Data gathered from 1977 to 1981 as background to M.Sc. thesis, Native lake trout (Salvelinus namaycush) stocks in the Canadian waters of Lake Superior prior to 1955 (1981, John L. Goodier, Institute for Environmental Studies and Department of Zoology, University of Toronto). Contains hand-written notes pertaining to the commercial fisheries of the Canadian waters of Lake Superior, especially those for lake trout, and prior to the invasion of the parasitic sea lamprey species. Includes records of local histories, oral interview notes, extracts of Hudson's Bay Co. trading post diaries and fisheries overseer reports, fish catch and planting statistics, census records, bibliographies, and spawning and fishing ground maps. This is File 4 of a total of 4.
