    Description

Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) daily 30-second sampled data available from the Crustal Dynamics Data Information System (CDDIS). Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) provide autonomous geo-spatial positioning with global coverage. GNSS data sets from ground receivers at the CDDIS consist primarily of the data from the U.S. Global Positioning System (GPS) and the Russian GLObal NAvigation Satellite System (GLONASS). Other GNSS (Europe’s Galileo, China’s Beidou, Japan’s Quasi-Zenith Satellite System/QZSS, the Indian Regional Navigation Satellite System/IRNSS, and worldwide Satellite Based Augmentation Systems/SBASs) are similar to the U.S. GPS in terms of the satellite constellation, orbits, and signal structure; CDDIS began archiving data from these systems in 2011. These data include hourly files of observation (30-second sampling), broadcast ephemeris, meteorological messages in RINEX format as well as other files (e.g., hourly meteorological data) from a global network of permanent ground-based receivers.

    Description

Health management (HM) technologies have been employed for safety critical system for decades, but a coherent systematic process to integrate HM into the system design is not yet clear. Consequently, in most cases, health management resorts to be an after-thought or ‘band-aid’ solution. Moreover, limited guidance exists for carrying out systems engineering (SE) on the subject of writing requirements for designs with integrated vehicle health management (IVHM). It is well accepted that requirements are key to developing a successful IVHM system right from the concept stage to development, verification, utilization, and support. However, writing requirements for systems with IVHM capability have unique challenges that require the designers to look beyond their own domains and consider the constraints and specifications of other interlinked systems. In this paper we look at various stages in the SE process and identify activities specific to IVHM design and development. More importantly, several relevant questions are posed that system engineers must address at various design and development stages. Addressing these questions should provide some guidance to systems engineers towards writing IVHM related requirements to ensure that appropriate IVHM functions are built into the system design

    Description

This dataset contains materials from the Coalition for Community-Supported Affordable Geothermal Energy Systems (C2SAGES) project, which evaluated the techno-economic feasibility of a community geothermal system for a residential development in Hinesburg, VT. The dataset includes detailed soil conductivity test reports, energy models, borehole design reports, hourly energy loads for heating, cooling, and hot water, and design layouts. EnergyPlus was used to model building energy loads, and Modelica software was applied for geothermal loop sizing based on these loads and soil conductivity results. Python scripts for network design further refined the models. Key files include PDF reports on borehole design (with projections for 1-year, 15-year, and 30-year systems), soil conductivity test results, EnergyPlus modeling outputs, and 2D/3D design drawings in PDF, DWG, and DXF formats. Python notebooks for network design and OnePipe model files are also provided, with Modelica required for viewing certain files. Outputs and modeling data are in various formats including CSV, JPG, HTML, and IDF, with units and data clearly labeled to support understanding of system design and performance for the proposed geothermal solution.

Flight Standards Service (AFS), Aircraft Certification Service (AIR) and the Office of Aerospace Medicine (AAM) use non-governmental entities to perform certain duties of the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). These non-governmental entities are commonly referred to as ‘Designees.’ These Designees perform various examinations, inspection and temporary issuance functions on behalf of the Administrator, although they are not employees of the FAA. Designees are utilized based on FAA need, ability to manage, and designee applicant qualifications. The AFS, AIR, and AAM organizations fall under the Associate Administrator for Aviation Safety (AVS).

    Description

Data set for figures in the paper titled "Compact Homodyne Extrapolation System (CHEXS)".Abstract: We present on a novel gain extrapolation antenna range, the Compact Homodyne Extrapolation System (CHEXS), that can achieve absolute antenna gain measurements with uncertainties of +/-0.1 dB or better with as few at 10 data points and is significantly more compact, up to six times shorter than conventional gain extrapolation ranges. This compact gain extrapolation range achieves these beneficial attributes by measuring the homodyne signal that occurs naturally between two directional antennas that often exhibit strong third order mutual coupling at close proximity. The design and operation of the CHEXS is presented along with gain measurements of NIST reference standard gain antennas which are shown to be equivalent to those obtained using a conventional gain extrapolation range.

Note: Find data at source. ・ The Battery Energy Storage Hosting Capacity data that is being provided is for information purposes only and is not intended to be a substitute for the established interconnection process. The analyses presented in these displays provide the feeder level energy storage hosting capacity for the distribution circuits evaluated. Hosting Capacity for energy storage is an estimate of the amount of charging and discharging that may be accommodated without adversely impacting power quality or reliability under current configurations and without requiring infrastructure upgrades. Please note that this analysis was conducted under current configurations, and prior to infrastructure upgrades such as; installing a recloser or remote terminal unit at the Point of Common Coupling, replacing a voltage regulating device or controller to allow for reverse flow, substation-related upgrades including 3V0 protection, or other protection-related upgrades. For the Stage 1 displays, each circuit’s hosting capacity is determined by evaluating the potential power system criteria violations as a result of charging and discharging systems. The analyses represent the overall feeder level hosting capacity only, and do not account for all factors that could impact interconnection costs. Please note that issues related to circuit protection require further analysis to make a definitive determination of hosting capacity. Additional displays with tabulated data have been included in the form of data pop-up displays.
