    Description

Publication Date: April 2025. This polygon layer is updated annually.

This layer contains 2024 parcel data only for NY State counties which gave NYS ITs Geospatatial Services permission to share this data with the public. Work to obtain parcel data from additional counties, as well as permission to share the data, is ongoing. To date, 36 counties have provided the Geospatial Services permission to share their parcel data with the public. Parcel data for counties which do not allow the Geospatial Services to redistribute their data must be obtained directly from those counties. Geospatial Services' goal is to eventually include parcel data for all counties in New York State.

Parcel geometry was incorporated as received from County Real Property Departments. No attempt was made to edge-match parcels along adjacent counties. County attribute values were populated using 2024 Assessment Roll tabular data Geospatial Services obtained from the NYS Department of Tax and Finance’s Office of Real Property Tax Services (ORPTS). Tabular assessment data was joined to the county provided parcel geometry using the SWIS & SBL or SWIS & PRINT KEY unique identifier for each parcel.

Detailed information about assessment attributes can be found in the ORPTS Assessor’s Manuals available here: https://www.tax.ny.gov/research/property/assess/manuals/assersmanual.htm. New York City data comes from NYC MapPluto which can be found here: https://www1.nyc.gov/site/planning/data-maps/open-data/dwn-pluto-mappluto.page.

This layer displays when zoomed in below 1:37,051-scale.

This map service is available to the public.

Geometry accuracy varies by contributing county.

Thanks to the following counties that specifically authorized Geospatial Services to share their GIS tax parcel data with the public: Albany, Cayuga, Chautauqua, Cortland, Erie, Genesee, Greene, Hamilton, Lewis, Livingston, Montgomery, New York City (Bronx, Kings, New York, Queens, Richmond), Oneida, Onondaga, Ontario, Orange, Oswego, Otsego, Putnam, Rensselaer, Rockland, Schuyler, Steuben, St Lawrence, Suffolk, Sullivan, Tioga, Tompkins, Ulster, Warren, Wayne, and Westchester.

From the site: “The Geologic Atlas of the United States is a set of 227 folios published by the U.S. Geological Survey between 1894 and 1945. Each folio includes both topographic and geologic maps for each quad represented in that folio, as well as description of the basic and economic geology of the area. The Geologic Atlas collection is maintained by the Map & GIS Library. The repository interface with integrated Yahoo! Maps was developed by the Digital Initiatives -- Research & Technology group within the TAMU Libraries using the Manakin interface framework on top of the DSpace digital repository software.

Additional files of each map are available for download for use in GIS or Google Earth. A tutorial is provided which describes how to download theses files.”

    Description

This dataset consists of Structure-from-Motion derived point clouds and detailed orthomosaic images of two exposures covering the upper part of the Lockhaven Formation near Tioga, Pennsylvania. For each roadcut exposure, two datasets are published: an orthomosaic raster image and a point cloud. The orthomosaic raster image is a vertical outcrop orthomosaic constructed from multiple orthophotos to create a geometrically rectified image. This facilitates a detailed visual inspection of the stratigraphic succession outside of a GIS environment, unlike georefrenced orthomosaics derived from aerial imagery. Point-cloud files provide 3D geospatial data that enables inspection in a three-dimensional geospatial environment. As a geospatial dataset, they can be combined with other reference geodatasets, enhancing analysis and application in geologic mapping.

    Description

The idea for Tioga Tells arose from a widespread realization among community partners: data tells us about the status of our community for a specific snapshot in time, but it doesn’t describe the process of how we got there through the voice of those who live, work, play and thrive in that community. The objectives identified by community partners listed on the following page were developed directly from the challenges in advocating for resources and services needed to address factors impacting quality of life for Tioga County residents. At its core, Tioga Tells is about inviting residents to the table to tell their own stories. In partnership with Tioga Opportunities, Inc. and Tioga County Public Health, Rural Health Network SCNY kicked off the Tioga Tells project in August 2018 when Deanna Hutchison joined the team as an AmeriCorps VISTA member. Deanna was tasked with examining existing assessments and reports, identifying areas in need of further exploration, and developing approaches to obtain fresh insights that would serve as an opportunity for community input on factors influencing quality of life in Tioga County. This report is intended to communicate the results of the project findings in a way that can be used by residents and stakeholders alike, to improve the quality of life in Tioga County.Recognizing a need for a resident-led assessment, a steering committee of people from a variety of backgrounds and sectors was developed to guide project efforts. Simply put, the objectives of the project were to:1) Identify the strengths and challenges impacting the quality of life of Tioga County residents2) Better understand how residents think about quality of life3) Better understand how residents make choices about whether and how to maintain and/or improvetheir quality of life.Over the past year, Tioga Tells has evolved into a project with heightened enthusiasm and numerous potential applications. By identifying quality of life factors relevant to Tioga County residents, stakeholders are presented with great opportunity and flexibility to apply this detailed understanding in community improvement. As the Executive Director of Tioga Opportunities, Maureen Abbott, states, “Feedback received from county residents throughout this process will act as a framework for developing strategies addressing quality of life issues and concerns. These strategies and recommendations will guide future planning and enhance overall quality of life in Tioga County for all residents.” Jack Salo, Rural Health Network SCNY Executive Director, adds: “An assessment which focuses on quality of life provides residents with an opportunity to create a shared vision for the future. Quality of life implies a community where basic needs are met and all members of the community have a role in creating a positive future.”

    Description

Feature layer of BicyclePA Routes for use with PennDOT's PennShare and OpenData applicationsBicyclePA routes were designed by experienced bicyclists to provide those who wish to traverse the state by bicycle with a guide to some of the Commonwealth’s highways and rail-trails. Some of these routes contain bike lanes or other facilities designed specifically for bicyclists traveling within the four corners of the Commonwealth. Every bicyclist is responsible for his or her personal safety and welfare and for remaining alert and mindful of conditions on the roads or trails. There are 10 designated BicyclePA routes- A, E, G, J, JS, L, S, V, Y, and Z. A: BicyclePA Route A runs north/south from Presque Isle State Park on Lake Erie to the West Virginia border just north of Morgantown in Greene County. E: BicyclePA Route E runs north/south from the New Jersey border along the Delaware River in Morrisville, PA to the Delaware border in Marcus Hook, PA. G: BicyclePA Route G runs north/south from the New York border in Lawrenceville, Tioga County to the Maryland border in Bedford County. J: BicyclePA Route J runs north/south from the New York border in Sayre, Bradford County to the Maryland border in two places: New Freedom, York County and south of Gettysburg in Adams County. JS: BicyclePA Route JS runs east/west between Seven Valleys in York County and Gettysburg in Adams County. L: BicyclePA Route L runs north/south from the New York border south of Binghamton in Susquehanna County to the Delaware border north of Wilmington in Chester County. S: BicyclePA Route S runs east/west from the New Jersey border at the Washington Crossing Military Park on the Delaware River in Bucks County to the West Virginia border east of Wheeling in Washington County. V: BicyclePA Route V runs east/west from the New Jersey border in Portland (Northampton County) to the Ohio border in Lawrence County, roughly parallel with Interstate 80. Y: BicyclePA Route Y runs east/west from the New York border in Pike County to the Ohio border in Crawford County.
