    Description

    The GEOS-5 FP-IT Assimilation Geo-colocated to OMI/Aura VIS 1-Orbit L2 Support Swath 13x24km (OMVFPITMET) provides selected parameters from GEOS-5 Forward Processing for Instrument Teams (FP-IT) assimilated product produced by the Global Modeling and Assimilation Office (GMAO) co-located in space and time with the OMI VIS swath. The fields in this product include surface pressure, vertical temperature profiles, surface and vertical wind profiles, tropopause pressure, boundary layer top pressure, and surface geopotenial. The OMI team also provides a corresponding product for the OMI UV-2 swath, OMUFPITMET. The product has been generated for convenient use by the OMI/Aura team in their L2 algorithms, and for research where those L2 products are used. The original GEOS-5 FP-IT data are reported on a 0.625 deg longitude by 0.5 deg latitude grid, whereas the OMI VIS spatial resolution is 13km x 24km at nadir. To reduce the size of each orbital file, FP-IT data fields with a vertical dimension of 72 layers have been reduced to 47 layers in OMVFPITMET by combining layers above the troposphere. The OMVFPITMET files are in netCDF4 format which is compatible with most HDF5 readers and tools. Each file is approximately 45mb in size. The lead for this product is Zachary Fasnacht of SSAI.     Description

    BackgroundRecently, increasing studies have shown that non-coding RNAs are closely associated with the progression and metastasis of cancer by participating in competing endogenous RNA (ceRNA) networks. However, the role of survival-associated ceRNAs in breast cancer (BC) remains unknown.MethodsThe Gene Expression Omnibus database and The Cancer Genome Atlas BRCA_dataset were used to identify differentially expressed RNAs. Furthermore, circRNA-miRNA interactions were predicted based on CircInteractome, while miRNA-mRNA interactions were predicted based on TargetScan, miRDB, and miRTarBase. The survival-associated ceRNA networks were constructed based on the predicted circRNA-miRNA and miRNA-mRNA pairs. Finally, the mechanism of miRNA-mRNA pairs was determined. Gene Ontology (GO) and Kyoto Encyclopedia of Genes and Genomes (KEGG) analyses of survival-related mRNAs were performed using the hypergeometric distribution formula in R software.The prognosis of hub genes was confirmed using gene set enrichment analysis.ResultsBased on the DE-circRNAs of the top 10 initial candidates, 162 DE-miRNAsand 34 DE-miRNAs associated with significant overall survival were obtained. The miRNA target genes were then identified using online tools and verified using the Cancer Genome Atlas (TCGA) database. Overall, 46 survival-associated DE-mRNAs were obtained. The results of GO and KEGG pathway enrichment analyses implied that up-regulated survival-related DE-mRNAs were mostly enriched in the “regulation of cell cycle” and “chromatin” pathways, while down-regulated survival-related DE-mRNAs were mostly enriched in “negative regulation of neurotrophin TRK receptor signaling” and “interleukin-6 receptor complex” pathways. Finally, the survival-associated circRNA-miRNA-mRNA ceRNA network was constructed using 34 miRNAs, 46 mRNAs, and 10 circRNAs. Based on the PPI network, two ceRNA axes were identified. These ceRNA axescould be considered biomarkers for BC.GSEA results revealed that the hub genes were correlated with “VANTVEER_BREAST_CANCER_POOR_PROGNOSIS”, and the hub genes were verified using BC patients' tissues.ConclusionsIn this study, we constructed a circRNA-mediated ceRNA network related to BC. This network provides new insight into discovering potential biomarkers for diagnosing and treating BC.

    This data set contains seismic velocity models published in Holmes et al. (2008). Wide-angle seismic refraction lines were shot during cruise EW0114 to four ocean bottom hydrophones within SEIR segments P1, P2, S1, and T. The 2-D crustal velocity models were constructed by jointly inverting hand-picked P wave refraction (Pg) and Moho reflection (PmP) traveltime data using a top-down, minimum-structure methodology. These data files are in ASCII format and were generated as part of the project called "The Effects of Changes in Mantle Temperature on Melt Supply and Crustal Accretion: An MCS Reflection and OBH Refraction Study of the Southeast Indian Ridge", and funding was provided by NSF grant 99-11720.

    The GEOS-5 FP-IT Assimilation Geo-colocated to OMI/Aura VIS 1-Orbit L2 Support Swath 13x24km (OMVFPITMET) provides selected parameters from GEOS-5 Forward Processing for Instrument Teams (FP-IT) assimilated product produced by the Global Modeling and Assimilation Office (GMAO) co-located in space and time with the OMI VIS swath. The fields in this product include surface pressure, vertical temperature profiles, surface and vertical wind profiles, tropopause pressure, boundary layer top pressure, and surface geopotenial. The OMI team also provides a corresponding product for the OMI UV-2 swath, OMUFPITMET. The product has been generated for convenient use by the OMI/Aura team in their L2 algorithms, and for research where those L2 products are used. The original GEOS-5 FP-IT data are reported on a 0.625 deg longitude by 0.5 deg latitude grid, whereas the OMI VIS spatial resolution is 13km x 24km at nadir. To reduce the size of each orbital file, FP-IT data fields with a vertical dimension of 72 layers have been reduced to 47 layers in OMVFPITMET by combining layers above the troposphere. The OMVFPITMET files are in netCDF4 format which is compatible with most HDF5 readers and tools. Each file is approximately 45mb in size. The lead for this product is Zachary Fasnacht of SSAI.     These are the datasets generated during the evaluation of the core concept transformation algebra. These are the results obtained when matching transformation graphs (automatically generated from workflows consisting of tools that have been annotated with expressions of our transformation algebra) to conceptual task descriptions (manually created to describe the underlying task). The tool annotations, workflows and task specifications can be found at https://github.com/quangis/cct. That repository also contains tools to reproduce these results.

    Description

    Sediment grab samples were taken in summer of 2017 and 2018 using a modified van Veen grab sampler. A sub-sample of the top two centimeters was stored in a jar. Dried and homogenized splits of the samples were sent to the Cornell Isotope Laboratory (COIL) to be analyzed for carbon and nitrogen concentrations as well as stable isotopic compositions. Total carbon (TC), total nitrogen (TN), and δ15N were determined on an aliquot of untreated, dried homogenized sediments. In order to accurately determine total organic carbon (TOC) and δ13C, removal of carbonate is necessary. This was achieved through sequential treatments of the sediments with dilute hydrochloric acid until no bubbling was observed. The acidified sediments were then rinsed in deionized water and re-dried. In the Cornell Lab the samples were analyzed using a NC2500 elemental analyzer interfaced with a Thermo Delta V isotope ratio mass spectrometer (IRMS). The data is presented here as an ESRI shapefile. There is an accompanying Excel spreadsheet. Funding was provided by the Long Island Sound Mapping Fund administered cooperatively by the EPA Long Island Sound Study and the Connecticut Department of Energy and Environmental Protection (DEEP).
