rather than being duplicated. This reduces storage requirements and ensures that the syndicated dataset always points to the most up-to-date data itself.

Abstract The present investigation proposes a method of analysis of information production of digital media. The method employed consists of the analysis of information production, which can be collected from syndication channels in the press media, radio and digital television. The syndication channels of digital media in Portugal has been taken as an example case as a result of the collaboration of the Universidade Nova de Lisboa. The sources of analyzed information were classified according to their geographical location and theme. The aggregation system used has allowed the organization of media according to typology and data obtention, such as: the quantity of information published by regions, news ratio by syndication channel and region, number of syndication channels and news according to thematic coverage, retrospective resilience, average production per day and fractions, and detection of news that had the greatest impact on the sample analyzed. The obtained results have allowed the characterization and definition of the publication patterns of media in Portugal. On the other hand, we proposed a full-text classification method that has allowed locating and retrieving information with the highest impact.

This enhances web visibility, customer satisfaction, and sales conversion rates. Demand for Omnichannel Retailing: Retailers must guarantee consistency and accuracy in product information across all touchpoints as consumers expect a seamless shopping experience across multiple channels, including websites, mobile apps, social media platforms, and brick-and-mortar stores. Retailers may improve brand reputation and customer happiness by using MDM PDS solutions to synchronize product data in real-time and give consistent product information across numerous channels. Regulatory Compliance and Data Governance: For companies operating in highly regulated industries including healthcare, pharmaceuticals, food and beverage, and consumer goods, compliance with regulatory regulations, industry standards, and data governance rules is essential. MDM PDS solutions facilitate traceability, labelling, and reporting requirements while guaranteeing the accuracy, consistency, and completeness of product data. This helps enterprises stay compliant. Globalization and Expansion Initiatives: Businesses have difficulties with localization, language translation, and cultural adaption of product information as they enter new markets and regions. Organizations can support international expansion ambitions and market penetration goals by using MDM PDS solutions to manage multilingual product catalogues, adapt product descriptions and specifications, and adhere to regional rules and labelling requirements. Demand for Real-time Data Synchronization: Businesses must react swiftly to shifts in the market, client preferences, and competitive dynamics in the fast-paced business world of today. With real-time data synchronization capabilities provided by MDM PDS solutions, businesses can improve their agility and responsiveness by launching new goods more quickly, updating product information dynamically, and taking advantage of developing market opportunities. To estimate the influence of proximities on VC-backed startups' fate, we extracted data on startups and their VC investors over 34 years between 1980 and 2014. The data were extracted from Dow Jones’ VentureSource data platform. They cover VC deals in sixty-eight countries worldwide. We selected only startups financed by a VC round at least once in their lifetime. They belong to twenty-four industrial sectors (GICS 3-digit). We collected the available information on their financing rounds, investors and investment types, industry segments, and localization. For each startup in the dataset, we obtained information on VC funding rounds (“seed, 1st, 2nd, …, 9th, later, restart”) and on other sources of new funding, such as private equity investments and debt funding. Some of these funding rounds are exit events: acquisitions, mergers, IPOs or SPOs, and court liquidations. When VC investors liquidate their investments, and some new non-VC investors take over, the company is no longer VC-backed; thus, it is no longer tracked in the database. Consequently, the dataset exhibits a duration/survival structure: startups in the cross-sectional dimension but funding or exit event dates instead of calendar dates in the longitudinal dimension. The sample covers 51,969.

The 3D multi channel seismic data were acquired as part of a collaborative investigation into models of magmatic segmentation between the Scripps Institute of Oceanography and BIRPS (the British Institutions Reflection Profiling Syndicate). The 3D EPR (East Pacific Rise) ARAD (Anatomy of a Ridge Axis Discontinuity) EW9707 cruise was undertaken in September and October 1997 to provide both refelction and wide-angle seismic data for the study of the overlapping spreading centre (OSC) at 9 degrees 3 minutes N on the East Pacific Rise. The data were acquired with a single source and a single streamer with a nominal line spacing of 100 m. The 3D-EPR ARAD survey was a joint NERC/NSF (US National Science Foundation) funded project and the copyright for this survey is held jointly. Reference: Bazin, S. Harding, AJ. et al. The growing expansion of Internet access and mass-scale usage of social networking platforms and search engines have forced digital newspapers to deal with challenges, amongst which are the need to constantly update news, the increasing complexity of sources, the difficulty of exercising their function as gatekeepers in a fragmented environment in which the opinions, biases and preconceptions of pundits, their followers, Twitter users, etc. has taken on a new and decisive weight and the mounting pressure to publish certain news items simply because they sell. They must also share audiences with aggregators devoted to the business of disseminating content produced by digital news publishers, blogs and RSS feeds, which is chosen on the basis of search engine algorithms, the votes of users or the preferences of readers. The fact that these computerized systems of news distribution seldom employ the criteria upon which journalism is based suggests that the work of gatekeeping is being reframed in a way that progressively eliminates journalists from the process of deciding what is newsworthy. This study of these trends has entailed a 47 point assessment of 30 news aggregators currently providing syndicated content and eight semi-structured interviews with editors of quality mass-distribution digital newspapers published in the U.S., Spain and Portugal.
