The City of King City (“City”) is a suburban city of approximately 5100 citizens surrounded on the north and east sides by the City of Tigard, the south side by the Tualatin River and the City of Tualatin, and by developing and rural Washington County on the north and west sides. Originally developed as a Planned Unit Development, expressly as a retirement community, it was incorporated in 1966. The City of King City has seen rapid growth and expansion, with several new subdivisions currently under construction. The population is expected to double within the next 5-10 years.
