In November 2024, Google.com was the most popular website worldwide with 136 billion average monthly visits. The online platform has held the top spot as the most popular website since June 2010, when it pulled ahead of Yahoo into first place. Second-ranked YouTube generated more than 72.8 billion monthly visits in the measured period. The internet leaders: search, social, and e-commerce Social networks, search engines, and e-commerce websites shape the online experience as we know it. While Google leads the global online search market by far, YouTube and Facebook have become the world’s most popular websites for user generated content, solidifying Alphabet’s and Meta’s leadership over the online landscape. Meanwhile, websites such as Amazon and eBay generate millions in profits from the sale and distribution of goods, making the e-market sector an integral part of the global retail scene. What is next for online content? Powering social media and websites like Reddit and Wikipedia, user-generated content keeps moving the internet’s engines. However, the rise of generative artificial intelligence will bring significant changes to how online content is produced and handled. ChatGPT is already transforming how online search is performed, and news of Google's 2024 deal for licensing Reddit content to train large language models (LLMs) signal that the internet is likely to go through a new revolution. While AI's impact on the online market might bring both opportunities and challenges, effective content management will remain crucial for profitability on the web.

Scraped data from top 1 million domains as reported by Majestic 1 Million on June 5th, 2022. The homepage of each domain is scraped and all encountered javascript script source URLs are extracted.

Google.com continues to dominate the digital landscape, ranking as the most linked-to website worldwide with 468,745 referring subnets as of December 2024. Facebook.com follows closely in second place with 470,479 referring subnets, while YouTube.com ranked third with 417,827.

This dataset is composed of the URLs of the top 1 million websites. The domains are ranked using the Alexa traffic ranking which is determined using a combination of the browsing behavior of users on the website, the number of unique visitors, and the number of pageviews. In more detail, unique visitors are the number of unique users who visit a website on a given day, and pageviews are the total number of user URL requests for the website. However, multiple requests for the same website on the same day are counted as a single pageview. The website with the highest combination of unique visitors and pageviews is ranked the highest

The data can help people find companies/organizations with respect to ratings and reviews. This can help people to choose or recommend best services out there.

In November 2024, Google.com was the leading website in France by unique visitors, with around *** million single accesses to the URL during that month. Social video platform YouTube.com followed, with **** million unique monthly visitors. Additionally, Amazon.fr was ranked third with almost **** million unique monthly visitors.

Among one million websites receiving largest traffic, *** percent was using header-bidding technology in July 2025. The same was true for ***** percent of websites among the top 100 thousand and ***percent among the top 10 thousand.

This data is obtained daily by crawling the Alexa Top 1 Million sites and will soon include the Cisco Umbrella Top 1 Million. It includes data on the presence and configuration of various HTTP Response Headers, details on the TLS configuration, certificates, protocol, cipher and keys used and much more. Cached Chrome Top Million Websites

Onet was the leading information and publicity website in Poland, with ***** million real users in February 2025. Interia was next in the ranking, with nearly *** million website and app users.

Among top one million websites by traffic on the internet, *** percent used Amazon Transparent Ad Marketplace for header-bidding in October 2024, making it the most popular technology used for this purpose. Prebid ranked second, used by roughly *** percent of the top one million sites. In total, ***** thousand or *** percent of the top one million websites used header-bidding tech at that point in time.

This Dataset shows the Alexa Top 100 International Websites, and provides metrics on the volume of traffic that these sites were able to handle. The Alexa top 100 lists the 100 most visited websites in the world and measures various statistical information. I have looked up the Headquarters, either through alexa, or a Whois Lookup to get street address with i was then able to geocode. I was only able to successfully geocode 85 of the top 100 sites throughout the world. Alexa is updated daily so to get more up to date information visit their site directly. they don't have maps though.

In November 2024, Google.com ranked first as the website with the highest monthly traffic in Finland, with average monthly traffic of 500 million total visits. The video-based platform YouTube.com was ranked second with 298 million total visits during the measured period.

In November 2024, Google.com was the leading website in Peru by unique visits, with around 41.6 million single accesses to the URL during that month. YouTube.com came in second with approximately 27 million unique monthly visits, while Facebook.com ranked third in the country, with 17.2 million unique monthly visits.

Weather Channel had 285.6 million average visitors to its website in the 12 months running to May 2024, making it the leading global news brand worldwide in this respect. Following in second place was the New York Times with 113 million web visitors.

From September to November 2023, Google.com was the leading website in Italy, with more than 3.36 billion total monthly visits. The search engine was also popular in its Italian top-level domain, with Google.it reaching 232 million views. YouTube.com ranked second, with approximately 1.17 billion visits from users in Italy, while adult website Pornhub ranked fourth. Several online newspapers, Repubblica.it, Corriere.it, Gazzetta.it were also among the most visited websites during the month. Mediaset.it, which is the online streaming platform of one of the country's major television broadcasters, collected more than 126 million visits.
