    Description

Vector polygon map data of city limits from Tacoma, Washington containing 280 features.

City limits GIS (Geographic Information System) data provides valuable information about the boundaries of a city, which is crucial for various planning and decision-making processes. Urban planners and government officials use this data to understand the extent of their jurisdiction and to make informed decisions regarding zoning, land use, and infrastructure development within the city limits.

By overlaying city limits GIS data with other layers such as population density, land parcels, and environmental features, planners can analyze spatial patterns and identify areas for growth, conservation, or redevelopment. This data also aids in emergency management by defining the areas of responsibility for different emergency services, helping to streamline response efforts during crises..

This city limits data is available for viewing and sharing as a map in a Koordinates map viewer. This data is also available for export to DWG for CAD, PDF, KML, CSV, and GIS data formats, including Shapefile, MapInfo, and Geodatabase.

    Description

The In Lieu Sewer Assessment (Assessment) is a one-time assessment for the pro rata reimbursement to the City of Tacoma (City) for the costs associated with bringing sewer services to an area. In May 1963 the City passed Ordinance No. 17337 making every property in our City limits subject to an Assessment as a means of capturing this cost recovery and codified it under Tacoma Municipal Code (TMC) 12.08B.230. Constructive notice of the Assessment was filed and recorded with the Pierce County Auditor's office [Recording Nos. 2864651; 2881434; 8012010130] and should be noted as an exception to title on a property's title report (assuming a property was acquired after 1963) and may appear as "In Lieu Assessment," "Sewer Assessment," "Tap and Connection Charge," "Latecomers Charge," etc. For any questions, please contact Azure Brown Real Estate Specialist with City of Tacoma Real Property Services: abrown2@cityoftacoma.org.
